Hello! I’m a audiophile that stumbled across your review. I found myself watching the presentation because it was well done and very informative. Although my needs in a headphone are very different due to the more subtle musical nuances I just wanted to say kudos to a job well done. Cheers, Seán

I reckon if I have a coiled cord from a Shure SRH series I can use that on the Sennheiser DJ 25 (unless they use a proprietary jack on the hedphone side) ? Been Thinking of picking up the HD 25 since they dropped down from 7 variants to 3,and it's nice having some smaller headphones and they have a reasonable price. I Also been thinking on picking up the Pioneer XDJ X5 X7 or X10. I know this video is a bit old, will you do a updated video for 2019?
I got in on the first run of AIAIAI TMA-1s and the band snapped after about 8 months of heavy use. I replaced them with V-Modas and then got the beatport edition TMA-1s because that green color in the cable matches my glasses and my jordans. I've had those over a year and they're in perfect condition after about 40 hours of use a week since then.
Hey guys. Would appreciate someones thoughts on the HD 25 Light? Does it get the job done enough for live DJing? I'm primarily concerned with a balanced sound of bass and higher sounds when surrounded in loud environments. Thanks heaps guys
I love the Allen and Heath XONE! I think the sound quality is everything a DJ needs. it hugs to head comfortably and also isolates the sound from the speakers if they're close to you or super loud. very durable. the highs and lows the mids everything is perfect too me and other DJ friends that I've let use them. but everyone looks for something different in sound quality. some DJs life beats but I can't understand why you're good for a walk mens and mp3 players. they concentrate on heavy bass and I don't like that. I like to hear some highs and lows blended nicely together. but that's just me. good luck with whatever you use my turntable brothers and sisters :-)
What about the HD25 LIGHT??? does it have the same isolation and sound as the normal 25s???? i think i like the simpler design, and they almost half tha price
Thanks for flexing the hell out of those Aiaiai headphones. It puts some confidence behind me purchasing them, been unsure due to snapping reports, but clearly it looks like they've resolved that issue! Will definitely pick up a pair if they are as durable and flexible as what you've shown!
Headphones I use are the HD 25’s also a pair of HD 280 Pro, im not at all a DJ but I listen to a wide variety of music ranging from classical, DJ music and some of the heaviest metal you can imagine, both pairs of headphones I own are fantastic, I use the HD 25’s while on the go connected to a Fiio BTR7 Bluetooth DAC Amp and the sound for me is unlike anything I’ve experienced and isolation is great. When listening to music at home I tend to use the HD 280 pro headphones connected to a Fiio K7 Bluetooth DAC Amp and they also sound amazing, the hd 25’s have a better accuracy and as if I can hear more in the music, the HD 280 Pro’s have better bass extension and are a little bit warmer to my ears, both are amazing headphones and I wouldn’t be able to live without them
What's the difference between the HD25 and the HD280Pro's? Oh, and the HD26 i I I? I'm about to pick up 2 pairs and I'm considering the HD25's, and either the V-Moda M100's(maybe the Master's), or the, Pioneer X5BT. Oh, and the new JBL Club series look great!
Listening to this on my HD25s. One test I do is if I can hear the whispers 'off to never never land' in Metallica's One. You can hear them really well in the HD25s. Not as well as my Jamos speakers though. Why do I always feel the need to mention that I have Jamos speakers? Because they're awesome and look all Brady Bunch. What were we talking about?
Serás tú yo los tengo 10 años y lo único que he cambiado son las almohadillas que por cierto al final compré las de terciopelo originales y duran muchísimo más.
aiaiai tma 1, had these for about a year. head band snapped. the manufacturers didnt want know. shocking service. went back to urbanears zeinken, totally bomb proof and half the price. very similar look too
I've had a chance to use the HD25 and, i stress that this is a very personal opinion, they're a little bit too studio sounding to me, just a bit too flat. Headphones for me are a very personal thing and as far as i'm conserned the only ones i can really enjoy using in my sets are V-Moda, against this is a personal opinion.
