Nice plane, I printed mine from pla+, it flies good, launched from bungee as it seems awfly heavy. So you used the pre-foamed pla, I have used that and the active foaming both on different planes...
in the process of finishing the prints for this one! planning using 3s, or maybe 4s if needed for the motor. printed in Esun PLA+. maybe a 2216 1200kv if it is nose heavy. if not nose heavy just some 2207 quad motor. if have some F80 doing nothing, 2500 kv (maybe a bit much?) but unsure about prop size using that size/kv motor. cheap 9gr servo's and a speedybee Wing FC.
Great video on your build. I like the design of the plane, so I made 3D printed one also. since the aircraft has a long noise, where did you measure for the CG on yours? my build seems to be noise heavy.
Theres a little protruding tab on the bottom of one of the wing pieces where the CG needs to be. That’s odd that you got it to be nose heavy, usually it’s the opposite problem with these forward swept wings. What battery are you trying to use and what material did you print the plane from? I mostly fly mine with a 220g battery and that sits right in the center of the battery bay
@@gabejanssen4826 Yes, I located the bump markings on the underside of the wing. That made a huge difference with the balance on the CG now. I printed the plane out of LW PLA, and the battery I will be using will be a 2200mah @ 222Grams. Thank you so much for the reply with the help I needed to get this bird in the air. God Bless.
Really impressive design, was it your idea with the pan Servo or is that already included in the plan? I would also like to have a pan Servo for the camera Additionally, which servos did you use? I have a bunch of MG90S and SG90 Servos from other projects, would they be strong enough/fit into the design? Great Video, good flight performance 👍
The pan servo mount is my own design: cults3d.com/en/3d-model/gadget/rifter-2-custom-nose-for-pan-servo-m3-screws-and-tank-solo-mount I used emax es08md II servos for the elevons and a generic 270 degree servo for the pan. I personally would not trust those SG90's for the control surfaces however if you can modify one to increase the range it would work great as a pan servo. The MG90s should work fine and they have very similar dimensions to the servos I used.

super sympa avec le pan/tilt. quel est le poids de votre rifter? la mienne est un peu lourde. Et quel est votre motorisation (moteur esc lipo) svp?

@@gabejanssen4826 I appreciate your fast response 👍
Yeah I'll definitely use the MG90S for this project, the metal gears really make a difference.
