Sim Race/Flight/Productivity Rig Walkaround

- By popular demand finally made a tour of my rig. It is tri-purpose rig - I use it for work, sim racing and flight. Pretty comfortable for all three use cases.
This video features all below:
1. Tour of the rig itself
2. Custom open air frame Gaming PC (3030 alu profiles)
3. TV/Media rack from 8040 alu profiles
4. Bass shaker configuration - 7x full size bass shakers (Aura and Dayton mix) and 6x Dayton Exciters
5. And last but not least - some footage of the Rig in use
Also just finished two part from my new modular dashboard - triple cluster of round gauges and belt tensioner power module, which has internal relay and offload circuit to discharge the super capacitors when not in use.
Cable management of this monstrosity took forever but finally this is almost complete as well. Enjoy!

Thanks! This is my third set of inverted - really like it! Always felt more natural to me to be inverted. Even on the Fanatec V3 Inverted the normal Porsche like throttle was not so comfortable - was thinking to do the same for testing purposes on the Heusinkvelds but never actually bothered 🤪

Thanks! Well, there is no changing - remove wheel, paddle shifter and display, make sure the flight throttle is slided all the way to the side and voila - pull the keyboard tray and work. It is actually quite comfortable. Currently am editing video on the new keyboard tray I just completed - there it will be demo of how the swivel arm works. Will be uploaded on my channel soon.
Now that is a Sick Setup!
The PC is mindblowing. Did you go for a AMD or Intel?

Hey there good sir. I purchased 3 of those little amps to power my bass shakers. Do you just power them via USB from amp to computer and do you just connect the speaker wire from the bass shaker to the positive and negative connections on the amp or do you use the audio output plug in? If you have any tips on setting this up I would much appreciate it! Cheers

What is the ignition key button box at the start of the video and where did you get it from?
It is power box with relay for my belt tensioner. Designed it myself, part if modular system, was planning on adding third component - regular switch/button box, still WIP. Shortly will upload all files for download and link in description.

Mmm, one more question, which are those usb amps for the shakers? I'm looking for a replacement for mines as they are too big, got 3 right now for 6 shakers

Take the 100H version as it has 2x amp chips which are also better quality. Had no issues with mine more than a year use. Added bonus is they are USB device so no soundcard needed. SimHub controls volume directly as well - knob not needed. You also have answers on your questions in the website - mail notification does not work 🤪🍻

hey man i build my own setup atm can u tell me how much space does everything need in width with the ultra wide monitor ? i have a corner in my room and i am not sure if i have enaugh space for the rig with monitor mounted
Hi mate, 115cm is the G9 so the whole rig can fit in this dimension without motion. With the triple setup I have currently it is 140cm.

This dude's sim is more expensive than many cars
It’s the mountain bike rule - your car should be cheaper than your bike 🤪 It is not that expensive because of all the DIY - even the rig I ordered on pieces from local profile supplier. And still it costs much less than real race car!

A sim racing rig in my eyes has triples or VR. A single screen with everyone crunched up into it isn't a sim racer. Unless you're playing a horse racing game (you know, horse blinders).
I use VR, also added two more small panels on the side which work pretty well for what they are…
Great rig! One thing i would recommend based on experience is trackball instead of mouse ✌️🫡👊
Thanks! I was considering trackball but need mouse as I am also working full time from the rig when home office. I have a touchpad, but too lazy to mount it - have to figure out where it will be comfortable and not interfere with the removable joystick. Always work in progress I guess…