Great review mate. Gotta question for you. What is the latest model of the hd 25? Consider buying them as my next pair and get a bit confused with the models. Thanks in advance.
A common mistake of djs is to buy hd25sp because his description say they are for djs besides being very similar and cheaper, but really have to be aware that talking is the HD25 1-II described as says packaging as studio reference headphones. always should clarify that because if you buy the sp you can be disappointed
Try the Urbanears Zinken! They are the absolute confidential tip at the moment in my opinion. A real surprise in terms of sound quality and price and also some nice ideas like the "turncable".
I like Zinken and maybe it could have been part of this roundup! It's a nice, moderately sturdy, very comfortable headphone with decent isolation. Sonically, it's more neutral than Aiaiais, but duller sounding than ANY of these. It won't turn any music into torture unlike Aiaiais sometimes do, but the midbass punch is missing (only salvaged by the sharp sub-bass emphasis) and they have a de-emphasis in the sibilance and the hi-hat, which means many DJs will be missing their important sonic cues. This makes it a decent relaxed listening headphone though, you can listen to it all day and the hearing won't be fatigued, especially if you de-emphasize sub-bass a bit. Another advantage is that vinyl distortion from heavy tracking won't bite quite as sharply. If many DJ headphones are too punchy for some, the HD25 is too neutral to others, Zinken is neither here nor there, it's neither punchy nor neutral, but at least it's polite about it. The cable is a piece of fragile garbage, but you can get replacements - in a pinch, you can just use any 3.5 to 6.3 cable. I break about one cable every month when i use the stock ones. The coating is also terrible, but given that it's an urban fashion brand, it's supposed to look worn from the onset. Finally, i'm not sure it measures up to these. Maybe if you consider Aiaiais overpriced, then Zinken is an alternative, but it's not the HD25 or Pioneer C70 league. If you chose a 100€ headphone, what are you gonna get? Zinken wins against a number of leading brands, HDJ-500 got nothing on it. Wanna spend 200€? I think you might end up running cheaper in the long run and better with C70, HD25 or DT1350.
Sascha Wesseler U can hear 100$+ difference in HD25s, but zinkens are good. I use them for a while as my first DJ headphones and i love them. Friend forgot his 25s at home and used my Zinkens at his gig and was quite surprised..
i see this zinken hype time to time but its not good man. i really dont understand how u like it. sound awful. not comfortable. for the price and hearing bass is to beatmatch is enough, yeah it can do it for u. try before u buy
Guys I need your help, due to the high recommendation to buy the HD-25s I need a fact-based, truly feedback. I'm a hobbie DJ and a music listener, I want the headphones not just for DJing but for all day use like flying, traveling, long time listening music at home, etc. Are they good for those purposes?
I've had hd25s for about 6 months now. N I'd honestly say yes 100xs over. Bought them for dj use, been using then for everything from riding my bicycle to taking on flights. They sound fantastic, their super light and portable, and they look decent enough to not feel like a knob rolling about town. The only thing I will say is that if your bringing them everywhere, your gonna destroy the stock cable. Had mine for six months and the right side of the cable is already going, and sennheiser doesnt cover mechanical damage in their warranty. Kind of annoying but you can pick up third party cables that supposedly last a good bit longer for less then 20 quid so it's kind of a non issue
@@whiteboysfavegoat hey there! Just wondering what the sound leak is like with the hd25? I'm looking into buying a pair soon for commute and casual listening :)

Thank u so much mate :) I ve done so, but i´m almost 100% it´s the cable. I let the cable extended 4 1 or 2 hours and now it works perfectly again. I´m gonna be really careful with these on the future.
You know why they tell you to "break it in", the Aiaiais? It's a trick! They have a very coloured sound, but it's not so bad that you wouldn't get used to it eventually, and then you'll hate everything else. They know most people will be eager to listen to the headphones as they're "breaking in" rather than just let them sit. So they basically trick you into adjusting your perception. The actual driver changes that happen within hours at low volume are very, very minor. The "air chamber" explanation is wrong. The volume between the driver and your eardrum defines the presence resonance (around 4 KHz), not the bass one. The bass resonance is defined almost exclusively by the returning force and electromagnetic properties of the driver and the volume behind the driver.
