The donkey working the mine was priceless. Must layouts do the coaling tower and belt feed from below ground. Few show the donkey working a mine or a tailings pile or bother with the details. Good show, jolly good show

There are 5 of us who host On ever Tuesday , we do a round robin visit. We have 2 guys who have a HO layout, 2 guys in N scale, and 1 guy in O scale. We put the word out who is hosting and most time 6 other guys show up. Most of our layouts are 16X 30 with 30 " aisles so guys can operate with out congestions. We work on our layouts but not on train night, in our group we have a wiring guru , a loco maintenance guy, a guy that weathers, a scenic guy, and an organizer to keep us on track. So nights we just sit and BS.... Don I am one lucky guy!

, WOW!! the layout looks great and it put a smile on my face to see the O'Shea Junkyard and the coal cars. It is coming along nicely. The trains run smoothly and the scenes are good when the Amtrak was running the long shot you had with the mountains in the background, which made it look like it was traveling in the desert. Good stuff. Say hello to Dad and Scott. Oh yeah, great intro to Scott and his arrival.

I thoroughly enjoy your updates. Love the fun, whimsical approach you have taken to the layout and at the same time capturing the essence of the joy of model railroading. Thanks for sharing the story! And my first car was a '68 Dodge Dart - Beige with 3-on-the-tree - so that brought back some memories! To your question, while we have regular op session with 4-6 others on my layout, the actual construction of it has been largely done by myself - I like the quiet time to putter on different projects. The only exception are those areas done by my wife (she does amazing scenery, backdrops and buildings!). Keep up the great work and keep the updates coming!

SCOTT I still own my 1974 Plymouth Gold Duster. Paid $600 for the car in October of 1984. V8 360, A-500, 3.91 Sure Grip etc. etc. I could tell what the car was from the 1st clip!!!! I also have a little N scale version of my Duster on the layout. And never forget to use the big black magic button the floor of the car to help wash the windows of the cars following you.

Nice you are back with videos more frequently. I remember years ago when you first started the layout. It looks really great you and your Dad and friends have got the old, tired layout looking like new. I work alone my hours are not the best for matching other people's schedules, so I plug along by myself. COVID has influenced many of us with friends and getting to work together on our layouts as well, hopefully we are now moving aways from all that. I'm Mike and my layout is the The Great Basin RY.
