Not luck Conor saw a counter from the over extension. It would've been luck if Jose was battering him and Conor ended up with a blind KO.
If you watch the locker room footage of Conor before the fight, it shows him practicing Aldo's movement and him throwing the exact same punch. He knew exactly what Jose was going to do and executed perfectly. No luck involved.

Nate has a reach advantage, iron chin, 10+ years of BJJ which he's a blackbelt in his boxing is probably superior to Connors considering that he trains with Andre ward which at the moment is best of the best in boxing on top of a full camp preparing specifically for Connor were talking months of preparing now as opposed to 10 days notice with no sparring involved idk if Connor knows what he's getting into with this rematch it'll be a good one tho

Diaz endure the high effort of a barrage by Conor in the first round subsequently sapping him from his stamina thus not being able to get out of the way of Diaz's long strikes. Credit to Diaz's durability though.

I think it is so stupid how McGregor stated that Diaz got lucky in their fight. The guy took the fight on 11 days notice and won and somehow he got lucky. If anyone was lucky it was McGregor he got handed a guy who was out of shape and had no time to train. Also with a fight of the magnitude of their first fight Diaz spent alot of time doing media so he probably spent little to no time in the gym training. Yet he still went out there and won the fight. +elNino I'm a fan of Nate, but I hate when people try to make that point. He's an expert cardio athlete. A couple weeks of relaxing and a few drinks doesn't set you back to being a couch potato. In fact a few weeks of can actually be beneficial for healing purposes. He still had top level cardio in the first fight. The real factor was the lack of sparring for a specific striker. It would be stupid to have too much confidence in either fighter. Anything can happen in a fight, but this should be a fun one.

As far as Conor goes, I think he probably would've beat RDA and he would've been the first ever FTW and LW champion and the first to hold two titles at once. I wasn't meant to be though... I think Conor needed some humbling and life made him eat some humble pie when he got choked the fuck out by Nate. I'm not gonna pick sides or say one person sucks. The only thing that I can say is that Conor wasn't ready for that fight. He gained like 20 pounds of fat to fight and it sapped his cardio. Meanwhile at that weight nick was training for a triathlon... So it would be interesting to see them actually be prepared. Can't wait!

Him and his bro are always staying in shape and doing triathlons, they've been doing them for almost as long as they have been fighting. And Connor had months to prepare and went through a fight camp for 196. He was ready for a fight (more so than Nate); he just lost. So don't make it sound like Connor wasn't prepared, he may have been poorly prepared but he was prepared.
+Devon Howard he was prepared for a fight at 150 not 170. Jumping up that much weight hinders your cardio and is really unhealthy in general. As a person who's done wrestling and other forms of MMA I know what it feels like fluctuating weight, but not to that extreme. I'm not saying he wasn't training or anything but his cardio was practically non-existent with that jump in weight.
Sure, I'm just saying he was prepared. Ill prepared, but prepared. No one made him put on 20 pounds of fat but him. He could've weighed as light as 155 and be within welter weight range. For the record I agree his weight gaining choices/preparation/training hindered his cardio and he obviously wasn't able to sustain his high output as long as normal. I don't think he'll change his plan much. He was winning that first round pretty well but he definitely got gassed as the fight went on. If he's gotten fitter and increased his punching power, I think McGregor should get the win but either way it's going to be a great fight.