HD25 all the way. I've used a lot of headphones over the year but the HD25's are the best quality of sound, build, durability, all of that. just pay the 150$ you won't regret it. you buy the cheaper headphones for 99$ they break in a year.
nah, i replace the cable in mine after 4 or 5 years of daily use. And the reason was the jack broke. And i sitted in that jack and bend it like 2 years before it finally broke.
Nah B.....Daily use and still a big problem for many heavy rotation DJ's too....Dont BIG up a classic design problem from Sennheiser.....I've use and loved them since 92 (used Sennheiser's headphones since 81) Check ya compatition out b4 promoting a common weak design fault to the masses.I don't disagree they sound great for monitoring your sounds, but there's better out there if you dont wanna keep replacing parts(Leads and pads).YOU WERE LUCKY....Check out some blogs Re Sennheiser cables.(cable NOT the jack)

from a review i read a while back the HD7/8 don't cut it in terms for the price and what you get and a lot of people have said that the pioneers are closest they've used to the hd25s
PopsiclesInMyCellar definitely the AT-M50 or x- but thats more for mixing you get a decent mix on them for mastering you can't do it in headphones, best you send a track off for mastering, even if you had a good pair monitors, you need a range of monitors to master a track
On whom, the HD25? Yes, you can, but you won't get a professional result. In fact, you probably won't get it perfect with M50 either, so just relax and have fun, let somebody with better gear and more trained ears review your work, and if they tell you range X is too hot or too soft, you fix it! I think Wolf is wrong, HD-25 has its issues but i think they are of little practical regard towards mastering. I mean it has an untamed 10k peak, big fucking deal, you want to be careful with that area anyway. M50 has one too, and it's even more painful there. Let's see some authoritative sources on your choices, shall we. Since the Harmann preferred listening curve came out, you can mentally raise the 3-6k area by about 6db. (www.innerfidelity.com/content/harman-researchers-make-important-headway-understanding-headphone-response) Wolf's preferred HDJ-2000: www.innerfidelity.com/images/PioneerHDJ2000.pdf The 10k peak is recessed, which makes for a more relaxed listening experience, but it's not what a mastering headphone sounds like. The presence area is a bit on the weird side, it's not too hot but it's resonant. Here comes the M50: www.innerfidelity.com/images/AudioTechnicaATHM50.pdf This is near examplary, apart from a valley at 6k and 10k being quite sharp. They also got better with time: www.innerfidelity.com/images/AudioTechnicaATHM50B2012.pdf Or maybe just bassier instead of better: www.innerfidelity.com/images/AudioTechnicaATHM50x.pdf This is the HD25: www.innerfidelity.com/images/SennheiserHD251IIB2012.pdf Look, if you can tell a great deal of difference compared to M50, be my guest. Sure it's different, and mostly for the worse (see that 6k valley), but not by much. Aiaiai TMA-1 with DJ pads: www.innerfidelity.com/images/AiaiaiTMA1.pdf And with Studio pads: www.innerfidelity.com/images/AiaiaiTMA1Studio.pdf It will sound fine, but if you do it by ear, you will master the presence (4k) up to 10db too hot. Also introduces the danger of mastering 10k too hot, and people listening with headphones above or below MIGHT feel a mild urge to murder you. But does it have to be one headphone for everything? 30$ gives you a mastering headphone ruthless in revealing mistakes, though not the ultimate in listening pleasure. www.innerfidelity.com/images/SuperluxHD681.pdf
Lucian Petrescu Lucian - we actually talked to AIAIAI about this recently, and they've fixed this problem that was incessant on many headbands. They've updated the material and made it much more impervious to bending.
A friend of mine had a pair of Aiaiai with the head band broken...he wrote to the company that is producing them, they admited it was their fault so they sent him a new pair, second generation...you should try this
I've gone through 2 headbands on the AIAIAI's... those headbands are garbage :( Though I did like how they sounded. I ended up buying vmoda m100's instead so I could get the metal headband.
