  • Huge progress made today! The metal roofing panels are installed, and we rack up all 3,000 watts of solar power on the new ‪@IronRidgeSolar‬ mounting system. Finally the milk room in the goat barn container is nice and cool with no worries of running out of power.
This is the last update before we release the full build showing all the final details so keep an eye out for that soon - and thank you so much for all your support during this amazing project.

Howdy to all the Homies and Shiny People out there. another amazing job and video. I was Verklempt when i saw the end of the video. Seeing the Legend Dairy G.O.A.T Barn Wall of Fame going up was very special. There is a lot of love on that wall and I appreciate being a small part of it. The tease at the end with Ashley washing and painting the top of the container was like getting to the end of a good book.(i didnt want it to end) Jonathan mentioning that there are probable plans of another container in the future was like hearing there will be a sequel. MUCH LOVE.

You won't regret choosing star jasmine! I've grown 1 in a 12 gal. pot for 25 years and counting.
An easy care plant with real flower power! Hardest part for me is dragging Jassy's container in and out for the season change.
The spent flowers make wonderful tea!

On the edge of that container that's a square tubing at the top edge between that little lip and that twerk comes off to your aluminum roof panels. It is a square tubing. You can actually screw down into it and screw that metal down to it. Put your views tape on there and then put your medal on top of that and then run a screw into that deal. And then caulk it. It it, you won't leak through that tubing

If you don't hit screws on both sides, I'll tell you what to do. Screw a couple pieces of block to the rafter on on one side. If you have to on both sides and then center it and then screw it down into the 2 blocks. I will do that before you start putting your you're hangers-on it. And screw down to the roof because if you know where you want Em. Position link wise. You could put those things down blocks on the side of their screw into both blocks and it'll be more than sturdy that way

I confess i held my breath while y'all were putting the roof panels up there. My husband and stepson did a porch roof out of the same kind of metal panels and the son wasnt wearing gloves and pushed the edge of one of those panels under his thumb nail up to the first joint😮 Glad tou all got through it safely and wiw, what a beautiful job!!!❤

Yay, solar panels! The metal roofing looks awesome. I like the plants you planted Ashley! That solar panel track mounting system is cool! So it's an Iron Ridge solar panel mounting system. Yay, circuit breakers switched back on and double the wattage! Thanks for the update of putting on the ridge cap rain guard from the container roof to the awning roof and that you were going to paint the container roof with white elastomeric paint. I am looking forward to the full build video! I love the names of the people up on the wall inside and the plate on top about the "Legend Dairy Goat Barn Build Supporters." Thanks for this wonderful video Longnecker family! The kittens are so cute and it's great that their mom is using the goat barn too!

Love this, it's so important for the future that more people start to recognise the damage that is being done by modern industrial practices. Like you guys cost was a huge factor for us, but we had the opportunity to get a very old house for a lot less, the building is at least 300 years old and is a traditional stone building. Unfortunately around 40 years ago it was upgraded with modern materials so we are now stripping those back and putting back the lime pointing, render and paint that helps these buildings breathe and last. Have you looked into using lime on your buildings?

Next time look for Bi-Ficial (both top and bottom.. that can be mounted painted white on tin roof so both sides of the solar will continue to produce electriity).. dual glassed N-Type (N-Type produces 24.57ah per day.. then the other monocrystaline solar panels that produce about 22.32ah per day.. the other effecient reasons is.. they are high grade.. say 850w max on 1solar panel... they are also IPS68 that is water/hail and snow proof... N-type can also produce electricity at night or low light.. meaning they work effectiently on cloudy days or at night.. (that why some times they are known as moonlight panels) i recently changed my 14 100w monocrystaline to 2 530w N-type solar panels.. take up less space and more to add while using the same 1.5kw hybrid inverter.. (grid-tied and offgrid in 1)
