Joana really is a legend. I used his guides way back in the day when they would open new servers here and there. I would even get whispers from people all the time how I was leveling so fast and shit. It was awesome. When WotLK came out, I used the guide in the race for realm first: death knight and almost had it, too. But a horde player got it 15 minutes before I did. That one extra nap I took will haunt me forever.
Nixxiom, honestly, I thought I lost you. I'm a guy who changed from ESO to WoW because of... reasons. But for the last 3 months I've been living on your machinimas and other WoW videos.. SO PLEASE STAY WITH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!
i used that guide back in the day and let me tell you that you CANNOT get a proper assement with just level 1-10, the guide gets REALLY good around lvls 25-50 because it is a great way to figure out what to do where to go what to kill, and even tells you if your under a certain level to grind mobs to get to the level required and also tells you to NOT hand in certain quests at that time for better XP over all progress.
While that is true, it doesnt matter for the comparison made here, since the guide doesnt care how often you quested before. Im new to classic and for me this would actually be really helpful and i would save alot of time. The problem i have is, that there are alot of other addons which are also really helpful and not as expensive.
I would pay 5 bucks for it, and not for the exact directions but for those little details lile how to get to wetlands for example. But 37usd? Thats a really bad move if you ask me. For 5usd a lot of people would buy it
It makes the guide only appealing to people who don't have enough time to level but can also afford $37 to save time. If I had more income and I got fed up of Vanilla levelling, I'd consider the guide. But I have no idea how much time following it actually saves. And if the satisfaction of being efficient offsets having less choice in how I play to level.
I hit level 20 in Classic, so as a personal challenge, I decided to go and pick up every flight path in the game for my faction. I died a lot, but I managed it in just a few sittings. :-)
Say, you REALLY want to get to 60 but you also have commitments. The zen relaxed nature/discovery of getting to 60 isn't doing it for you. I wish I could see speculative time savings of getting to 60, but for me, it'd cost me 4 hours of my day job to cover the cost of this guide. If the guide shaves over 4 hours off getting to 60 then perhaps, for me, it's something to consider if I get levelling fatigue. You're paying 37 dollars to save time which can be used in other ways.
It's actually slower than joanas guide. But at least it's free. Joanas guide is not that great, especially since questing is pretty slow now that everyone is the same level and competing for the same mobs but it's better than other questing guides currently out there.
I'm using they zygor leveling guide. I leveled to level 7 in about 40 mins. Now, it took that long because I was leveling 2 gathering professions plus fishing at the same time. I take my time since I want to make gold to where I can buy bags (my one disadvantage is that I can't afford 6 slot bags since it would make me go broke with the 16 silver I have at level 8 and no bags have dropped). If I was not leveling professions, i would've leveled much faster. I am also leveling a human.
Okay man....its been what, over a year since you released a machinima ? I get you man, it takes time. I watched your video on the process and it's a hell of an endeavor. But, I subscribed for your machinima. The other stuff was icing on the cake, but now theres no cake. It's just constant icing, which is fine for a bit, but you've definitely strayed from where you gained your most followers. I still appreciate all the work you do, I really do, but I'd like to see you get back to your roots.
Zygor Guide is the best guide out there right know. Leveled with a lot of guides in the past. I realy love, that the guide shows u the steps ingame and even gives you an arrow to follow.
You should've made a reference with Azeroth Auto Pilot, because it tells you ingame where to go and what to do, even if you have no Idea of what you are doing
I love these ideas for challenging the game to make it more fun so it's not gonna be stuck in a boring routine and makes the game fun again 🙆🏼🎶 Thank you as always for sharing this with us!
That's awesome, I think it's super cool that Joana saw this opportunity to create a product that he can sell. What I am curious though is what happens when you factor in the time spent reading the guide or looking up the next steps? In the first run you had to read through quests and look up where to go etc. I am assuming all of this is explained into the guide + I see looking things up as part of the leveling process. Awesome video!
I bought this guide back in vanilla too. I thought it was great. I might have to look at the competition and see what's out there since others in the comments have mentioned a few, but I'd really like to jump into this one again regardless of the price.
You are a joke. he is a business literally everything he does is paid. do not get your panties pinched because he makes money. if you enjoyed the video, drop a like and a follow and move on.
I am one of those that levels for the journey, but I think I will get this guide for alts that I have already done the journey in vanilla. Plus, I just find some stuff like this interesting. It helps you look at things in a different light, and that is helpful in more than just gaming. p.s. I have an idea for a machinima, where the noob is pulled into working a toll booth for flight paths, and all the things that can go wrong and pummel him from it. Like as soon as the booth opens he is buried in all the coins that are dropped on him from people flying by.
It is literally pay to skip the game. In classic, leveling is the game. Speed leveling is such a retail thing to do and then you will get to max level, you will speed right through end game content and then complain that there is nothing left for you to do while a wiser player could have fun of classic wow for years to come.
speed leveling is also a fun way to challenge yourself, i wouldn't recommend someone doing it on their first toon, but getting to 60 in vanilla is a pretty monumental task that takes alot of time for most players, in that regard i can see why it'd be fun for people to speed level characters just to see if they could do it
I just use questie. It shows you quest locations on the world map so you know where every quest is at your level. Go there and pick it up. And best of all, it's free.
