Thanks, Peter. As a German it always makes me smile and cringe at the same time to hear literal translations of German into any other language. But I also think that it might give more insight into how he felt when he said what he said. German mentality is not always easy to comprehend, as is the language. Great translation, too!

The thing is, the german grammar is completely correct.
It’s just completely hilarious to apply it to english.
Applying english grammar to German however sounds like a simplified (dumbified would be more true) version of German.
