Adali is officially a young adult woman 🎉😊 She has her very own little bed/sit and is independent. I think handsome boy, 💙CLOUD💙 has decided that he needs to guard and keep her safe ❤🤗 so he's already found his place. This is so exciting. Adali is going to love dressing her little space as she wants it. Wishing her many happy peaceful hours in her own place 💕

Hi Ash, Jon and family, just a thought about you comment about soil moisture barrier in the desert; lay plastic on the ground and lift it after a couple of days. Check the moisture under it and that will answer your comment. Cloud’s new home is coming along beautifully. Adeline has some negotiating to do to make it her room. I have a post hole digger similar to what you have. I can’t remember if I offered this suggestion before; I made a cantilever wheeled stand for the digger. The digger is in a gymbal set up. It makes it easier and safer to start the machine. Mine used to kick and become unwieldy when starting. May be a project for an off day.
Also I have a doodle, an Ozzie cobber so I know what you mean. I have been working on a small project and had boxes of screws etc near me but I didn’t pay attention to the boy. I looked to see what he was up to, jumping and throwing those screw containers like toys. I spent a few hours running a magnet over the grass to pick up all screws. They are quite a mischievous mix.

From watching the videos I get the impression that super adobe is much more labor intensive than hyper. Will you eventually do a breakdown and comparison between the two techniques? Isn't Casa de Caca close enough in size that you could compare the two?

Have you seen the research about bi facial vertically mounted solar panels? Could be a good thing to work into your overall plan as you progress on your house. Oriented east-west, they generate power earlier in the morning and later in the evening, stay cooler & therefore more efficient, and can be combined with garden/crop plantings as they allow access and provide shade. Good work on the goat barn and Adelai’s room. It has been a lot of fun watching the progress. Thank you all ❤

I heard of a gate that you might be interested in. In Australia they invented a gate that uses the weight of a vehicle to open. The gate automatically opens with the vehicles weight. It uses a lifting ramp to open the gate the weight of the vehicles holes gate open for 7 seconds while you drive thought.
#Jonathon hey buddy, I've had to dig a few trenches if you take your post hole digger and say you got a dig a trench 8 inches deep used to one of the smaller bitch that you need and just dig a whole bunch of holes next to each other in line and then you can clean them out and have a trench really easy without a lot of pick work

the vapor barrier is for the moisture coming out of the ground, not water seeping in from a flood or whatever (altho it doesnt hurt)
The only time moisture would be coming out of the ground here is when there is a monsoon.
