Just something I noticed. "Her eyes zoomed from side to side behind her square spectacles as she read what umbridge had written, and with each line they became narrower". Her animagus is a housecat. The narrowing of the pupils is often attributed to one of the following: 1. The sun is out and you're cat doesn't want to go blind. 2. Your cat is straight pissed , or 3. Completely agree with you, I had assumed it was shortbread (or sometimes called short cake biscuits) as my grandmother brought me up and I recall many a tartan tin and its contents, I think maybe JKR probably just added a catchy and relevant product that was, indeed a knock off of a real life product, that happened to become a play on words to something that exists in the Wizarding world. Changing Nut to Newt is a stroke of genius, shortbread however, ( im a published poet and ive spent a good 30 mins thinking of an equally catchy and relevant play on this word, yet haven't come up with anything as near as good.) Also shortbread is famously rectangular in shape and wouldn't have spilled out on the floor the way JK describes, I think she probably realised when she got to that part in the writing of it, that actually round biscuits would give her readers the better imagery as she describes them as littering the floor. I’ve mentioned this before but it’s really bothering me is the timeline with the prophecy and Peter’s betrayal. Here’s what I got so far: Early 1980- prophecy. July 1980- Harry is born. Peter defected around this time give or take a couple months(we know that it was at least a year prior to Halloween 1981 because that’s when the Order knew for sure that there had been a spy, but it may have happened earlier.) Fall 1980-winter 1980: Snape told Dumbledore that Voldemort was after the Potters. He specifically said ‘He thinks it’s her son.’ This means that Voldemort already decided that Harry was the child of the prophecy. The Potters went into hiding shortly after. 1981: there were a lot of Order deaths leading up to the Potters. (The Prewetts, the McKinnons, The Bones, Dorcas Meadows, Benjy Fenwick etc) Fall 1981: Dumbledore told the Potters to cast the Fidelius charm and offered to be Secret Keeper. They said no and told him they picked Sirius. Sirius came up with the idea of planting a false trail by telling everyone he was Secret Keeper but that Peter should be the real one. The plan was for Sirius to take the hit and protect Peter. Last week of October 1981- the Fidelius Charm was cast. During the last week of October 1981, Peter told Voldemort that he was Secret Keeper and where to find the Potters. Halloween 1981- Voldemort killed the Potters. Here’s my question: why did it take Voldemort a year to kill the Potters when they weren’t under the Fidelius charm until the last week of their lives?
He was looking for something of Gryffindor most likely. Let me explain: The Potters were under the fidelius charm for at a minuim of 6 months according to the letter from Lily to Sirius. The placement of James Potter being restless inside the house, hinting it was probably longer. Also Wormtail seemed sad when he visits the Potters. Also during the time between the prophecy and the darklords downfall he also exclusively targeted former Gryffindor members. The Sword of Gryffindor will only appear before a worthy Gryffindor that displays great valor, according to both Dumbledore and the Minister of Magic. So it makes for Voldermort to be aware of the Swords requirements. Lastly Voldermort would need to acquire birth records of every witch and wizard born as "The seventh month dies". Then narrow in the most likely candidate for the prophecy between the Purebloods, half Bloods, mudbloods, the irony of it being a house elf or goblin. I recommend Super Carlin Brothers btw.
@@millerjames908 also he had already narrowed it down to Harry about a year prior. Peter probably told him about Harry and Neville being born, as Voldemort would have wanted to know if anyone in the Order had given birth to a boy at the end of July.
I assumed it was a shortbread (not specifically Walkers though the are decent for an option available here in America at stores.) Until after multiple readings/listening I picked up on the ginger reference. Not sure if this is culturally accurate or just a thing that happened or what...

2:52 "Umbridge" should be "McGonagall" in the captions.
nice catch
Have a break Potter, have a Kit Kat.
"Perhaps the Dungeons would do!"
She’s the teacher I needed in public school to help me with my autism
Buddy.. can you create audio book of harry potter series. Your narration is awesome 👍
"Have a biscuit Potter" Minerva McGonagall
I’ve mentioned this before but it’s really bothering me is the timeline with the prophecy and Peter’s betrayal.
Here’s what I got so far:
Early 1980- prophecy.
July 1980- Harry is born. Peter defected around this time give or take a couple months(we know that it was at least a year prior to Halloween 1981 because that’s when the Order knew for sure that there had been a spy, but it may have happened earlier.)
Fall 1980-winter 1980: Snape told Dumbledore that Voldemort was after the Potters. He specifically said ‘He thinks it’s her son.’ This means that Voldemort already decided that Harry was the child of the prophecy. The Potters went into hiding shortly after.
1981: there were a lot of Order deaths leading up to the Potters. (The Prewetts, the McKinnons, The Bones, Dorcas Meadows, Benjy Fenwick etc)
Fall 1981: Dumbledore told the Potters to cast the Fidelius charm and offered to be Secret Keeper.
Never thought of that really, good question. Guess its just an oversight.
He was looking for something of Gryffindor most likely. Let me explain:
The Potters were under the fidelius charm for at a minuim of 6 months according to the letter from Lily to Sirius.
Hey, it took Thanos ~18 movies over 10 or so years to get what he wanted, so Voldy's Speedy Gonzalez by comparison.
@@millerjames908 no they were in hiding for that long. They were only under the Fidelius charm for the last week of their lives.
@@millerjames908 also he had already narrowed it down to Harry about a year prior. Peter probably told him about Harry and Neville being born, as Voldemort would have wanted to know if anyone in the Order had given birth to a boy at the end of July.
1st! I love your videos!
6:th
Video idea: what would happen if all mugules found out that witches and wizards exist
best Mcgonagall line for me is when peevves is trying to loosen a chandaleer so it would fall on Umbridge and she tells him the right way to loosen it
Damn been eating this short bread biscuit and never knew it was a Scottish Fav!!
I remembered it was ginger but didn't remember the newt part.
I assumed it was a shortbread (not specifically Walkers though the are decent for an option available here in America at stores.) Until after multiple readings/listening I picked up on the ginger reference. Not sure if this is culturally accurate or just a thing that happened or what...
Are Ginger Nuts made by McVitie's? I've heard George Harrison loved them, and absolutely FREAKED when Yoko ate one of his!
Is it ok if I point out a typo in the description?
I love this line. I was sorry they did not use it in the movie.
„None of the staff but Filch seemed to be stirring themselves to help her (Umbridge). Indeed, a week after Fred and George’s departure Harry witnessed Professor McGonagall walking right past Peeves, who was determinedly loosening a crystal chandelier, and could have sworn he heard her tell the poltergeist out of the corner of her mouth, “It unscrews the other way.”“
What would happen to harry if petunia didnt exsist in which ways would his life change?
I haven't watched the video yet, but i already know which line it's gonna be 😂
"Have a biscuit Potter"
is a ginger newt the same as a ginger snap?
When I saw the title of this video, that was the first line that occurred to me.
Or “I’ll see that you’re an auror if it’s the last thing I do”
Literally watching a theory video about the exact kind of biscuit McGonagall gave to Harry
I freaking love McGonagall 🤩😩
The best teacher ever.
Do they have Universities in the Wizarding world? Nobody ever mentions them but they have Professors. so would imply they do or how did they become Professors.
