Love my smock, and surgery in general and I'm glad to hear we'll finally be seeing more designs be able to use the smock style button compression lock.

now thats a proper list my friend. absoutely ADORE my Conspirator and Serene. both immediately impressed me out of the boxes and they have only gotten smoother after breaking in

That sencut is absolutely fantastic like in the world of button locks if you slapped a protech sticker on there and upped the price 150 they would fly out the door. I own a ton of knives and thats still my favorite fidget by far. Great acoustics. Quick action but the weight of the blade is what really makes a button lock. too light and it kind of bounces all around. Too heavy and it slows it down but that goldylox zone sencut just hit it perfectly. Thanks for this list!

Nice to see you include the Dogfish. I feel like it didn't get anywhere near the attention it deserves. I absolutely love mine and has been my most carried since I got it a few months ago. The only thing they could have done better was give more access for the blade hole.

Wayne I am proud of the growth of your channel buddy I been with you since you were at 5k subs. I am huge gun nut but over the years I been getting into knives as a new hobby. I have learned a lot from you, Stassa and Metal Complex. I refuse to watch any videos from Nick Shabazz his voice makes my soul hurt and makes want to seek violence. Keep up the great work

I've been looking at a small Thunderbird in the blue and white handle. It just seems like a nice size with quality materials and action. I like the Hedgehog, but have a Kizer October with 20CV that was less $ and hard to justify a similar knife... but that blue handle too...

North Mountain Blade - Chop 2 in G10 SLD Magic blade steel for $80 👌
I’m excited for my Hedgehog to arrive in a couple days. Love my RSKAOS.
I like my Vosteed Valkyrie but I hate the sound of it. I don’t like the design of the Firebird.
I don’t really care for the design of the Kizer Dogfish either. Kizer Brat is great, but also doesn’t sound great.
I’ve got a Sencut ArcBlast (too small) and the Sache both are meh. I might pick up a Serene.
Don’t care for the looks of the Civivi Sentinal Strike. I can’t believe I don’t have the Conspirator though. Might still get one.
I know I’m probably alone in this but I hate Spyderco. I do want a Smock (but only because I wasn’t designed by Spyderco lol) - but it’s old and overpriced IMO especially with new scales and pocket clip.
Still want a Protech Malibu if I come across one at a normal price.
Was hoping to find something I haven’t seen before here, but good list nonetheless 👍 now I’ll go watch the KnifeCenter list 😅

I suppose on its own it’s not bad, but I’m not of fan of those CF scales (if they are even real CF - some say they are laminate). So $228 for the knife, $130 for some nice scales, $30 stubby Lynch clip and I’m at $388. I still do want one though.

First, presentation was absolutely on point, and 2) Going through a huge OD green phase and was trying to find a good compilation. I own a Malibu and the button lock will fail, guaranteed if you strike the back of the blade without much force. I was disappointed. Plus, the handle is soooo slippery.

No We Ziffius or Exciton!? The list did not say budget button lock flippers, so I’m confused. Ziff and Exciton top every knife on this list!

  • @DB.KOOPER

Flipper tabs that don't hide and effect ring finger placement RUIN knives (the Malibu is utterly useless because of this... absolutely RUINS that knife same with the Civivi Chevalier and Conspirator). All standard flipper tabs should be removed or made hadden when the blade is open. Plain and simple: front flippers are just better.

Honestly when chinese companies are puting in the work and trying to make good knives for decent price, while american company's are going Murica and charging a ton, makes semse why lists now are mostly chinese, with some Italy thrown in

I hear you. However, there has been a quantum shift in quality over the past 10 years that needs to be addressed. Every Civivi (for example) I've bought has perfect action and blade centering. This was hit or miss with USA knives 10 years ago and somewhat true today. The introduction of caged ball bearings has taken a lot of the guesswork out of making a knife feel "premium" as far as action. I've been out of the game for a few years and the quality jump is astounding. (Especially at the low end.) My long time EDC ZT 0452CF is everything I love in a large flipper. Now, the same feel can be had for a pittance. (Of course, made with lower grade materials.) Vexer, Praxis, Centinel Strike, all insanely good for $40-85.