The second character is going to be faster regardless of the guide because you literally just did all the quests and know where everything is the second time through...
He literally says in the video he didn't even realize there were quests he missed lol. A guide showing EVERY QUEST, giving you EVERY detail is going to be faster.
A tip you did not get lucky with the trolls, if anything you were unlucky, most exp you get in classic wow is mob kill exp, not having to kill those trolls slowed you down, not sped you up, Joanna actually reccomends to kill mobs that are convinient along the way (as in on the path, not walking far away from your route to kill a mob, just the ones that would take a couple of seconds extra) so that you will lessen the large grinding portions you would find later down the line.
I avoided mobs for years, travelled roads to try to get places faster but eventually read the tip about killing mobs on the way. It's a noticeable difference in leveling speed, and a bit satisfying to cut a swath through the wilderness from place to place. I might have to make a fire mage named Sherman.
Quests are supplements to grinding. Grinding is still the main XP source of leveling. You just don't realize it because the quests give the grinding purpose and help make up for lost travel time/xp to do them.
3:37 in and this guys got no clue. mob grinding is an essential part of levelling. You didn't luck out by looting quest items after other players at all. Aaaaaaand point proven at 5:55
You must grind in between quests, when a quest tells you to go accross the zone and ur walking it tru, go kill all the mobs on the way to the destination.... that is the optimal way to play and you get a lot of drops and always those world drop chances.
It was done with a hunter and to 60. Hunters don't get pet till 10. invalid attempt. however " my hands were sweaty, my knees were weak, my arms heavy and vomit on my sweater already " got the like outta me. Good Video
You've really upped the production quality of your videos as of lately (not saying it was bad before, just thrilled to see progress in the right direction), keep it coming man, love your content!
And btw, most of the experience in Classic WoW comes from grinding mobs, not from turning in quests. :) So it makes total sense that you leveled faster when you needed to clear out mobs at quest locations! :P
Ive heard a couple times that this guide is geared towards hunters and while Ive used it on a Rogue and Lock I would sort of agree with that statement. Hunters are just so op at leveling.
Don't believe him? Your loss. Just got my 2nd character to 60 and have a level 51 too. Joana's guide is amazing. Ive been doing dungeons and getting BiS's along the way, not following guide completely and was still getting to 60 in
The guide doesn't exists as an addon? I want map beacons to show the exact path to move, i want each quest area to be highlighted i numerical order! I shouldn't have to alt tab all the time or look at another monitor!
So, I've been playing my first character in Classic the way I wanted too, not worrying about efficiency, I avoided getting any addons that tracked xp per hour etc etc. Now that I'm close to 60, Imma wrap this char up and level an alt. I want to do it quick and easy, not messing around like my first char. What alternatives are there and which ones are better?
It went like this: someone buys it, gives it to his friend and from that point everyone had that guide for free :'D Big thanks to brothers who chiped in money for others
Dude... I don't care that you advertise this product. At the end of the day you work for living and you need to get paid. But understand that there are some really good people at looking on every detail. First you said you are not a speed leveler and you love to enjoy the game casually. After few minutes you said you already bought the guide and used it loads of times. Learn how to lie :) Did your arms got sweaty? That's right... I love Eminem too and after 18 years I still remember every word of Loose Yourself! Am I the only one that noticed this part in the video? :) He used Eminem's text from Loose Yourself xD By the way... Good job with the video! :)
Darryl Buttriss true but so does Joana's. If your going to pay a subscription why not go with the tried and tried original. I mean the dude was first. Zygor had guides long before Joana and I just never hear anyone talk about or even mention Zygor. It's just weird.
I'm gonna use Jame's Leveling Guide (which starts at level 30). First because it's free and second I like going my own way in the first few levels anyway lol.
Just gonna say the two addons Azeroth Autopilot or Wow pro guide seem a lot better than this guide you used Nixx. They’re integrated with the add on Tom Tom so you have an arrow showing where to go. Most of all they’re free! Would recommend to everyone WoW pro guide add on, you can pick the zone and it comes up in game with a tabled guide.
I would have loved to buy Joana guide for Classic, as I did for Vanilla and TBC a decade ago. But today Joana is charging 37$ plus an extra 10$ for VAT for us non-US customers. That is BS: US exports to EU are VAT-free. That's why you have "Duty-free" shops in Int'l airports in the US. Once Joanna's fix this, I'll buy the guide (again).
I dont think him lvling 2 characters of the same race is very smart because the 2nd one he lvls is going to be easier because he will know were the quests are then giving it clear advantage
Love how people are talking about him "Selling out" he makes a living off of videos let the man do his job. If you do not like it do not buy it, simple as that. He is not forcing anything onto you. He has provided alot of FREE content over the years and yet people cry "SELLOUT" just cause it is paid promotion.
Immediately, I can tell Nix is going to be slower in the first run, because he missed out on the grinding XP when those areas were cleared already. The grind is a big part of leveling in classic.
@@naquan59 what was the mage only way? The AOE Blizz spamming? I wasn't aware of the details tho, just heard he blew the guide out of the water somehow.
