  • Don't Police have anything better to do? Yes, they certainly do!
    Car rallies are under intense scrutiny as police crack down on illegal activities because of noise, fights, dangerous stunts, and more.
    This video explores why these rallies are being shut down and stresses the importance of responsible behaviour to keep these events safe and legal for everyone, but it goes even deeper. Parties which take place at night in parks or playgrounds, letting off fireworks in a dangerous way, the onus is on you and your peers to tell one another to smarten up.

    Thank you for another informative video, Mr. Randy.
    Sadly, no one cares about that. People of all ages-youth, teens, the elderly, and even the very old-are littering the environment. I have witnessed this in action. Also, car rallies are a problem. Almost every day, I see vehicles that exemplify reckless driving and often cause accidents. These drivers are often the children of rich people or rich people themselves who never care about costs or other people’s health.
    I know people who litter every day on highways or in neighborhoods. They throw bottles or food waste from their windows while they drive. I have asked them why they do this. They said Canada deserves it because it takes too much in taxes. These are awful words. They came to Canada, found peace, and this is their payback. Sadly, no one seems to care about environmental protection.

    You need to come to Chatham’s Retro Fest in May if you want to see cars. They come from everywhere. It’s sad the lack of respect for others people’s property.

    Another very interesting video Randy. I greatly dislike car rallies. It's all about entitlement and stupidity. Those taking part don't care about anyone but themselves. They cause all kinds of trouble so the police have to step in. I hate that families have to deal with the results - broken glass, garbage etc.
    Because of the misuse of fireworks, causing personal injury, many municipalities have banned them unless they are run by the municipality and only on certain days. That's what happened where I used to live. Here, citizens can apply for permits with certain conditions. And the fire dept. will check on the location the night the fireworks are being used

    My folks live up in Wasaga Beach and have had to deal with these car rallies from Toronto hooligans visiting their small town. It seems since the pandemic ended, a lot of people have exposed their crazy, entitled jerkiness. I feel so badly for the Police having to deal with all this. I agree, they don't have the time to deal with it.

      Takeovers, not "car rallies", and that was started by a group from Quebec, not Toronto. It's also not the car community doing it. You can tell by the overwhelming attendance of unmodified, clapped out trucks and exonoboxes in all the photos and videos those idiots post of themselves. There's no reason it should effect the car community when they're just trying to socialize or anyone trying to get to the track in Grand Bend that OPP apparenty forgot was there.

    Admiring cars in a parking lot is perfectly fine as long as they have consent to be there and are behaving properly.
    Take it to the track people if you want to race.

    Friendship is using people to them so they could care less they have no fear of the law and think that my Rich parents will take care of it for me lol so when they are laying in the hospital crying to mommy maybe they might think twice oh well sure natural selection is here for a reason 😊 good for people who are doing it right and the aftermath for the others is very frustrating for sure informative as always ❤ I would be very mad if my kids got hurt because of glass or my dogs yep

    Yes-isn’t it a form of vandalism if it impacts other people’s right to enjoy public property and spaces? The noise pollution too! Fireworks are out of control. Poor dogs-many hate it and kids too. But also driving and hearing a revved up engine is beyond startling. Not the place for it. There are track driving places in Ontario for that right? I hate hearing it in the city.

    Car clubs that get together and have car shows are okay. These car clubs also go on rides together on outings and gather at places like at the coast down here at the Gulf. These are ok too. What is wrong is when these young people start gathering in shopping center parking lots after hours. They also are doing these things like blocking streets so they can do donuts in the intersection and drag race down the street. We don't need these kind of things drawing our police services away from more important things and we certainly don't need these young people throwing rocks, bottles or anything else at our police officers. Why can't they gather without causing chaos for everyone?

    There is a reason why cops are to serve and protect. People who say that the cops are misused in these car rallies are people who have no idea how unpredictable these crimes can occur. Loitering, assaults, vandalism and so forth are prevalent. People have no respect or authority for one other. The times have changed for the worst for the mores have changed. Having a car rally is OK provided there is ample advertising and also cops can be easily dispatched when needed. Better yet, have the cops doing their "recruitment" or "show and tells" for the general public and drop everything in the event sometime DOES go down. Besides, more and more recruiters are having a hard time recruiting people to be cops. Try not only OPP or the municipal police forces but also the RCMP and have the general public understand what these police forces are and what roles they place. I would love to try out the vest and belts one day at one of those show and tells....

      Are you serious? Do you put out advertizements and have a police chaperone every time you hang out with friends? I'm willing to bet you don't. These bans are dragnets put out by politicians who don't care about people enough to focus on the small group of trouble makers and enforced by cops who have the exact same mentallity. It's like going after every group of motorcyclist because politicians and police think they're all the same as 3 patch clubs. There's ABSOLUTELY no effort to decern between a group of like minded people just socializing and the thing they're actually trying to control.

  • @lb9gta307
    @lb9gta307 Месяц назад

    A large problem is that these bans don't discern between people just gathering to enjoy a common interest and the people causing problem. Ffs, stop calling everything a "car rally". What you're claiming to want to control are takeovers. What has been banned are meets. Car rallies are driving events comprised of timed stages. And this is after many years of bogus ticket blitzes on vehicle equipement that officers are not quallified to inspect but empowered to ticket based on their uneducated opinion, in many cases targeting registered and insured shows and official track events. For example, I've seen YRP proudly post on their social media that they issued a ticket for completely stock ecause. It's rediculous. You don't go after a bunch of retirees on Goldwings because of what the crotchrocket squids do with this same energy. Target the laws and the enforcement. This dragnet approch, forcing a community to beg for you permission just to hang out, is total nonsense.

    • @OfficerArsenault
      @OfficerArsenault  Месяц назад

      Yeah I know, the term rally is what was used by media, but there’s a huge difference. Really, this will be what is concentrated on, 90 percent of enthusiasts and meet ups won’t be affected.

    Ya, but if I'm driving on the road with a 1969 comero, that's straight piped massive tires ect the cops don't look/harass the driver. But if I'm driving a 90s JDM car that's lowered with an exhaust, I'm a villain. We are not all S#!T heads looking to race or act like fools. Every time I take a cruise in my 90s JDM car, I feel like I work for the cartels smuggling narcotics 😢

    Car rallies should be only for nice cars like classic muscle cars and ferrari clubs. Anything else is a joke. Nobody wants to see your lexus or bmw my kids drive.
