Playing in Feb 2022. Alliance combat swords Rogue. I would avoid Duskwood all together. I found it much easier as a Leatherworker/skinner to grind and skin raptors and crocs in wetlands until high enough to kill dragonmaw for cloth. By this time u should have lvled past the use of what leather u get from beasts and cloth will be used for bandages when moving to STV. Rogues are OP enough to easily kill single target up to 3 lvls higher. Therefore at lvl 28 move to STV and grind young tigers mostly till 30 then pick up quest chains for all beasts but continue to grind tigers. do keep cooking and first aid as high as possible. Make sure you get recipe and can cook jungle stew. Made with tiger meat it will yield big profits from vendor. Costs 1.5s to make per stack of 20 and vendors for 60s. I easily made 4-6 gold from this and vendor trash per lvl. At time of post game is dying off and AH is not a viable source of steady income on low pop servers.
for anyone still looking for this vid. i highly reccomend killing elder crag coyotes southwest in badlands from 36-42. Great xp and and skinning. and hour there with skinning can get you around 5-10g/hr in just greys alone. hope this helps! also the rock elementals just southeast of the coyotes are a good spot as well! elemental earth goes for around 2-4g each on my server and will go up even more when aq40 comes out!
Grinding the crimson welplings and other whelpings in wetlands is many times better than the grinding you did in duskwood. They have next to no experience for armor they populate like crazy and nobody knows about them so there's no competition and they drop ridiculous amounts of mats used in endgame content very valuable as well as a percent chance to drop a vanity pet you can sell for 50 gold pretty much guaranteed.
Eh, it doesn't have to be a consecutive week. I'm grind leveling on an alt and put in a handful of hours here and there. The /played is lower than my main was at that level, sure, but I don't play the toon as often so it won't level nearly as fast in real world time.
I've had so much travel time and unsure of where to go moments in hardcore and this is a great guide to fill those gaps. I will still do larger quest hubs for variety but this is wicked as a place to get some levels safely.
Id recomend farming black widow spiders just west of the cemetery in duskwood until 26. Large venom sacs and spider silk sell for pretty good prices. Currently 5g for 5 sacs and a bit over a gold for 10 silk
I'm using this guide to level on Skeram. Dinged 21 in 25 hours/played. So far I've banked 5 gold as well just due to vendoring. Not bad so far. There's some guaranteed rare encounters in the first 20 levels which help making gold.
@@scotttocs Keep in mind that Skeram is a special circumstance at the time of writing this comment. Skeram was a 1 percent Alliance server which means there were no buyers on the AH to purchase my green drops and other Trade materials to. It ALL had to be vendored.

Have you seen that time lapsed video of the guy grinding from 1-60 on a Druid? Something like that even would be cool with your method would even be cool. But that’s asking for a lot honestly 😂
Levels without gear works against you, which is the problem with rush leveling... you need to supplement the grind with dungeons, more gold making (to buy gear from the AH) or more of the quests that you are skipping, depending on your class. Also you NEED to do you class quests that give you class related abilities, which was ignored in all of this.

Yea, Raven Hill is a no go on ANY populated server, maybe after all the spergs leave but even then I still doubt it. The loot is good, and the XP is good IF your alone, if not, there should be a backup where the mobs aren't used for a quest.
Raven hill is such a big place and the respawns are so quick on classic right now that if you switch layers you can farm on Raven hill fine. I farmed Raven hill for hours and yeah I saw a ton of other players but I kept to myself and was good.

Is this routine really efficient tho? I'm kinda new to wow so just asking, killing level 6 and 7 wendigos to hit level 12 seems a little deranged, and it gets worse with the lvl 16 crabs to hit lvl 24. It kinda reminds me of classic ragnarok online leveling.

So here goes my testimony. I been following this guide step by step, in 2 days and 14 hours of gaming I reached lvl 20 with my dwarf Warrior, I consider that with another class, lets say a mage, the levelling could way quicker, specially in the crab farming from lvl 17 to 24. Anyways, this guide is awesome, I’m a new Classic player and thanks to this guide I have a decent amount of gold.
as a warlock it takes 29-30lvl around 2-3 hrs added all the people and mana/health problems, doesn't seem suitable for locks, but you did great work doing that guide!
I aimed to make this grind as friendly for all classes as possible, but once I'm done my Gold farming videos the plan is to make specific guides for each Class one by one if I get the time! The majority of classes have their own advantages and disadvantages which give you alternative spots to grind for sure!

