Easily one of the greatest bands ever. They put Ireland on the map when everyone thought we were backward paddies. Im so proud of being Irish. We have such amazing interesting people in where you can simply be standing at a bus stop, get talking to someone and learn about their life in 10 mins. Its a magic country.
My cousin turned me on to U2 in the early days. This song in particular was his favorite, also my favorite U2 song. Basically about a person dealing with a friend that's overdosed. Hurts every time I hear this but I continue to love it. It reminds me of my cousin so much because he passed in his 20s during an alcohol binge😢. Kind of ironic for me. I know that No one cares about my issues but I just had to get it out of my head for a second. RIP Michael Reed.
