From 37 to 40 I grinded kodos from kodo graveyard in desolace , 1 because graveyard is next to it, so if alli kills you, you can return to your corpse within seconds, 2 all kodos are neutral, 3 if you have your cooking up and make heavy kodo stew, it sales well on the ah , and 4, just above the hill where the quest givers are, you can sale stuff.

So here are my results after attempting this last night:
1 hour 14 minutes to level 6, 3 hours 51 minutes to level 9, 5 hours 28 minutes to level 10. I did stop and take a shower without logging out, so can subtract about 20 minutes from total time.
Skinning is at 100, mining is at 30, first aid is at 13. Note: killing beasts only yields no cloth so its hard to level first aid.
Also there is no reputation gain in this grind which is important to some people.
If you stick to killing the hounds to the right and above Brill you won't find any copper nodes. The node path in Tirisfal runs around the outside, near the mountain range. So this is what I did: when I hit level 8 I began to follow the copper node path in a counterclockwise pattern, killing everything I ran into (avoiding bats). Killed some humanoids and got some cloth and some nice weapons to vendor. Was able to level mining to 30 when it turned yellow. I also killed a random zombie which dropped a quest note. I turned that in for another 280 exp!
I also have way more silver than any new toon I've leveled, enough for any talent upgrades and minor repairs. I vendor everything but I held on to the stringy wolf meat to level cooking. I may also begin to hold on to the ore and put that in the auction house.
    I will update again soon.

This video really helped out. I had a level 15 undead rogue. For some reason, I was grinding by the docks near Fenwick Thatros across from Fenris Isle. The enemies there have too much armor and were about one level above me. I changed tactics and started killing bears and Dalaran mages a couple of levels below me and got to level 17 after 90 minutes. Plus, I (obviously) earned a bunch of much-needed cloth and some low-level goodies, too. Thanks!

3:30- It will help to level faster if you do kill the great dusk bats " NOT THE VAMPS" throw to pull them to you, don't run up and hit them, I found they are less likely to knock you down/stun you if you throw to pull them. And funny level 6 "for me" do stun/knockdown more often than the level 7 ones. out of maybe 15 kills, I might get knockdown. And they can be skinned, plus they can drop bat wing meat that gives a 15 min stam/spirit buff. every bit helps lol. buy the recipe for the bat meat at the vendor outside the inn, in front of the wagon

Dang. Well, still skinnable I suppose. In vanilla they were 100% according to my autistic data gathering I did before thottbot. Once I pull ahead I'm going to attempt your route if I can stomach questing. In the video it was 2 days 13 hours 38 minutes though I know it could go faster if I had more focus / less IRL distractions. Some of the beginning things you farm you might just sale to vendor. But use auction add-ons and you will know how much they sale on AH. AH is almost always the better option. Also make sure to buy 8 slot bags. They should be about 6-8s each. You should easily be able to get a set.

So, I practiced this to level 14 on an Undead Warlock.
I couldn't find many Copper Veins, so I was behind on mining.
It was enjoyable, but it took me 9 hours to get there? I
I've previously speed leveled an Orc Hunter and got to level 20 in about 10 hours questing.

    • @SwoleBenji

Shouldn't take that long at all. You might not find as much copper in the starting areas now that more people know about it, but Silverpine is the place to catch up on mining. If you're looking for just pure speed then questing is the way. Also note that pserver times will always take longer than classic as the mobs are tougher.

So that's a little over one hour to gain 3 levels and this is not counting the time you have to spend walking from one mob to another and the time you spent looting, skinning, selling stuff and eating food if you have to. That's alot of work but hey if it yields that money why not?

Okay so... for anyone following this guide, I have suggestions. I followed this to a T and here are my comments:
    - Pretty damn accurate overall, spectacular!
    - A few issues, namely that towards the end things are a bit inconsistent. The Hyena packs do indeed have very low health, as intimidating as it may be to approach a pack of them, they have normal drop rates and are easy to kill. The problem is not killing them.. it's FINDING them. I don't agree with this guide in that "the more north you go the higher level the mobs". Not true in my experience. Almost the opposite in fact, which makes more sense, since feralas is south (level 40+ zone) and Stonetalon is North (level 20 zone). If you can find the packs of hyenas and basilisks, awesome. If not, then you're left with buzzards and wind elementals, which aren't really that bad. Overall this whole zone doesn't seem to be contested.
    - The Gelkis clan is way more farmed than the Magmar, simply because they're easier to get to. Opposite of what this guide suggests.
    - I found that the basilisks in the south of Shimmer Flats was significantly better than farming the harpies, that area is constantly farmed because of the quest "Test of Endurance".
    - Hyenas have high armor so for anyone that does physical damage, they aren't really THAT great- though they're still better than anything else I found.
    - The mobs in Hillsbrad are a nightmare to farm- they are ranged and respawn sporadically because there is a popular quest there and more people = increased random spawn rate, due to classic WoW mechanics. I suggest avoiding that area entirely.
Hope this helps. Overall a wonderful guide. I made it well over 100g. Basilisks are the best grey loot next to Hyenas.