I have just looked at the title again and realise this is Classic! I'm just playing World Of Warcraft, so I'd imagine classic is harder to level? Kinda ike OSRS vs RS3.
@@Ivarr___ Ohhh yes. Classic is insanely different. You can max out a character in what you're playing (Dubbed Retail) in a few days just by questing but questing in Classic isn't as simple, especially on Alliance side.
the Ogres in Arathi Highlands are a horrible spot to try and Grind. The Horde have a quest there so If you are on a PvP server as Alliance I wouldn't even bother. I have tried for days now at all times of day including early morning 6am and always Horde Groups show up. Is there a Better More out of the way place? Usually grinding quest mobs are frowned upon, and its definitely a bad idea for opposing faction Quest mobs when your faction is outnumbered 10 to 1 like Alliance on Faerlina is according to esfand/asmon
The Ogres in Arathi give a huge return on xp, but I understand the concerns. Tune in as shortly I'll be releasing a Gold Grinding guide that also touches upon that level range.

idk.. these wendigos are an easy skip if you're doing them just for a quest on launch. they do have a decent spawn but not HYPER spawn and there will be people doing these for qeusts and grinding
Overall good guide but if you are a warrior, you should skip the Skeletal Horror 26-29 part. Since they are immune to bleeding and deep wounds, it will take you way longer to grind xp here than if you were to grind anywhere else or just start doing quests.
Yep, this is a fantastic tip and I'll even mention it in my follow-up video :) I expect that to be out very shortly already finished recording just in the middle of editing. A fun thing to do on the side is to keep your BOEs for leveling future alts too, but some people prefer selling them for Gold for their mounts.
OK I am confused, how can you recommend ghouls when it's the worst mob possible. It has high hp and armor and it puts a curse on you which decreases casting and attack times. Baffling.
Great guide general. The crabs in westfall were nice, also the raven hill part but boi the 29 to 33 part at Fetid Corpses is hella annoying with their 33% time increased between attacks...
I have been grinding the Nightbane Worgen in the Rotting Orchard. I am on Faerlina and there is a queue in the evening. So I play early morning now, like 4am to 9am when I go to work. There is no one there from 4 to 8:30, they die easy and you can skin them. Started Here at 31 but the mobs are 29-31.
Yeah I hated the 29-33 but luckily I’m a priest and have Cure Disease to get rid of the buff but it was still annoying having to do that after almost every mob.
It's horrible for spellcasters too, it slows spell casting. That part of the guide was totally off the mark IMO, at least it was for my mage. I did worgens instead.
It is faster than aspect of cheetah, I believe cheetah maxes out at 38% or 36% with talents and if you don't spec a bit into bm you can't even do that.

Hello, very nice guide. I have a question . My mining I was just slacking and now is low level, is it worth go back at lvl 40 and pick it up ? Another thing you sell all leather at vendor or AH? Tnx for your time
Mining and Skinning I wouldn't recommend going back unless you plan on doing leatherworking, engineering or mining. Normally you would sell your leather in the AH but the leather in the AH in my server is going for less than vendor for some reason. Check your AH and determine if it's more valuable to vendor, in my case it is right now. If you've already gotten so high that mining is going to be hard to level, level up enchanting or tailoring instead. Enchanting is an extremely easy skill to level up quickly even at a higher level and tailoring the same thing. You may not run into linen and wool as much as you used to but you'll still run into it MUCH more than you'll run into copper ore etc.
Also chances are you're going to create a second character at some point. The reason I don't recommend jumping back into mining is you can do it with a new alt.