+molly water I honestly wouldn't say so. The sound is quite flat but lacks a lot of depth. 300 ohm headphones are a lot better for production. Look into Sennheiser HD6
I definitely wouldn't say so... hd are low impedance headphones designed to work high volume for long time, opposite than high impedance ones, designed for studio use, more clean and detailed in terms of sound.

wouldnt beats mixrs fit in this category? none the less i love the mixrs, next to perfect for me. thinking of trying out the new pioneers. simply winning because of the rotating ear cups.
Yes, MIXR is a comparable headphone by weight, size, cue system, comfort, and even by sonic signature, especially if compared against Aiaiai and Nocs, which are themselves quite different from HD25. I think it would be welcome in this comparison, even if just for comparison's sake. Where MIXR falls flat is its durability. You pay 250 EUR - ok, you can get better sound cheaper, but so what, it's a one time expense, and if you like the swag, let nobody be your shrink. Except it isn't, as soon as the headband does its snappy dance. Plus after the atrocities that this brand had released in the past (and blatant lies a certain Mr. Andre Young spewed to promote them), a DJ risks being ostracised by friends if he is seen wearing a "b". It's especially a socially risky one to wear in the Techno and House scene, while the others will grant you a nod of admiration with your style. Though i would argue, Aiaiai also doesn't necessarily fit working DJ's durability criteria, even though they swore to the headphone deity, they really, really, REALLY fixed the headband THIS time over. It wouldn't be the first time they said that. I stopped counting.
apparently they fixed AIAIAI headbands, they'll also reemburse you for the broken pair or give you a new pair if you contact them. This being recenly, since they have a new limited edition ghostly version. My Mixrs are busted and have been for a while, i would but again but i do feel there are better cans out that suit my style, personally thinking of going for the HDJ C70s. Similar build, better quality. Thanks for the insight Siana Gearz, appreciate it.
***** Other headphones in this category: Zomo HD-2500/HD-3000 - originally an in-house brand of Recordcase. I have no idea where it comes from, i have heard claims that they sound fine but i have no first hand experience. I have a hypothesis which is likely wrong. See, recently Pioneer DJ was rumored to be up for sale. Then next thing a majority stake in it was purchased by an equity investor. Next thing that happens, C70 is out and the new turntable is out. The turntable is developed in Taiwan, by Hanpin, not in-house. What if the new headphone is also of obscure Taiwanese/Chinese origin, and not an in-house development? I think there's a great world to explore hidden there, with tons of locally renowned manufacturers. Yoga has produced some remarkable capsules and headphones over the years, as did Goan-Fann (Tenlux/Superlux). The latter presented their own take on HD25 this NAMM, the HD-562. Mere weeks later, it's stocked and available for 40€ locally, and it has some style. I'll get one and tell how it is. I'm a fan of Yoga CD-68, but it's not a suitable DJ headphone. What i wear now is Urbanears Zinken. Is it a good DJ headphone? It's not particularly good in durability, it isolates very well, comfy. It sounds polite, so it's not the best beat-matching headphone, but it's one i'm not keen on taking off ever. Cables are garbage quality though. The price-point is below 100€ making it a reasonable purchase. Swag factor is huge. I have 3 in different colours! And i must constantly hold myself back from getting more... cause the colours! They just keep inventing colours i never knew were possible. I see a lot of DJs wearing them these days locally, basically that's what the Aiaiai crowd has changed towards these days after they broke a dozen headbands, and had to pay for new ones every time, and wait months for the new headbands to ship.
Mark my words, the HD-25's are the bee's knees. Since 2006, they have been my primary headphones. Their durability is absolutely astonishing.
If your old HD25 ear cups start sliding down whack a couple of small zip ties in the gaps...i am sure you will work it out..
