Heya GBall, the Ruckus was never designed as a front flipper. That extension is the part of the tang that interact with the stop pin. That is part of the Tactical Knife Design methodology. If you look at Emersons, which follow that method, they have the same. If you want a properly designed front flipper by me, look to the Momentum.
That makes total sense now, the cool thing is with enough experience and practice you can actually front flip it it. I didn't feel right talking about the ruckus because I love it, I've bought 2 of them 😂 that makes me feel better and worse at the same time. Did you catch the recent momentum video
Aids aids. All front and top flippers are very similar but some are on a beginner level and some are more on an expert level, is the best way I can put it

Very polarizing. But I9ve front flipoers. All emp edc, kansept bulldozer, griffin scout, cjrb maileahs and swags rosecraft version, tuya wrath. Love em
I like front flippers I find they very elegant (if done properly). They don't break the lines of a knife, like rear flippers, when they are close and disappear when it's open. A good one is the kizer Klipper, I can stop fidget with, it's a subtle front flipper but very effective.
Today I carried Trivisa Corvus - what an absolute underrated BANGER of a knife! You gotta try it, GBall. My fav front flipper is also made by Trivisa - the Hydra. with a long, chikiri-inspired lever-like flipper.
I have the corvus it's the last one I got from them. Video is coming soon. I have some recent vids on Trivisa knives. All of which have been awesome 👍🏻 they're having a sale right now too on Amazon
Bestech Ivy was my first, reluctant, front-flipper. I didn't know just how much I was going to love it! If something is done right, it's great. Cheers. 👐
My Civivi Clavi is a good front flipper, but my Sitivien ST-999 is a dog as far as the front flipper is concerned. Also the blade edge can be contacted when it's folded, near the pivot. I'm working on correcting the issues in my shop.
Just recently started enjoying my front flippers. You did nail it with this video bro! Wow, you would be awesome to talk to in person! Your vids are always what I think a lot about.
Not enough time in a day brother. I'm reworking it. I'll be doing one match a week or so until it's over. Then starting a new tournament with new knives. There's certain videos I need to do and certain videos I want to do, I may be going down to 4 days a week at work so I can record more but we'll see
I agree. Front flippers get hate. But I don't know why, cause they're a cool way to open a knife. Is like lighting a match, there's multiple cool ways to open it with a front flipper. You don't even need to use your fingers to open it. I also don't get how people have a hard time with a front flipper. I want the kizer militaw
Improper tuning is massive It’s what separates the Civivi’s from the Remette’s No hate on Remette, but they haven’t figured out how to make front flippers as easy as their normal flippers Too much weight needed
As for front flippers, there is "wall flippers" and "lobe flippers"......you showed all wall flippers. These are the easiest to master. "Lobe flipper" examples would be the Miguron Pagos or the Kizer Kobold 2 or Klipper. These are difficult for most to master. ANYBODY can front flip the Kizer Chile Pepper (Wall flipper) and the Momentum is pretty easy for beginners too. Stick to wall flippers when you start out. .

I love front flippers! The momentum is an awesome one to learn on and the sokoke is awesome as well! Great video Greg 👍🏾
Thanks brother I appreciate it man
GREGGGGGGGG...HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND KID...👊
Have a good weekend man
Some round front flippers work good as well. One example is the Sencut Bronte. Another is the Eutektik Trinity.
And the kubey leaf
Wouldn't that be a top flipper?

Thanks for the comment bro it really helps either way my man
Carrying a Kizer Justice
and a Buck Trio .
Great carry 🔥
I love opening regular flippers with a thumb, less awkward hand placement and very satisfying
I do that also 😂
The Artisan Sirius is one of my favorite going out carries. It looks terrific and is fun to flip.
Agreed 💯💯 an oldie but a goodie
Carrying a TPK exclusive button lock penguin jigged Ti and a ORJ jigged Ti wharncliffe today!!
Absolutely fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥
woooooooooooooo
I think it’s just a matter of preferance
That definitely comes in to play
Kansept Bulldozer for the front flipper.
Front flipper with a blade hole is my favorite edc knife deployment. Today I'm carrying a kizer Kobold 2 (4V) and Takumitak Fulcrum.
Great carry 🔥🔥🔥 I like that combo too
Very polarizing. But I9ve front flipoers. All emp edc, kansept bulldozer, griffin scout, cjrb maileahs and swags rosecraft version, tuya wrath. Love em
Agreed 💯💯 thanks brother I appreciate it man
Best front flipper hands down is the Militaw. Love the Kubey Doris through, very underrated.
I need a militaw
Every one of those are awesome blades
Thanks brother 🤜🏻💥
I have only one front flipper: the BELUGA. Good knife. Carrying the Kansept Hellx today.
Great carry brother 👏🏻🔥
Kubey Bluff in Ultem 🎉
Great carry 🔥
Today's carry: Cold Steel Recon 1 Tanto, Spyderco Manix 2 and Kizer Towser S.
Great carry 🔥🔥

The right front flipping action can definitely make or break a knife! These are some good examples of beautiful action. Thanks Gball!
Agreed brother 🙏🏻 thanks man

Agreed Dave 👍🏻👍🏻 thanks brother 🤜🏻

Thanks for the info brother noted on the sitivien too. 🤜🏻💥
Just recently started enjoying my front flippers. You did nail it with this video bro! Wow, you would be awesome to talk to in person! Your vids are always what I think a lot about.
Awesome man!! So glad you enjoy the videos. That makes my day
Any suggestions for a USA made front flipper??
Hmm that's tough, there isn't many of them that I can even think of ... The Shaman? 😂 That's a tough one Keith, the Harsey can be front flipped 😆
trevor burger urban edc lc is by far the best front flipper iv felt. not the cheapest but way less than his customs.
I do enjoy a good one
Hey Gball what happened to the match madness bracket? I really wanted to see which knife won.
Not enough time in a day brother. I'm reworking it. I'll be doing one match a week or so until it's over. Then starting a new tournament with new knives. The militaw looks really good 👍🏻 and I agree 💯 thanks brother
Dude none of these are front flippers only!!
I am kind of surprised you didn't mention the front flipping king Justin Lundquist!
The main idea was to just showcase good styles for people to start with brother
Yessir...we all gotta start somewhere.
I am so curious to see where we all end up. I'll be broke as shit but with a lot of knives haha.
Improper tuning is massive
It’s what separates the Civivi’s from the Remette’s
No hate on Remette, but they haven’t figured out how to make front flippers as easy as their normal flippers
Too much weight needed
Agreed 💯 tuning is a big chunk between the flipper design and tuning 🤜🏻💥

.
Interesting. As far as operating them, what’s the difference? I mean aren’t they actuated the same way?
Great info and way to put it.
David.
All of them have the same similar idea but some are very hard to learn on. Think of it as beginner to expert