What about getting gear as you go? A lot of grinding guides I've watched don't cover this. Do you just buy it between going from zone to zone. If so, where do you buy it?
One of 3 options 1. Trade with Guild Members when you get BOE greens and blues from drops 2. Go do a few dungeons every few hours if you're bored and wanna do something fun. Between level 30 and 40 it's not uncommon to run SM a few times for gear. 3. Buy it on the auction house. Shit is expensive af. You can also do the odd quest if you feel like it. Grinding is about speed and efficiency and technically your gear isn't important if you follow this guide. But if you want gear there are plenty of options.
It would be very nice if you had some math telling the XP hour in each place you showed. I am not complaining about your job. I really like it but I think it has space to improvements. Thank you thou!
I did the Boulder'Gor grind for a couple of levels as a single target Frost Mage (these guys are too spread out for efficient AOE'ing) and was getting about 14k XP per hour, 85 silver per hour in money drops, a whole lotta silk cloth, and a decent number of green items. I tend to farm these guys late at night when there's no competition, and they're easy to kill for a Frosty.
Of course it does, the only thing that might ever change with these leveling guides is the value of items. Other than gold, nothing else in these guides will ever be irrelevant in classic :)
@@whiskeygolfer With the gold you'll make passively you should be able to buy BOEs on the AH every 10 levels or so, but as a warrior you should drop into dungeons once in a while when you're bored of grinding just to gear up.
I don't see why not, but to be honest I would probably hit up Wailing Caverns before I hit up Deadmines with a Druid if your intention is getting gear. If you're going to farm for XP as long as you have a team dedicated then sure, Deadmines can be a fun ride.
I grind a dungeon for 1 level every 10 levels if I feel like I need new gear. Or I buy as much BOE gear as I can afford. For the purposes of this video the gear was equipped more to exaggerate the level range and less to show what you'll probably have playing the way I show.
I'll consider making this one next, I just haven't leveled up many horde characters unfortunately. I did recently post a gold farming guide that would apply to both factions after level 35 though!
If you're fighting them with a ranged character it doesn't matter. If you're fighting them 1 on 1 with a melee character, I found with my warrior it didn't matter and I'd still down them quick enough. They have low HP and give a great XP rate. Rogue I had a similar experience. I'm not sure how Paladins, Shamans or Druids fair against them to be honest, but considering I had success with 2 ranged and 2 melee classes I don't think anyone will have problems getting a decent XP rate off these guys :)
For info: I grinded 1.5 lvls on a pala and had no issues. Dps is good as we have exorcism (undead) and purify (low mana cost) to remove debuff. Was getting through approx 5 mobs (give or take) before stopping for mana.

It depends on the class. Get the XP Tracker addon and you will see how long you need to level up.
A warrior compared to a priest will take longer.
Man I wish there was more content on this. Like I haven’t found anything on TBC, still enjoy what we have today on this method.

Overall good guide but if you are a warrior, you should skip the Skeletal Horror 26-29 part. Since they are immune to bleeding and deep wounds, it will take you way longer to grind xp here than if you were to grind anywhere else or just start doing quests.
Really quick leveling. Especially quick clicking on Iron ore
Don't forget to make a bank alt, bank alts are absolutely essential for efficient leveling.
Yep, this is a fantastic tip and I'll even mention it in my follow-up video :) I expect that to be out very shortly already finished recording just in the middle of editing.
A fun thing to do on the side is to keep your BOEs for leveling future alts too, but some people prefer selling them for Gold for their mounts.

OK I am confused, how can you recommend ghouls when it's the worst mob possible. It has high hp and armor and it puts a curse on you which decreases casting and attack times. Baffling.

During you level you forgot to tell us that you spam sm to get this those scarlet gear.
That's class dependant though. Of course of a warrior you tank arm and Cath for gear, rogues get defias from DM etc

Great guide general. The crabs in westfall were nice, also the raven hill part but boi the 29 to 33 part at Fetid Corpses is hella annoying with their 33% time increased between attacks...
I know but loot and XP is super good if you can overcome the debuff.
I have been grinding the Nightbane Worgen in the Rotting Orchard. I am on Faerlina and there is a queue in the evening. So I play early morning now, like 4am to 9am when I go to work. There is no one there from 4 to 8:30, they die easy and you can skin them. Started Here at 31 but the mobs are 29-31.
Yeah I hated the 29-33 but luckily I’m a priest and have Cure Disease to get rid of the buff but it was still annoying having to do that after almost every mob.
Came back to this and recommitted
how do you get gear following these methods In the lower levels of you are primarily grinding?
Buy BOEs if it's an ALT, you'll get drops either way though. You could also pay a higher level character to run you through a dungeon for example too.

The melee debuff you get at Manor Mismantle is brutal though....
It's horrible for spellcasters too, it slows spell casting. That part of the guide was totally off the mark IMO, at least it was for my mage. I did worgens instead.
What about weapon upgrades doing this? Do you go to AH or do specific quests or dungeons?

It is faster than aspect of cheetah, I believe cheetah maxes out at 38% or 36% with talents and if you don't spec a bit into bm you can't even do that.

Hello, very nice guide. I have a question . My mining I was just slacking and now is low level, is it worth go back at lvl 40 and pick it up ? Another thing you sell all leather at vendor or AH? Tnx for your time
Mining and Skinning I wouldn't recommend going back unless you plan on doing leatherworking, engineering or mining. Normally you would sell your leather in the AH but the leather in the AH in my server is going for less than vendor for some reason. Check your AH and determine if it's more valuable to vendor, in my case it is right now.
If you've already gotten so high that mining is going to be hard to level, level up enchanting or tailoring instead. Enchanting is an extremely easy skill to level up quickly even at a higher level and tailoring the same thing.
You may not run into linen and wool as much as you used to but you'll still run into it MUCH more than you'll run into copper ore etc.
Also chances are you're going to create a second character at some point.
The reason I don't recommend jumping back into mining is you can do it with a new alt.
@@Bryan7474 Alright, really thanks. Im trying your method. Currently at almost 37, farming the raptors, but to many people on my server doing that. Especially mages. being a rogue I can't compete...perhaps gona have to be going back to quests... sadly
@@karlittos Just do Scarlet Monastary with some groups. I know it's a long run but at least they're fun dungeons and you can get some okay loot as a rogue.

