  • Manchester United are prepared to listen to offers for the MAJORITY of their first team squad this summer apart from a clutch of rising stars, like Garnacho, Mainoo and Højlund! United’s new hierarchy are thought to be ready to adopt an ultra-flexible approach to this summer’s transfer window given their tight financial constraints and likely loss of Champions League revenues. Although not actively seeking to offload a player like Marcus Rashford, for example, it is understood Manchester United would give genuine consideration to a credible offer for the struggling England forward, particularly if he indicated a desire to pursue a fresh challenge. Raphaël Varane, Brandon Williams and Anthony Martial are expected to leave Manchester United as free agents at the end of the season. Manchester United are hoping to find a permanent buyer for Jadon Sancho this summer...

Everything that Chelsea got out of Thiago Silva, I thought we’d get out of Casemiro. I get that cbs can prolong their careers more than a midfielder but to only get one season out of Casemiro is crazy. Plus with all the sport science 28-32 should still be ur prime years. I personally don’t think it’s a lack of ability from Casemiro, I think it’s a lack of care. For me his penalty sums this up

Lool, anybody expecting Cas to be exceptional probably doesn't understand footballers careers, when you are 30 and your play style is more of strength, speed, agility etc, you're practicslly done. If we get something good out of you it is just another anomaly. I personally felt we'll get at most 2 good seasons from Cas, I still think he's a good servant nonetheless.

Biggest misconception with Maguire is his heading ability. He can head the ball, yes, but 99% of the time; his heading ability is just lumping it back up the pitch, straight to their players. Compare that to other CB in top teams, and they're passing with their heading to retain the ball. Maguire's level is the same as McTominay, would've been perfect at Moyes Everton team

As any FM player knows, with a big clearout comes problems having enough homegrown players to register for UEFA comps. A fire sale is probably needed, but Champions/Europa League registration require a few players to be kept around, even with a few U23s to pad the numbers.

In a 25 man squad you need 4 homegrown (at club) and 8 who trained in England. Pretty easy to achieve. If you have 22 man main squad that means only 1 of them needs to club homegrown. Mainoo alone fits that. 5 who trained in the country. Wouldn’t worry too much about that aspect.

Before i watch the video...i wanted to say i am tired of the constant drumbeat to toss out ETH...i would like to see him with a good structure behind him for a season... besides there isnt any "better" options out there...no Tuchel for sure...guy is a drama wrapped in an enigma, tied to a damn fuse - creates a mess everywhere he has been...we need stability and we need to suffer the pain of restructuring and go thru a down cycle with a coach/manager...is what Arsenal did, it's also what we did with SAF in his first few seasons...results will seesaws but we need to go thru it to come out stable on the other side...

Am skeptical that we can feel the effects of a "good structure" within one season...so next season could be another write off especially if u keep the manager around....I get that the players are dross and shud leave but it's hard to legislate for the rationale of how he's set up, pressing so high up yet the backline is so low stretches us to the max and we barely have legs in that team let alone the impossible I.Q to make such a system try to even work...

@@dougmeister339 yeah, I think it will take a few seasons to fix this mess but it might give us enough info on whether ETH is worth renewing...last season he over performed expectations and this season he underperformed...a 3rd season at either exceedingly or meeting expectations would saet him up for a decision, but shooting under would recycle him - either way I don't think his one bad season is entirely on him...we have had such terrible injuries all season...

@@dougmeister339 I think the intention of ETH was always to play more compact high line football, Varane and Martinez’s passing speed enables that style of play, Maguire and Lindelof don’t, it’s as simple as that. The midfield chasm is caused by Maguire’s unwillingness to play higher and McTominay not knowing how to track runners and break up play. Those two changes alone would step us up massively in the future

@@triaxe-mmb I actually think last season he didn't exceed, he performed okay, it's only Liverpool he had no business finishing infront of but the rest that's where we are/were, 4th best in the league. We were solid enough structurally and we did actually control most games, beat every big six team at home and even totally outplayed some like Spurs, Chelsea. The biggest issue is he didn't build on that, but rather completely scrapped it and decided to play so differently and that abrupt drastic change in styles is why we are here. I think if we had improved on how we played rather than a complete change to a different style( and I think we actually improved personnel wise on wat we already had e.g in midfield with more legs and quality in Mainoo, Amrabat, even Mount....and also Hojlund was an upgrade on Weghorst and a never present Martial, heck u cud even argue Onana wud have been considered an improvement on a declining DDG) , we wud still be comfortably higher than Villa and probably fighting it out with Liverpool..the injuries don't help but we changed style too drastically too quickly imho

He has good size and decent speed but hes not amazing on the ball and his passing may not be good enough for a possession based team which is what i think united wants to become. I also heard fans saying hes better than araujo as well which i also don’t see at all either but would be in similar price range. Other than that stupid red card mistake against psg he is alot more complete than branthwaite is and much better on the ball and passing. He may have half a step of pace as well which are all things we need if we want to have a high line and make better use of our sweeper keeper by playing out from the back.

The lad Kelly at bournmouth is also up for free, but I'm not sure how well they will do playing at the next level with united. But worth a punt.
The trouble with Diomande is that he plays for Sporting and those portuguese clubs love playing hardball with the english clubs and charging super big money for their prospects. We need ruthless killers at the club too, not overpaid mercenaries.
Let's see man. I hope these newly hired Execs will do a decent job. I'm still not sure why we never hired united fan Paul Mitchell. Wilcox and Ashworth's track record looks a bit average to me.