Still missing my Sony MDR-V2s.....great headphones
I got in on the first run of AIAIAI TMA-1s and the band snapped after about 8 months of heavy use. I replaced them with V-Modas and then got the beatport edition TMA-1s because that green color in the cable matches my glasses and my jordans. I've had those over a year and they're in perfect condition after about 40 hours of use a week since then.
the headband was an issue of aiaiai manufacture but it has been fixed since late 2013
Guillermo Tinoco Not really true actually. They still break easily and you can't replace them. Really waiting for the tma-2
DJ Kento Gee lucky they match your glasses and jordans...
Pioneer HDJ C70 headband getting snapped .. i love it but still confused about durablity factor , What do you suggest
can you do a review on the phonon 4000's? curious what those are like.
When listening to music at home I tend to use the HD 280 pro headphones connected to a Fiio K7 Bluetooth DAC Amp and they also sound amazing, the hd 25’s have a better accuracy and as if I can hear more in the music, the HD 280 Pro’s have better bass extension and are a little bit warmer to my ears, both are amazing headphones and I wouldn’t be able to live without them
nocs NS900 Live is the new must have DJ Headphone that is for sure.
on the aiaiai's would it be down to the certain driver you have got there
somebody told me that the earpads of hd 25 fits exactly at ns900 .can you tell me if this true?
I really like my HDJ 700, they sound amazing, really like them
Track ID playing in the background!!? :)
what do you think about the technics rp-dj1200?
The aiaiai headphones are fully modular, what is he on about saying you can't take them apart?
What do you think about the Superlux HD-562?
Bought the AIAIAI few weeks ago, really love it .. comfy and minimalistic , a bit too much bass
I really agree!
i'm thinking of getting one, but i don't like bass heavy speaker units; Which speaker unit does your Tma-2 have? S04 i guess;
Which drivers did you choose?
Does anyone tried the sony mdr xb-920 for djing?
Does anyone know if the hd25 light sound the same as the normal hd25?
The sound is definitely better in TMA-2. He is talking about the TMA-1
Hello , in your opinion based on this video which is the best headphone .
Yours sincerely , João
great review!
HD 25 best sound and very light. My problem is that in 5 years I have changed the cable 4 times.
Serás tú yo los tengo 10 años y lo único que he cambiado son las almohadillas que por cierto al final compré las de terciopelo originales y duran muchísimo más.
aiaiai tma 1, had these for about a year. head band snapped. the manufacturers didnt want know. shocking service. went back to urbanears zeinken, totally bomb proof and half the price. very similar look too
Could you tell more about the flexibility?? is it good???
I've had a chance to use the HD25 and, i stress that this is a very personal opinion, they're a little bit too studio sounding to me, just a bit too flat. Headphones for me are a very personal thing and as far as i'm conserned the only ones i can really enjoy using in my sets are V-Moda, against this is a personal opinion.
I listen to it every day :)
Are Pioneer hdj-c70 even out yet?
you shuld do a reviw about all technics models :)
VModa M100's?
Great review mate. Gotta question for you. What is the latest model of the hd 25? Consider buying them as my next pair and get a bit confused with the models.
Thanks in advance.
AKSO Official Their latest is the Sennheiser HD25 1-II Aluminium
Daan Gerssen Alrighty then, thanks ;)
A common mistake of djs is to buy hd25sp because his description say they are for djs besides being very similar and cheaper, but really have to be aware that talking is the HD25 1-II described as says packaging as studio reference headphones. always should clarify that because if you buy the sp you can be disappointed
What would better, steel cable or coined cable?
Gr8 helpful review!
HD25s. Unless you wear glasses. Tnen Vmodas. nice review
2021 and i never saw
any dj in Brasil wearing Pioneer HDJ C70...
I'm looking into buying a pair soon for commute and casual listening :)
i use urbanears Zinken and i think they sound good... any opinions on them ?
Gabriel Martínez I use it too (yellow), Zinkens are best choice in money/performance, but my dream are HD 25s/TMA-1.. once i get the money it will be hard decesion.
HD25s are great. I just wish the cables were more durable.
12:26 EXACTLY!!!!!! I just don't understand why all there years, Pioneer dont produce L-shaped jacks on all their HDJs while their DJMs' headphone jacks are upright? That just dont make any pairing senses. Or, are they just creating themselves more repeat sales on the cords? #GOTCHA :p
Senheiser, the best!