But I was doing your guide because of the gold...to have at least 42 money for mount + riding skill. But I will probably go back there if no people farming
The fact that you didn't even have Battle Shout active speaks against the addon. You strictly follow the addon and forget to play your class and to use your skills
I'll be honest, it's just a guide for leveling spots. I was awful with warrior at the time, now I'd call myself pretty good with one.
What about getting gear as you go? A lot of grinding guides I've watched don't cover this. Do you just buy it between going from zone to zone. If so, where do you buy it?
One of 3 options
1. Trade with Guild Members when you get BOE greens and blues from drops
2. Go do a few dungeons every few hours if you're bored and wanna do something fun. Between level 30 and 40 it's not uncommon to run SM a few times for gear.
3. Buy it on the auction house. Shit is expensive af.
You can also do the odd quest if you feel like it. Grinding is about speed and efficiency and technically your gear isn't important if you follow this guide. But if you want gear there are plenty of options.

I usually vendor myself but use the AH if it's being good and reliable on your server for whatever items are dropping.

I did the Boulder'Gor grind for a couple of levels as a single target Frost Mage (these guys are too spread out for efficient AOE'ing) and was getting about 14k XP per hour, 85 silver per hour in money drops, a whole lotta silk cloth, and a decent number of green items. I tend to farm these guys late at night when there's no competition, and they're easy to kill for a Frosty.

Of course it does, the only thing that might ever change with these leveling guides is the value of items. Other than gold, nothing else in these guides will ever be irrelevant in classic :)

@@whiskeygolfer With the gold you'll make passively you should be able to buy BOEs on the AH every 10 levels or so, but as a warrior you should drop into dungeons once in a while when you're bored of grinding just to gear up.
Would it be worth it to grind them to 17 and then just run Deadmines if you are say, a feral druid tank?
I don't see why not, but to be honest I would probably hit up Wailing Caverns before I hit up Deadmines with a Druid if your intention is getting gear.
If you're going to farm for XP as long as you have a team dedicated then sure, Deadmines can be a fun ride.

Sort of. Some of the mobs are kind of limited.
Did you run dungeons for gear ever? Looks like you got some SM gear.
Certain classes will HAVE to go run for gear at some point and the Warrior is definitely one of those classes.

How do you get Gear doing the Grind? Do you have to go do some Dungeons? I mean, you clearly went to SM?
I grind a dungeon for 1 level every 10 levels if I feel like I need new gear. Or I buy as much BOE gear as I can afford.
For the purposes of this video the gear was equipped more to exaggerate the level range and less to show what you'll probably have playing the way I show.

It feels long as heck, just level whatever professions you got when you're in there to pass the time and!

Killing level 17-18 crabs until 24 is taking way too long. Is there any other mobs you can think of grinding in between this and the next area?
Those are the quickest and most valuable I could think of, but the Defias in Dagger Hills are also a good lot to farm if the spot isn't taken.

How did you keep your gear relevant with your level?
Have lots of gold or spend lots of extra time in dungeons.
Or pay a level 60 to get you the items (solo run dungeons)
why you choose to grind this lvl 30 ghouls from 29 to 33 if they slow your attacks by 30% ?
If you're fighting them with a ranged character it doesn't matter.
If you're fighting them 1 on 1 with a melee character, I found with my warrior it didn't matter and I'd still down them quick enough. They have low HP and give a great XP rate. Rogue I had a similar experience.
I'm not sure how Paladins, Shamans or Druids fair against them to be honest, but considering I had success with 2 ranged and 2 melee classes I don't think anyone will have problems getting a decent XP rate off these guys :)
For info:
I grinded 1.5 lvls on a pala and had no issues.
Dps is good as we have exorcism (undead) and purify (low mana cost) to remove debuff.
Was getting through approx 5 mobs (give or take) before stopping for mana.
Should point out it was an avg of 2.5 hours per level from lvl 31 to grind them based on xp tracker

I believe XP is adjusted so this would go quicker than I said in the video :) but yes the spots for the levels would still work great.

No, you can become level 40 in less than 7 RL days if you're dedicated enough.
