That's awesome to see this! I remember our neighboring diary farmer has had a case demo black knight. I was awe struck of the color scheme an thought it was a sharp looking tractor. than upgraded their equipment, an after all these years He found one an had it restored. an has it back on his farm but only doing light duty work.
Hey Jason, I used a J I Case model 430 back in the summers of 1964 thru 1948. My neighbor bought the tractor new along with a baler, small bales. It had 12 forward and 3 reverse speeds if my memory serves right. Sweet tractor to drive and operate. He did custom baling for 5 years that I know of, doing 10,000 to 12, 000 bales a season. Good times. Just my two cents. Thanks for sharing.
I’m guessing most folks subscribe to see the tractors (me too), but for this video it would have been great if you had dug around in the dirt and showed how well the drill was cutting through the residue and placing the seed.
14:10 Good looking tractor. That is an excellent way to promote a new tractor by changing the color. That big air seeder you can cover some acres with. Great video.
I tint on the side and do lots of tractors and combines. Usually do them in 1 or 5%, but at night it only looks like 35 or 50% from the inside because of how far lighting has come.
JI Case did these Black Knights, I have a couple of these on a shelf 1/16 scale and a 1/43 scale. What other Ag companies did demonstrator models, and do they still offer demonstrator models, like this Magnum 400?
The tinted windows on that cab are like magic from the outside it was black you could not see in. I know that's got to block a lot of the sun's heat out of that cab. from the inside couldn't even tell they were tinted what kind of magic is this?
Personally I think CIH was lazy and stupid to black out a magnum and call it a black knight. No power red and gold, no black knight. It’s just another blacked out tractor
@@ROCK-s1t this is a magnum lol, nothing to do with Steiger, HOWEVER, as a Steiger history nut and (only once now but more to come) Steiger operator, I agree
They definitely should have did something to make it pip more besides painting it black and slapping Demonstrator on it. Could have threw on nice graphics or something
I don’t care what color they paint it’s still a Case row crop tractor. They are still so far behind JD it’s laughable. My friends Case 400 is like running a 4960 with plugged fuel filters and that’s being generous. Great combines horrible tractors.
There r a few farmers out there who use and like the Red machines over the Green ones. I would think your use of tractor is all about reliability and service from dealership.
Very good beast!!! Black color make it angrier!!!
Old school CASE BLACK KNIGHT! Now throw a little GOLD representing the GOLD DEMOSTRATOR INTERNATIONAL
They did a golden demo edition awhile back. This “black knight” scheme is laughable and does no justice to the real black knight scheme

It's good to see a Farmer happy and willing to chat, that tractor makes him smile👍👍👍👍🌾🌾🌾🌾🚜🚜🚜🚜
👍👍 Farmers explain the operation the best.
That sucker looks cool as heck! Cabs have came a long way!
It is one cool tractor.
This was something very special Jason, it looks sharp and awesome
Thank you Jason!!!!
Thank you for watching.
I do really like the black, sharp looking. That farmer is pretty fortunate to have one of five made. This is a very cool find Jason. Thanks 👍🏻.
Wait 5!!. There was one at state college for ag day this summer and I got to sit in it.
That was a really interesting piece of history about case I never knew they did that thanks for sharing
That is definitely a stand out tractor😉👍 cool to see a black magnum in action👍😁
Thanks Jason, always appreciate the homework and history.
Thanks Jason! Was able to see one of these demonstrators in person. Very impressive for a magnum. The black paint is sleek too.
Cool tractor, the driver appears to be enjoying his office! Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
The 400 is a nice tractor. Thank you for watching.
👋 hey 👋 from Dexter,Missouri
Another super awesome video😎
Have a super awesome night🌉.be safe.
If you ever do something on a old 300 Massey Ferguson combine would be great to watch
Great footage! Sweet tractor.
Love your videos! They are very informative.

Another great video. That's a very cool bit of history, and a really cool tractor
They should have made it white or the cream color and orange, like the old case tractors were.
Now that’s a really neat looking tractor

Thanks
Great video
This tractor is very impressive ,a Cadillac
Work horse .
Much Appreciated to all involved
When I was a kid in the 70's my dad had Case 970 demonstrator. Now he runs 7120 Case IH Magnum that he's had for about 25 years.
Awesome magnum Jason... Haven't seen one like that before... Thx bud
one of five that won't fade or turn pink
Great vídeo Jason.
That guy seems like a happy farmer.
I remember the older demonstrators. At first I thought it was a Fendt. Maybe they should make a few more.
Black should be a option. Our neighbor bought a jicase 970 demonstrator new when I was a kid.
Awesome stuff Jason
Great looking tractor, very cool tech operating with the GPS. Very quiet and the tinted windows look great and visibility is really good. Great video.
One day, Farmers will recognize the advantage to tinted windows and demand darker factory tint from manufacturers.
Very cool
Looks great
That's a very cool tractor, great video
Really quite cab as well .
The AFS Magnums have extra nice cabs.
Hello! Another fine video...
Great video. Congratulations on NFTS hall of fame. I seen your booth at the show.
Thank you Adam. It was an honor to be selected for the Hall of Fame.
%Thank you for this rare item.
Thank you for watching.
@@bigtractorpower You're welcome
Nice machine and good video.
The fifty thousand Case IH Maxxum from 1995 was also painted black from the factory.
Black looks awesome but there's nothing better than a blacked out cab on a Steiger.. Agree Jason?
It's not a Steiger.
Parabens like like eu sou seu fã amo seu canal e seus vídeos sucesso sempre 👍👍👍👌👌👌🚜🚜🚜💪💪🇧🇷🇧🇷
Nice tractor...
Bel video. Bravo. Bei mezzi.
👍👍👋👋💪💪🚜🔝🇮🇹
If it had blacks rims it would be the meanest looking tractor around
I would imagine the black windows are nice in the summer heat
Pretty much since they're tinted
Great during the day but would cut down on the visibility at night.

Super ❤️❤️👍
Great video yes I demostrate a agri king tractor in the 1970 it was1270 agri king it was good tractor but didn"t we were Deere family.
Good Video!! Have You Videos from John Deere 9800I in the Mais?? Many Greetings Sebi!
MX285 with an 1240 early riser spit row. They should make a whole run with the black paint.
Ops olha so coração de ferro em ação ae tem potência heinnn
Cool tractor😎, but just thought it would look cooler with some gold or red added to somewhere 🤔
The original BK had gold decals. A big gold 581 cubes decal would have really made this 400 stand out.

Do you know how many hours (approx) that was on that tractor when you were in it?
That is is one question I did not ask. It has worked a full year from spring to fall on many farms.
Very nice looking machine. Shame to get it dirty. I’ll drive one tonight just like it. But in my farming simulator 22 game😂
Where in Tennessee? I live in west Tennessee.

How does the transmission compare to the Deere
we had case 400 traded for a deere 8R 410 the deere is alot nicer tractor to operate
👍 👍
Would be interesting how the wheat plants (denisty) looks next spring.
Here all give up the no-till seeding because of bad plant population.
It does well. In WKY no-till wheat in corn will reach 100 bu averages.
@@bigtractorpower do you mean 100 bushles per acre?
@@christianhollauer881 yes
No color looks better than black when it is clean, problem is it only stays clean for 5’ or 5 seconds!!😂
Very cool that’s a salty price tho

@@nellsonstout7001 they either could have done that or come up with a new design and called it something else.