So you can replace the cable of the HD 25 ?
but is so easy
what about technics?
I'm happy with my V Moda Crossfade LP2's. Solid metal and kevlar build but still compact so I don't look like a fighter pilot with my big azz head
Where is Urbanears Zinken?
If my hd 25-1 II only sound on one phone , and when i turn it in different positions the left sound intermittent, what is the problem? The cable, the phone itself or what?
Please, help me!!! :( (my headphones are 2 years old more or less, maybe less than 2).
devianT Art devianT Art not sure - def reach out to Sennheiser's support and they'll be able to help. The good news is that they're modular so you don't have to replace the whole thin
Thank u so much mate :) I ve done so, but i´m almost 100% it´s the cable. I let the cable extended 4 1 or 2 hours and now it works perfectly again. I´m gonna be really careful with these on the future.
+DJ TechTools They are modular but the individual modules are crazy expensive (at least here in the UK). You almost may as well buy a new set
whats the music in the background? it's brilliant
"Chicola & Sonic Union - Domino Effect" & "Chicola & Sonic Union - Crucify Your Mind"
I have my HD 25 for more than 10 years
You know why they tell you to "break it in", the Aiaiais?
HD25s are far from neutral sounding.. they are low end mid range excited
HD25 all the way. I've used a lot of headphones over the year but the HD25's are the best quality of sound, build, durability, all of that. just pay the 150$ you won't regret it. you buy the cheaper headphones for 99$ they break in a year.
Except the DJM250 mixer
Phonon 4000's? Thoughts?
Very interested in this as well.. How do they compare to the HD25?
Hearing that the original Aiaiai phones were "not as repairable" is crazy lmao
HD 25 u dont need anything else
apart from constant cable replacements...........AIAIAI
nah, i replace the cable in mine after 4 or 5 years of daily use. And the reason was the jack broke. And i sitted in that jack and bend it like 2 years before it finally broke.
Nah B.....Daily use and still a big problem for many heavy rotation DJ's too....Dont BIG up a classic design problem from Sennheiser.....I've use and loved them since 92 (used Sennheiser's headphones since 81)
Check ya compatition out b4 promoting a common weak design fault to the masses.I don't disagree they sound great for monitoring your sounds, but there's better out there if you dont wanna keep replacing parts(Leads and pads).YOU WERE LUCKY....Check out some blogs Re Sennheiser cables.(cable NOT the jack)
whats the difference between HD25 & HD25 plus ?
@@ozyknows Both are the same headphone, with the plus you get a bit more in the package, extra cable, extra pads and a carrying case. Overall it is exactly the same headphone.
DT 1350?
How much is the range of that headphones?
Mikie Sato Should be around 150-250$
Thumbs up for The DW reference
no allen & heath xd2-53?
thats another type of headphone
How does the Pioneer C70's compare to the new Sennheiser HD7, HD8 line?
from a review i read a while back the HD7/8 don't cut it in terms for the price and what you get and a lot of people have said that the pioneers are closest they've used to the hd25s
just stop the video at 2:15 and go buy some HD25s
Second that!
I actually did that.
Question:
Aiaiai Tma-1(Fools Gold) or Sennheiser HD-25???
is it OK to mix/master on them? or is it true the his and mids are way too boosted?
Don't master on em that's for sure.
well what are some decent / go to head phones to master on if i dont have speakers / a full on studio...
PopsiclesInMyCellar AT-M50x are solid for the price.
(www.innerfidelity.com/content/harman-researchers-make-important-headway-understanding-headphone-response)
Wolf's preferred HDJ-2000:
www.innerfidelity.com/images/PioneerHDJ2000.pdf
The 10k peak is recessed, which makes for a more relaxed listening experience, but it's not what a mastering headphone sounds like. The presence area is a bit on the weird side, it's not too hot but it's resonant.
Here comes the M50:
www.innerfidelity.com/images/AudioTechnicaATHM50.pdf
This is near examplary, apart from a valley at 6k and 10k being quite sharp.
