I really like how soft you sing your warm ups. I'm a rock singer and it lets me calm my tension down and just relax and flow with you easily. And when I warm up light, I can later on sing with greater tension and push and my voice is much more malleable and protected.
I am a baritone, but like to use these sometimes to see if it would help extend my voice, this lesson is extremely fun, you are like the mad scientist with some of these, thanks

As a girl with a lower voice this is SO useful!! The best warmup that I’ve found that genuinely tones and warmes both ends of my voice. Thank you so much for this video 🖤
So helpful! Always busy, so great use of drive time on the way to rehearsals. Just challenging enough to keep my brain engaged, and focus on warming up.
Jeff thank you so much for all you do! Your lessons have really helped me to develop my voice. Your channel is the best resource for vocals on You Tube. Thanks again!
Jeff, this warmup is worth its weight in gold ($$ if you get my meaning $$)! I couple this with the extended range and I have a great warmup for voice over or singing (Yes voice artists, you should be warning up your voices).
Awesome! Thank you for your kind words and thank you for watching and singing along with me! That warm up regime sounds awesome and should work really well together! Keep it up! Jeff
This one is amazing!!!! Some exercises are very different from what I am used to and certainly challenging. I am incorporating this one into my regular warm-up. Nice Job Mr. Rolka!
This is one of my favorite exercises in your varied videos. I like the range for the lower, mid and upper registers of my voice plus I like how it sounds with chords, etc. Both my choir directors have commented of the improvement of my voice. Thank you for helping along the way and challenging me. You have a very friendly smile at marker 5:00, too.
Wonderful! I am really happy to hear that you're enjoying this video, and that your practice is paying off and being recognized! Thanks, re: my smile! I always feel pretty happy when I think about folks singing with the videos and getting their voices going! Thanks for watching! Jeff
I have been watching your videos for almost 2 years now but just stumbled across this warm up and it fits perfectly into my range thank you so much Jeff!!!
Jeff I absolutely love your vocal warm UPS such an incredible help. Might I suggest though that you go through the actual vow sounds without the piano explaining what they are 1st before you execute it would help would help tremendously. Thank you once again for putting these on RUclips. Is a true gift for us singers.
Thank you so much for this. ..you are awesome. . My choir director Marcus Thompson told me to find a mentor and Sir you are him. I have introduced you to my choir.
That's awesome! Thank you so much! I really appreciate it and I hope your choir gets plenty of use out of the videos. If you find you have any questions that are not resolved amongst your peers or director, feel free to join me at my weekly live event. Saturdays at 6pm London time here on RUclips. Thank you! Jeff
This is one of my all time favorite exercises, I find it to be very useful and helpful except for the octave leap with the trill on the top. I don’t I’ll ever gonna be able to do that. Not with vowels, nor with the lip trill either 😅
I was wondering if after.doing this warm up , what is most effective for vocal growth and strength? More Warm up videos or "non warm.up exercises? ...they seem the same.to me . ? Thankyou again. Awesome tutorials
Still having trouble with the one you thought was te las one, I´m having trouble with those high notes, I feel a bit of strain. Could you give me any tips or to what video to refer? Thank you!

I just started singing in a barbershop group. I sing lead tenor. What would you suggest as the best warmups for holding sustained higher notes (we call them posts) without strain on the vocal cords?
Hi Jeff, love your videos. Just wondering what the difference is between this video and other warm up videos you have for tenors like myself.. Trying to find the best regimen I can do every day and before shows
Great question. The videos all have their own focus, though those that are 'daily warm ups' are the most generic in that they go through all five cardinal vowels and will generally be full range. Some are more specific to one group of vowels over another or I have the vowels arranged to achieve a specific effect, such as helping to focus the 'a' vowel. You can always have a look in the descriptions where I put some of that info. Best, Jeff
@@JeffRolka I have this issue where my sustained notes lack direction. I am an instrumentalist trying to learn to sing, and we were taught to always make sustained tones interesting via cres. or diminuendo, and vibrato. Especially on my low notes they lack color and have no room to grow. I try to push them and they just stay dull and quiet.
I love how he nods at me approvingly. Even though he can't hear me.
it's better than any VR experience on the market today.

I like the concepts applied and the gentle you handle the exercises. I am a tenor and I found your practice very professional and helpful.
Thank you
You should do more ear training videos for tenor, and possibly put the keys of the warm up on the screen. I love this warm up! Thanks so much.
Great ideas! Thank you! Glad you like the warm up, thanks for watching and singing with me!
Best,
Jeff
This warm up, like all your warm ups, always feels fresh. I learn to listen to how my voice is doing in the moment I work on your exercises. Thank you
