- "They called us: 'Tutsi! Tutsi!' They took you out of the tent and did what they wanted with you."
Prisca, Marie-Jeanne and Concessa say they survived the #Rwandan genocide and sought safety in #refugee camps, only to be repeatedly raped and abused by the French soldiers sent there to protect them. All describe similar horrors: #abduction from their tent, the gang rapes, and the photos of the assaults taken by the soldiers. “We naively thought that the white man was a saviour, that he would bring peace,” sighs one of the women. While French army denies all accusations of rape, the three women filed a complaint with the French courts in 2004 and 2012. The investigation is now at a standstill.

I can't even imagine that terror. I hope one day there will be justice.
Till now after all these stories and documentaries I am completely shocked and disgusted that French soldiers took part in this. 🤬😡😢
Europeans have played a big part in all atrocities in Africa. Directly and indirectly.
True that africans are doing so well now being independent
All of the rwandans are innocent, the then disgusting atrocities were the plot of some French in order to over control the country's resources.
@@theowachenuka4005 Europeans are colonizers and they had done terrible things to the locals across the globe and which no world court of justice ever bring their leaders for genocide and human atrocities. It is the hypocrisy of colonialism.
@@theowachenuka4005cope. You African cannot stomach the fact that you kill your own brothers and sisters so you place blame on white people
I am a Rwandan millenial who was too young to know what was going on in 1994 but 30 years later, i am still
in disbelief and with a PTSD I can't get rid of. God watch over our land 🙏🏾
Im sorry for all the Rwandese went through! How heartwrenching. Peace be upon Rwanda today n forevermore
I'm a survivor of RWA

What happened in Rwanda opened a lot of African eyes that the west cares less about this continent
how sick and shameful that the French preyed on these women during such evil times.
I was looking forward for this! thank you!
Wow très fort! Bravo à votre équipe et ces femmes exceptionnellement courageuses
I can not believe the French soldier did that this is sad they already went trough so much may god heal them and punish those who hurt them
They still denied the atrocities they did to those innocent women
The French soldiers did all that to these beautiful women... How unsympathetic!
I hope the Tutsi tribe, heals and genuinely forgive their brothers and the rest of the world.
The world owes the Tutsis better💔
I don't know if I can finish this. So totally sickening and disheartening, it makes me so sad in my heart💔
If Justice doesn't prevail, I hope Karma comes thru with a fury like no other.
This is so horrific, both of the Hutus and the French soldiers. Who does this. I don’t think Justice would really come there way. My only hope is they come to terms with what happened and keep forging their lives ahead and for the generations to come. Much love from Uganda.
This documentary should be passed on to the french government and compensation given to these poor women .
You think they don't know? They just don't care
wherever there are vulnerable, helpless people, you will find predetors.
Thanks for the documentary💔
It's funny how western world preach human rights, justice and democracy in the world but can't bring French militaries and officials who committed crimes in Rwanda during the genocide against Tutsi 1994 and thereafter. 😢
Oh my goodness
RWANDA my love !
We will never give up.
Amen
💔
It’s just incredible how people kills with easy
This is deep
Justice for Rwanda
😢😢😢😢😢
sometimes justice feels not enough to the victims, there should be something more than Justice , and i have come to know it "Forgiveness" . In Rwanda , we healing but i'm telling you it's not easy .
Its easy to say forgive but forgetting not easy
This is exactly how Sikh genocide was played out in Delhi and other parts of India
😢😢😢
Iam from Poland! and during World War,II,about 400000 women suffered the same treatment! from german animals and psychopats and women killed on spot!
God only can heal!
Impore !
God will never forgive those French Soldiers.
Hope you all find healing for the pains you all endured....
Do You remember a movie Papillon! I advise to look at ! horrible atrocities !
My people!! All africans let god bless all of us.
Nyamindi river hiko kwa shamba yetu.....na hayo yote Cate amesema ni ukweli mtupu. Hata pombo uziwa kwa kado ya mto
Why is the Title of this Documentary called Rwandan genocide not the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda?!😢
Very sad and inhumane, actually the French and West as collectively are responsible all the horors and the sufferings these people have gone through, especially the French and Belgium's who have sawn the hatred and animosity between these brotherly Africans.and even after all this, they are still not done with them, still plotting against them.trying to drug them into the same predicament again.
bro the subs are not the same as the words

I am sorry but somethings can never be forgiven !! nothing can ever allow this to be forgiven .. the silence hopefully carries something deeper ..
c'est vraiment deplorable...on ne trouve quoi dire
😭😎😈
If God was watching this, he will one day judge accordingly. The French organized the genocide and actively participated.
Heal my sisters! Heal!!
I love Rwanda, you people should forgive each other and move Rwanda forward.
I think you are not allowed to say this if you were not directly affected by the genocide
@@sarasasa_ must I be directly affected by the genocide before telling people to forgive themselves?.
@@onahstephen4354 yes because you don't know how it feels and if some people may can forgive others don't
@@sarasasa_Martin Luther King said, darkness can not drive out darkness only light can do that, hate can not drive out hate only love can do that. no matter what happened, forgiveness is the way forward, I feel your pains, but allow love to dominate your heart.
Yes because if you haven’t been through it you don’t know how they feel I would never forgive those rapists and baby killers!!
Beautiful peoples....
I am sure religion played a role in this horrible crimes.