They also got better with time:
www.innerfidelity.com/images/AudioTechnicaATHM50B2012.pdf
Or maybe just bassier instead of better:
www.innerfidelity.com/images/AudioTechnicaATHM50x.pdf
This is the HD25:
www.innerfidelity.com/images/SennheiserHD251IIB2012.pdf
Look, if you can tell a great deal of difference compared to M50, be my guest. Sure it's different, and mostly for the worse (see that 6k valley), but not by much.
Aiaiai TMA-1 with DJ pads:
www.innerfidelity.com/images/AiaiaiTMA1.pdf
And with Studio pads:
www.innerfidelity.com/images/AiaiaiTMA1Studio.pdf
It will sound fine, but if you do it by ear, you will master the presence (4k) up to 10db too hot.

Funny intro 👍🏻😊
where is your beard man
the head band of the Aiaiai breaks in half ...
Lucian Petrescu Lucian - we actually talked to AIAIAI about this recently, and they've fixed this problem that was incessant on many headbands. They've updated the material and made it much more impervious to bending.
good to hear :) meanwhile I'm using Philips A1-Pro, headphones made in colabortion with Armin Van Buuren and aren't bad
+Lucian Petrescu Philips are absolutely nailing the Headphone market at the minute!
A friend of mine had a pair of Aiaiai with the head band broken...he wrote to the company that is producing them, they admited it was their fault so they sent him a new pair, second generation...you should try this
Yup, mine broke it half as well
hd 25!
HD 25 ALL DAY!!
technics rp-dj1200/1210 according to me the best you can get for the money as a DJ
I get your your point, but you do not have the option to upgrade them over time. With the TMA-2 you can do that.
HD-25 Plus. Ever.
I've gone through 2 headbands on the AIAIAI's... those headbands are garbage :( Though I did like how they sounded. I ended up buying vmoda m100's instead so I could get the metal headband.
I use my tma 1 since they came out. No problem with the haedband
Had mine for 6 years. Still rocking them. Only thing I replaced are the pads and the new angled cable...
im in your boat. the headphone snapped in less than a year =/ Also, the sound comes out uneven, even after i replaced the cable.
My headband broke within 6 months :(
ON EAR
LETS GO
AI AI AI

is hd25 good for producing as well?
+molly water yes they are, some music stores are selling those in the group of studio headphones
+molly water they were designed for production
+molly water I honestly wouldn't say so. The sound is quite flat but lacks a lot of depth. 300 ohm headphones are a lot better for production. Look into Sennheiser HD6
the hd 25 1-II really are a reference studio monitor headphones, so yes!
I definitely wouldn't say so... hd are low impedance headphones designed to work high volume for long time, opposite than high impedance ones, designed for studio use, more clean and detailed in terms of sound.
HD 25 plus is the updated and better constructed version
The cable looks like weight a ton and not that good for portable devices.... would have been good if they made easy interchangeable cable
Hd25s are great hessphoens but dont like the look and mids and hughs are real boosted for me .. I like better the ultrasone dj1 Pro or hdj2000 but these bresk in 2 montsh olo
For me mids and highs are real harsh ans after some.minutes are real.unpleaseant
New game...take a shot every time he says HD25.
I am realy sry to say .. but i had bad experince with the AIAIAi .. my firt one broke realy quick i wrote to get replacments and ordered a new pait because it would take some time ... same happend do the Second haedphone i hardly complained and nothing ever Happened nothing no return email no sry no nothing realy disapointing and therfor a absolute no go .. i returned to HD 25 again and Happy as always ;P i only switched in first Place because my HD25 always got stolen .. take mre care and be happy
wouldnt beats mixrs fit in this category?
none the less i love the mixrs, next to perfect for me.
thinking of trying out the new pioneers.
simply winning because of the rotating ear cups.
The Mixrs are not this style, like the HD-25. Great headphones, but over priced. You are paying for the brand, thats my only problem :/
***** Other headphones in this category:
Zomo HD-2500/HD-3000 - originally an in-house brand of Recordcase.