3:22 I'm listening while I'm working. I almost died laughing when you played that song from ["Southpark - Make Love not Warcraft." (Live to win - Paul Stanley)]
I have this feeling that Zygor is about the same thing, and it is a built in addon. So if I am going to pay for something, I'd rather not have to use another window as well.
I mean, I get that going to 60 is maybe too high but maybe you could have compaired with a friend that isn't using a guide? because lvl 10 has much less nuance when it comes to leveling paths
If you could make money off of it, out of all your hours of work, you would do it too. In a heartbeat. Everyone would, so don't blame the guy like you're the Angel of Finance.
Wow! This really works! I used to level slow and it was taking a toll on me, But now thanks to Joana's World Record Classic WoW Leveling Guide i am levelling much faster and i can finally join my friends at the high levels, Thaanks Nixxiom.
Sorry for the slower video uploads lately, guys. But, well, I've kinda been playing a lot of Classic, as you can imagine. LOL!

i used that guide back in the day and let me tell you that you CANNOT get a proper assement with just level 1-10, the guide gets REALLY good around lvls 25-50 because it is a great way to figure out what to do where to go what to kill, and even tells you if your under a certain level to grind mobs to get to the level required and also tells you to NOT hand in certain quests at that time for better XP over all progress.

37 dollars to have someone else tell you how to play the game. Nah
Thats why he only did the first 10 levels, they were 4free!
Ir was pretty obvious that he took the free ride of the guide.
He’s just making promo to johana’s guide for “some reason” wink wink 😉
Silversurfer It was free years before, Joana made it payed last minute right before classic. Seems like a cash grab to me. Lol.
Right, like whats the point. I keep telling people who use such guides to go play Retail. If the journey doesn't matter to ya why are ya playing.

Fun fact paul(joana) has set the World record for multiple castlevania games as well.
Isn't this a bit of a bad comparison because you'll have prior knowledge of where/what to do for the 2nd run compared to the first?
Just gonna say the two addons Azeroth Autopilot or Wow pro guide seem a lot better than this guide you used Nixx. They’re integrated with the add on Tom Tom so you have an arrow showing where to go. Most of all they’re free!
Would recommend to everyone WoW pro guide add on, you can pick the zone and it comes up in game with a tabled guide.
Joana's has been a paragon for leveling prowess Nixxiom =)
Hello my viking brother. Glad to see you again
bro my speedrun from 1 - 10 in Elwynn is like 3.4 hours and you got from 1 - 10 in 2h53m? damn
3:46 "And here is where the true Arthas of this Arthas was gonna come Arthas"
this is gold
Considering that Grinding mobs in classic wow gives you the best experience, Having areas cleared out for you was unlucky, not lucky!
yeah! ima do a leveling test........with paladin
Eric Perbos-Brinck just use Azeroth Auto Pilot and Questie.
if they made the website into an ad don, i think it would be easier to use. otherwise you need a second screen
Which guide is better Zygor's or Joana's?
I dont think him lvling 2 characters of the same race is very smart because the 2nd one he lvls is going to be easier because he will know were the quests are then giving it clear advantage
I love how you included the song from the Southpark WoW episode
Moocluck's voice just made this better
Love how people are talking about him "Selling out" he makes a living off of videos let the man do his job. If you do not like it do not buy it, simple as that. He is not forcing anything onto you. He has provided alot of FREE content over the years and yet people cry "SELLOUT" just cause it is paid promotion.
I was not paid to make this video.
@@NixxiomOnRUclips My bad then! Still stand by my point though. Love your work keep it up!
are there any other online guide's like joana's but free ?
Joana, zygor, wowclassiclive or azeroth autopilot classic?
Immediately, I can tell Nix is going to be slower in the first run, because he missed out on the grinding XP when those areas were cleared already. The grind is a big part of leveling in classic.
But didn't Jokerd kill it with a record of 4 days played?
Jokerd did it using method ONLY a mage can. Andlaying which got nerf and won't even around for long.
@@naquan59 what was the mage only way? The AOE Blizz spamming?
I wasn't aware of the details tho, just heard he blew the guide out of the water somehow.
Nixxiom. I seriously appreciate you man. You're awesome
Whats better, Zygor's or Joanna's?
Wow. I listened to "live to win" for the last 4 days and now you playing it here.
What server are you playing on and do you have a guild???
3:22 I'm listening while I'm working. I almost died laughing when you played that song from ["Southpark - Make Love not Warcraft." (Live to win - Paul Stanley)]
I have this feeling that Zygor is about the same thing, and it is a built in addon. So if I am going to pay for something, I'd rather not have to use another window as well.
wait... you bought the guide, that is free up to level 12, to hit level 10
So, Nixxiom, will the level 58 Death Knight now become the level 8 Warrior or the level 8 Paladin?
Would have loved a comparison with you using questie as well
I mean, I get that going to 60 is maybe too high but maybe you could have compaired with a friend that isn't using a guide? because lvl 10 has much less nuance when it comes to leveling paths
Load of pish.... used to be free only changed to costing because classic came out... trying to join on that milk train
