It’s so great to see regular updates. I considered using a walwort from my collection but decided to go with the WS one. I never in a million years would have thought to check the polarity. Brilliant!
Hi guys. You Tube completely dropped the ball in regards putting out a notification. Surprise, right! I agree with an applicator being more powerful and doing the job it was intended to do with a wall plug. Thanks for proving the point for us. Merry Christmas to you, your family, friends, and fans. I look forward to more content in 2023. Take care. See ya.
I was shocked to learn that wall warts are the opposite polarity to the Static King. I have heard that vacuuming the grass after installation is part of the process to make the grass stand up and not just to clean up the loose stuff when you’re done. Disclaimer; I have not done Static grass myself. Lol.
I had one and even with the power supply never got contestant coverage, sold it. Bought a flocking box which has a more ion generator works better with all sizes of grasses . In December issue of Model Railroader I did an article of making static grass mats with it. happy Turkey Day!
I swear Woodland Scenics does that on purpose, so they can charge you way more for the wall wart. I did the same thing you did with a way cheaper wall wart and it works fine.
I wondered when you guys were gonna start grassing all that real estate. Coincidentally, I only just bought myself a static grass applicator last week (cheap one, China...don't judge 😆). It just has the batteries, no option for a wall wart, but seems to work ok...at least with 2mm grass (the only grass I have, lol). Like yourself, I am also new to the world of static grass application. I was a good boy and upped that thumb when ya told us to. 😂
cool.. static grass does make scenes look better. have you guys picked up your mini you tubers yet from miniprints? I know we are a little to modern for your layout, lol
It never would have occurred to me that there wasn't a standard positive and negative wiring convention. Thanks for waking me up!
Surprise surprise.

Great demonstration. Layout looks amazing. Always entertaining.
Thank you.
Great update and all the best with the grass laying. Take care - Kevin
Thanks

Thanks for checking in with us. Merry Christmas.
Great video guy's....glad to see the Train Room is still standing after the Mod to the grass unit. Grass will look good. Happy Thanksgiving. Bob
Thanks Bob.
Glad to see I'm not the only one having poor static grass efforts. Will have to see if I can add a power cord to my applicator.
It definitely made a difference.

Thanks for the tip. Makes sense to me.

Good to know. We'll see how it works when we really start putting it to use.

Glad to hear I am not the only one that has done that.
