I actually love how the bass is such an integral part of the music. It's isn't a background instrument, it's so important and just as well heard as any of the instruments on stage. So awesome, flea is badass.

This new guy , Josh.... he added some nice styles with his riffs and singing. I never thought much of him till now. It's the little things that get you. He's a chili pepper. 😁
he was friends with Frusciante earlier and jammed with them before. so he isn't exactly a new guy. they seriously lucked out having him available. John saw the escape route and took it. its his choice and makes sense for him. Josh just gets it and makes the transition seamless.
i just don't care for the lyrics on most of the new stuff. i prefer instrumental stuff anyways. like Ozric Tentacles, Maserati, COm Truise, Brownout, Trans Am......add those to your pandora and take off!!!!!!

I was front and center for this show and I will always treasure that experience. I'm so glad this performance was professionally filmed.
I remember this was the first live performance of the Chilis I had ever seen, and I thought what weirdos but now after almost 2 years of being a fan I love it so much! Flea is 56 but has the energy of a 16 year old

I was there and being a guitar player myself I would say he did great and always kept in time. I mean he's the guitar player for the Red Hot Chili Peppers so he's obviously doing something right.

It's incredible to see the chemistry between Flea and Josh. These two were meant to be in the same band. They just make one with their instrument and make one together. I don't think there was ever a duo like these two in the history of music.....
Flea just has a way of musically connecting with every guitarist they’ve had. Hillel, John, Navarro and Josh. All incredible and all talented and perfectly suited to Fleas bass. It’s magical

I love several things about this video:
1. How he comes on stage jumping around like crazy and the roadie just puts a bass over him
2. Red Hot Chili Peppers play a green drum kit
3. Crowd goes wild on the drum drop, cool crowd
4. lol no not cool crowd, it took them until the guitar riff kicks in until they screamed because the band plays Can't Stop
5. then they make up half the song while they play it
6. in the end the drummer throws his stick up quite high and looks after it like "hmmmm where'd it go"
i don't think u know their name, if u don't then Chad Smith is the drummer, Josh Klinghoffer plays the drums, Flea plays the bass and Anthony Kiedis is the vocalist

And also the crowd is was going crazy before that, the sounds of the instruments are recorded different from the crowd, so the producers or whomever uploaded this video just decided to put the crowds voices later
The sound of crowd was amplified in the editing on the riff. They were screaming before too
i saw them in my hometown that year thats the same start to the show that i remember loved it
