I have been looking for this method for YEARS. I do not know how long Italians have been cooking ravioli, but I but when they started (assume 100 years ago) they did not succumb to a dumb marketing campaign for them to buy a pasta stretching machine for $100 . Excellent.
Thank you! I'm a quarter Italian, and I love ravioli. You made this recipe fool proof! The wine bottle! You kept it 💯🙏 I don't have a rolling pin yet, I don't have wine either, I'm in recovery, but that never stops me from making great scratch made dough, for pasta, cakes, bread, or pastries! I use a rice wine,or apple cider vinegar bottle! Thank you again! I can't wait to try this! I'll make this later in the week. I'll let you know how it turns out for my husband and I. I already have a gut feeling that I probably won't be purchasing store bought ever again! 🙃 ❤ 😍 😋 🍴 🍽 🇮🇹
This is awesome, just what I needed, I will be making these this week, thanks for showing how easy it is to do without any devices beyond a rolling pin, knife and fork. THANKS!
Excellent! I'm all snowed in with nowhere to go so I'm feeling adventurous in the kitchen tonight. Thanks for the video. I'm gonna need the name of this track though... it so chill.
Daaaayyyum....that made me so hungry (Not cool!) But it was an awesome video and I definitely plan on trying this. However, I'm adding some meat to it ;-)
Great quality video interms of editing and showing every detail. It is simple enough to follow and looked delicious at the end. Cant wait to prepare it! Thanks for sharing
i made this for dinner, it was my first time making ravioli. the dough was amazing, i'll probably use the same recipe for make fettuccine etc. the tricky part was rolling down the dough for me. i rolled a bit thick than it should be and the corner parts wasn't as enjoyable as the middle part but i'll definitely do it again, thanks for the recipe
This is the first video of yours that I found and I LOVE your channel. I watch a lot of RUclips but this is so great, “no blah blah blah” it’s so so great! Going to the grocery store now to try this out tonight! I LOVE that there is no machinery required!!
I’m going to attempt this tonight for my boyfriends birthday! I may have some false confidence because of how simple this video makes it look but I really think I can do it. 🥳 wish me luck
Sieht super lecker aus, Annely und ist wahrscheinlich gar nicht schwer nach zu kochen. Werde es demnächst probieren. Vielen Dank für das Rezept und weiter so!!! LG Britta F. 🥬🍴🙂
This is one of the most amazing presentations of a recipe I've seen. Succinct, but yet packed with all the detail of look for (especially appreciate you measuring the thickness of the dough)
@@Forketti you're doing an incredible job with the quality of content and diversity of dishes. I'll be binge watching these the next weekend. Here's hoping your channel soon gets the millions of subscribers it deserves!
So happy I discovered this video. I find pasta machines and fancy equipment cumbersome. Now this! This will be a great introduction to Thanksgiving dinner.
Sorry to hear. For the next time, check the flexibility of your dough before letting it rest. If it is not flexible you should knead it longer or add a little bit of olive oil.
I think it will be around 250-300 grams. Yes, you can substitute pints nuts for sun flower seeds but they have less taste. Would rather go for another nut, like cashew, (blanched) almonds or pecan.
No, that's too thick. Maybe you can better check the video at 3:54 when I lift the dough and you can see the thickness. Or pause the video at 3:56 and watch full screen. Have fun cooking!
Sorry but I have found that doing dumpling style is easier than doing it this way plus doing it dumpling style you can make all different shapes besides I'm just looking for new ideas on fillings and sauses
Wouldn’t recommend it. Spinach needs a bit of oil and heat to develop the flavours. It also shrinks a lot which wouldn’t happen when you add the raw spinach into the raviolis
Because you need it for the filling and for the sauce. Also olive oil is named twice. Check the white text in the top right corner in the ingredient overview to see the difference.
⫸ INGREDIENTS (4 portions) Dough ● FLOUR (all purpose) 2 1/2 cups | 400 grams | 14 oz ● EGGS 4 ● OLIVE OIL 1 teaspoon ● SALT 1/2 teaspoon Filling ● SPINACH 500 grams | 18 oz ● RICOTTA 300 grams | 10 oz ● SALT & PEPPER a pinch ● OLIVE OIL a bit ● GARLIC 2 cloves Serve with ● BASIL 12-16 leaves ● PINE NUTS 4 tablespoons ● SALT & PEPPER to taste ● PARMESAN CHEESE as much as you like
I would suggest to shape the left over dough into raviolis and freeze them. I have done this before and it worked well! Just make sure to add the raviolis on a tray with some parchment paper and a bit of space in between so they won't stick. As soon as they are frozen you can add them to a ziplock bag or Tupperware.
No, you don't have to. You could replace the spinach for pumpkin or make this recipe with a cheese filling. Just add your favourite cheeses into a bowl and mash it all together. Use a tablespoon to add the filling. Good luck 💪🏼
In the country where we live we cannot get Ravioli as tinned food. So wonderful that I can make them easily myself. Very good explained, my compliments.
I am super impressed, just awesome you did an amazing job, I am going to make these but double up on them. As it is for Christmas, and will freeze then serve...what an awesome job you did!
Yes you can. Add them to a tray with a bit of space in between so they won’t stick together. As soon as they are frozen you can add it to a ziplock bag or Tupperware box.
I do have hairs on my arms, never shaved them or tried to get rid of them. You just don't see them as I'm blonde and have a white skin so the hairs blend in with the background 🤘🏼

Can anyone explain why every other recipe calls for yolks only and this one uses the whole egg? Does it have a different consistency or something?
Made this yesterday and I was tired 😅 i have nos future in the culinary world
Naah don’t give up! If you eat pasta regularly you could eventually consider to invest in a pasta machine. Makes it easier to flatten the dough
