Love the progress on this project.
Goats are HARD WORK. They are not easy. Im sure some viewers are looking at the baby goats and thinking they are so cute, and they are! But they soon become bigger goats, and i admire yoir daughters love for them, and her goals, because they aren't as easy as other farm animals.
    They are a commitment. Lol
Kudos to the Goat Mama 😊

I love your idea for trellising a flowering plant. We just drove back from Chandler to Texas and I must say Phoenix is awash in color. My daughter has a Cape Honeysuckle. Blooms red orange trumpet flowers from spring to fall. Bougainvillea is another gorgeous shrub. Have a fun time adding color to the goat barn!!

Been loving this build; well done all! Just a quick word about the graywater drain under the sink. The p-trap is only necessary in a "closed-loop" septic system, where water remains underground for the entire treatment process. The trap prevents sewer gases from migrating back up the sink. You have an open system, with no connection to a sewer system; hence no gases. In fact, the function of the trap will be detrimental in this application; the water will turn fetid, and could possibly cause odors in the garden bed outside.
Just for the record, I have never built an open system like this, but when I installed a closed-loop graywater system for my laundry room, I read Art Ludwig's "Create an Oasis with Greywater: Integrated Design for Water Conservation, Reuse, Rainwater Harvesting & Sustainable Landscaping ." He details a system just like the one you installed, and he recommends no p-trap for the above reason. Hope this is helpful. Keep up the good work!

If we didn't have a barrier, then bugs would just come up through the pipe into the milking room. Since Adali is milking twice a day we're not really worried about the water in the ptrap getting gross. It'll be constantly refreshed.

I've returned home to Minnesota and got my wonderful note from you guys. That made me feel real good guys, thank you. I'm having to go through a divorce so that really touched me. You've helped me to get through this. I've been visiting my grown, 18 and 19 year old boys since I got back. I'm staying with friends. My boys still live at home with their dad. He's a great father. I think the under-layment is a good idea for the roof. So many people have leaks in low slope roofs! Overlapping sounds like a great plan too. That was a perfect catch Jax! Jax is growing like a weed! Is that cat Yum-Lin (sp?)? I keep forgetting how his/her name is spelled, sorry. Wow, that ground looks hard to "trench" through! I'm so impressed with this build guys. Incredible! Perfect drilling for the drain for the sink! Just tighten the couplers more to prevent leaks. It's not under pressure so it can be done. Congratulations! Water supply side plumbing is easier because the connections are made not to leak. I did Pex B fittings at my farm. I like the planter there. That white Pex doesn't like sun exposure so filling the trench up is a great idea because of that too. Such cute kittens! It's so cute how the animals are so loving to you guys. It's good you remembered to block the hot water part of the faucet. Instant water heater in the future? Killer bees?! I'm glad you ducked! I remember Ada inside the other tank cleaning it out! Good advice to do an overflow for the tanks. Yay, no bugs into the tank from the overflow. Wow, that looked hard for Ada to climb out. Wonderful, an outdoor spigot! Great that the drain can go into the raised bed, brilliant! The pump set-up under the sink is nice. Great progress guys! Thanks for this video Longnecker family!

Do you know the trick of convincing the dogs not to jump when you don't want them too? Stiff arm, hand tilted so when they jump they hit their forehead on the heel of the hand, they will get the idea real fast. A good idea to teach them if you want them to behave around guests. Its also easy to teach to guests who don't want them to jump on them.

Don't know if you have it available in your area but there is a pump like what is on shampoo or hand cream that will fit into the hole that is leftover on sink. It has a hose below it to be put into a gallon bottle of whatever you want. I have one on my bathtub with shampoo and one in my laundry room for hand soap. A friend uses hers in her laundry for homade spot cleaners. Just a thought.
