Back in the day like high School time frame. I noticed the inside of my passenger window on my Duster had this odd oil stuff building up on it and the pattern looked like left over mac and cheese at the bottom of the pot ithat has been left in the sink for over a week. I finally figured it out. My Buddy Al took me to see Purple Rain. On the way home after the movie (Yes, I'm THAT! Old), Al fell asleep leaning his head on my passenger window. When he was getting out , I could see Al's Jheri curl afro (Look up Rick James) unstick itself from my window much like those sticky plastic octopuses toys that roll down a wall. Yes, to this Day the fight is still on Jheri curl Win by KO vs Windex... Al was Super Freaky
Great to see you back. The narrow gauge is looking good, keep it up. More please. On a sad note, Garry Evans of Fernley NV passed away a few weeks ago. He had a large HO layout and was getting ready to rebuild. In the new Model Railroader is a photo I shot on his layout.
Thank you for the update, everything looks great. The layout is really coming together nicely and please put out the making rock molds and installing them part in a video please.
I was going to mention here too, I love the abandoned mine scene! I'm working on an active coal mine around the same time period, but from Stillwater Montana (Before being renamed to Columbus) and I'm doing hand laid code 40 rail with proto 87 scale spikes. I just need someone capable of building some switches as that's my short coming right now is learning to build a functioning switch.
I still use my machining End Mills for my model layout as I've learned that they're great for get precision pockets in plastic and foam when doing my coal mine scene.
I love this video already, are any of the steam locomotive brass? I've found that brass is the best way to model prototypically, especially for the Northern Pacific like I do and my two friends who model NP Also.
The 2 Don's, Jim, and Scott! Great to see you guys after so long. Made some nice progress on the layout. Had to laugh at Scott at the cafe. He be like, "Why you pointing the camera this way. Over there. The train!!!" Lol. And yeah, the rock molds video please. :)
How is that? I have done over 140 in my Duster. The car plants into the ground. Granted his sounds like a 225 slant six vs the 360 4 speed over drive I have in mine.
Good to see you guys again! It just occurred to me while watching this video that I would love to sit down with your Dad and find out what makes you tick. I'll just bet there's some really interesting stories there! ...Claude
Hey guys grate to see you bk the layouts looking grand lads love all the dirt roads they look fantastic Keep up the good work guys catch you on the next one ATB from over the pond Sion
Once again a very good update and good to see your Dad & Jim, but the highlight is Scott and the Duster. BTW I always thought you guys were metalheads not rap enthusiasts
Good to see another video. Have been wondering how things were going with the layout. Tell Scott that my Dad had a Duster very similar to his. He loved his car. And it was a 6 cylinder too.

Great update, looking forward to see more…. Would like to see the rock mold videos, even if it’s a little rough, I’m sure we learn some good skills.

The Colorado Southern locomotives are brass but not converted to DCC.
@@ModelRailroading I actually specialize in converting brass to DCC, including upgrading motors for them.

Hehe. We had fun in the Duster.
