Forgive my lack of knowledge, but I’m new to the whole EV thing. What is the point of plugging a car in if it only has a 33 mile range? We are having problems with our 2022 MDX and I’m considering the Lexus TX as an option.. but the whole electric car thing is a bit out there for my wife and I. Thank you in advance!
@@kevinsonnenberg2868 This is a plug in hybrid. Meaning it can use gas and electricity both in conjunction and separately. The way that typical hybrid cars work, it uses both an electric motor as well as a combustion engine to greatly increase fuel efficiency. The difference with plug in hybrids is that you now have the option to use the car on electricity ONLY for a certain range. If you have short commutes, like to work or somewhere not far in the city, you have the option of using electricity only for a silent ride, but you still have the option of using the combustion engine in tandem with the electric motor if you so choose. It's a good middle ground for people that want the benefits of using an electric car (silent ride, eco friendly) without having to fully commit, since they fear there aren't enough charging stations near them, or they want more options. Hope this helps!
@@kevinsonnenberg2868essentially it allows you to run some errands around town on battery without using any gas. I think the verdict is still out whether this extra hardware makes much sense vs going all EV such as upcoming Kia Midsize Electric SUV. Honestly you are not saving any $$$ in terms of gas with 33mi Plug-in Hybrid when you compare it to say traditional Hybrid powertrain.
I was looking forward to this but greatly disappointed with the looks. They should have done more to make this look like its clearly a tier above the RX but instead this looks like it could be a Kia or Hyundai.
They all come with the premium engine feature where it blows up because it's too small, and has to jam a bunch of turbo charged air to increase pressure. That will be spectacular. 👍
So disappointed, all this time they had to come up with something and this was the final result. Lazy and sub par design per usual from Lexus. The MDX will remain a fan favorite.
The new Lexus Texas. Nice
I like the old one better 😅
Looking forward to the 3.5L V6 Plugin

Probably on other platform. I don’t think they would put it in the TX
I love it. They’ve done more than enough for it to not just be a ‘high specced grand highlander’
Exactly
That's literally what it is.
@@joshuacortes2414and there is nothing wrong with that. Apparently 500h is the way to go with FSport package which is more sporty vs Grand Highlander

Almost looks like a carbon copy of the Grand Highlander. (It is)
2024 TX Best looking Lexus in the past 20yrs !!
Stop with these damn turbos. Bring back the v6
looks like the new 4 runner
So I am confused.. forgive my ignorance. So this machine comes both in electric and gas? Or can it be just gas?
beautiful
Grille looks like Kylo Rens mask
It is the new family car the Lexus TX it has so many seats and the trunk is cool
Price?
Arm and a leg 😂
The trunk swallows 🫡
Just a beefed up grand highlander.. Probably gonna cost $20k more than one.

Don’t forget about those electric motors which provide a nice torque and make this vehicle make much quicker than say standard 4 cup turbos
I've decided that I'll get the TX instead of the grand highlander since they are offering a V6 Plug in hybrid!
The grand highlander shouldn’t have a 4 cylinder. It’s too heavy for that engine
@@Joalsesame engine does great in the new siennas.
They are going turbo because of the redirections by the epa.
Does it matter that it's only premium gas?
I cant wait to see them coming off tbe line at tmmi
Those wheels are gorge.
What color is this one? I can't find it at canada lexus website 😮😮
Why did they stop the 2GR? It’s a great and powerful engine. I have it in my 2014 and love it.
Trust me, the 2.4L turbo paired with the electric motor is far more powerful and fuel efficient. It even sounds/feels like a V6.
I would wait til 2026 for true ev platform.
All cat reviews should start with " this costs __"
Cool Subaru bro 🍌
Hmmm , how many thousands of dollars is it ???
This is a Grand Highlander 😂
Yes
A plug in with 33miles range 😯😯😯
So disappointed, all this time they had to come up with something and this was the final result. Lazy and sub par design per usual from Lexus. The MDX will remain a fan favorite.
Very very boring
It looks too much like the grand Highlander. I’m not paying the higher price.
Where is the sunroof??!!!😢😢😢
What does TX stands for?
UX - urban crossover
NX - nimble crossover
RZ - radiant zero
RX - radiant crossover
GX - grand crossover
LX - luxury crossover
Tx.. Texas… big???
Three-row crossover?
@@dcon8602 possible
We buy Lexuses and it is too big for our needs. But we have come a long way when a Tahoe sized vehicle is powered by a little 4 cylinder turbo.
Predator grill
you guys need a better microphone 🎙️
Hehe T-Rex
I like that it doesn't have all the ugly black plastic on the exterior like most cars have now.
That grill is beautiful better than all other Lexus Models
Toyota Grand Highlander
Front grill👎🏻
Disappointed
No Ev! Unreal GM will have like 6 evs😅
6 not 7 adults
All I see is some lazy work. No front double wishbone suspension
Alexis Texas is jealous
Looks like a Kia
TX IS NOT MADE IN JAPAN.... GX IS.
Hey that's good 33 miles and 2 days to charge. You pushed this out to the market way to fast.
LOL. why not Minivan? So pretentious
Ehhh boring. It’ll sell well because of this
lol
I don't like it. Unfortunately lexus doesn't get my vote.
Ah ha ha , this is a wannabe be Buick enclave. Rip offs
Toyota is the king of selling you the same thing non stop and constantly raising prices. Smh
Looks are incredible sexy, 😍 the inside is inviting........the power train!? let me see what what else is available 😢. Just keep your old vehicle.
Looks a bit like the older Kia Souls 🤣
Looks bad