@@keyboardwarriorsaint Kelly is abit of a risk due to his injury record so I’d pass on him. And yes, Portuguese clubs do bump up their prices for players but having proper executives like Wilcox and Ashworth should prevent us from spending silly money. Bro look deeper into their records with recruitment and building sustainable clubs. Ashworth is responsible for Brightons success and Newcastle have been spot on with their recruitment. Wilcox also discovered Cole Palmer, Romeo Lavia, Oscar Bobb, Morgan Rodgers, Rico Lewis and Jeremie Frimping at City.

The Mason Mount signing seems increasingly reminiscent of the DVB signing.
Both were once highly rated and played well in the Champions League.
Both used to play for their country.
Both fairly lightweight midfielders, good fundamental skills.
Both attack minded midfielders in between a number 8 and 10.
Both signed for what was supposed to be a bargain (at the time).
Both deals are done relatively quickly (for us).
Both have more than a whiff of being a club signing (the DVB signing definitely was and despite what has been reported around ETH's 'obsession' with Mount, I don't think for one second that ETH was planning season 2 with Mount in his first team).
If you look at how each player has contributed to the team, it is very similar. DVB has been slightly more productive with his minutes I think. Mount is a bit more experienced in the Premier league.
Neither one of these players were needed.
I think there is still plenty of behind the scenes crap that ETH is dealing with / has dealt with, and the full details of which will only come out if he goes 2 years down the line, after he does an interview that the Glazers can't silence.
Here's my prediction on what will come out about the Mount deal - at the time United were at a complete standstill on the transfer front due to the sale process (or the process of making our greedy bastard owners even more rich for doing nothing). ETH was frustrated with this and wanted some signings in to go on tour with. Mount was presented to ETH as being a deal we could do quickly because he was already high on United's list of "long-term targets" the same list that we had been working on with Ole.
The manager was told he would also be getting the other key positions he wanted to fill, so we signed Mount in a hurry to appear like we were preparing properly for this season, which, on the evidence of pre-season, was evidently not the case. Fail to prepare and prepare to fail.
The worry for me is we are in the same position again going in to the summer and the only possible positive (for idiots in our fan base) is supposed to be we will be getting rid of our manager who brought through the youth for God knows who...
INEOS need to get a grip of things instead of putting out the right noises there needs to be a proper plan.

Branthwaite's value might not be as high as people think. If Everton need to fix their P&S situation a clever club with good negotiators could bend them over a bit.
The argument over whether he starts ahead of Martinez is made a little less clear by the fact that Martinez, like Shaw, has missed more games through injury than he has played... in less than two years. So, if Branthwaite stays fit, he probably WILL start ahead of Martinez.
Does Harry Maguire start ahead of Martinez.? YES... because Maguire is available more than Martinez.
And considering how ramshackle our defensive options have been this season, we STILL have the 5th best defensive record in the league. Better than Villa, better than Spurs, only the top 3 and (really weirdly...) Everton have conceded fewer goals.
Our problem has been that we are 12th in terms of goals scored.
Hojlund's accuracy might be great but his positioning isn't. He's slid past, and failed to get to, plenty of crosses and balls along theline this season, and McTominay has been knocking them in. If he isn't getting on the end of the ball to display his fantastic accuracy levels, then I imagine the manager is probably telling other players to shoot if they think it's on. Hopefully his positional sense will improve, but right now, its not good enough.
There was a compulsory purchase in Alvaro Fernandez' load deal contingent on something like him playing 50% of available games, I'm not sure if he's met that.
No compulsory purchase on Amrabat, we agree the "option" to buy him.
I think Antony is probably safe this season because we still have about 60 million outstanding on his book value, which means that after Tax and Budget Cap we'd need to sell him for about 70 Million just to unlock his wages into the budget.

I think alot of the players dont get on with each other, some of the passes are terrible for a prem player, they dont think how is the person recieving the ball going do it under pressure.
i remember pass three foot over hi head 10-ish yards apart one in the box the the other near half way between the corner flag and the corner of the box, under a press how is he going to control, past it first time??? . i think we have a back4 that hate each other, Maguire would be a great backup for a top 3 team, although I am sick of all this head tennis we like to play. Has Anyone booked rashfords flight yet, shall we all chip in for a 1way private jet for ALL of them to fly to anyhwere.

The only answer for the future of Man Utd is start again. Sell whatever you can. Not many worth keeping. Go young. There is noise about spending caps coming in. There definitely should be wage caps. The game has got out of hand. The style of play. The substitutions. The extra time. The stupid video ref. Everything put together to destroy football. As for Man Utd. I already have had it with ineos. They were taking over this week. Next week. Whenever. Eventually happened. Now we are going to make drastic changes. Why, what, when. Instead of numerous conflicting media releases. Why can't this old bloke get up and just tell the fans what is happening. It is like a kids cartoon. Ssh secret squirrel. I have never been a sit on the fence guy. I would have come in and instantly said you are shit, you are going. Ten Hag start packing. Most of the squad. Get your agents to hang out your shingle. The club is pants. Nothing to lose. But instead all this time later. All we get is guesstimates. This season is shot. We have getting our arse kicked in the FA cup left. We should have a new manager lined up for next year. And decisions made about exact player replacements we are targeting. They haven't even sorted out the back room staff yet. We also need to change whoever is responsible for fitness and player well-being. That is our appalling injury problems. Something is drastically wrong there. The club has been like a wet week in Brighton for years. And still is. Perhaps the old bloke is losing his business acumen as he proceeds through his seventies. Or just delegating too much. Someone, somewhere. Make some decisions. Make something happen. Sick of this cat and mouse approach.
