      No your should never ask a lawyer unless is really important. Here’s why… (example)
      You: hey Is this legal
      Cop: no :) have a nice day.
      Now
      You: is this legal?
      Lawyer: idk man let me check…
      (two days later)
      Lawyer: no it’s not… that’ll be 1500$ for my lawyer work.

    • @paulbunyan6024
      @paulbunyan6024 Год назад +3

      It's probably better to simply not do things that raise the attention of law enforcement. If it's a fine line you're going to waste police time and cause a confrontation that could get out of hand(not justifying prideful cops but prideful people will always exist in every profession). Whether legal or not it's better for everyone if you don't create unecessary situations.
      What you need to ask yourself is, would it be unreasonable for police to approach me in the first place?
      For example, if you drink non-alcoholic beer it's best not to drink it while driving because of the obvious implication. These are things people only do if they are looking for trouble. The fact that you made an officer waste their time can be enough to make them get unreasonable and overstep their bounds. Then what? Sue them and act like a hero? They'd be taking taxpayer money because they wanted to act irresponsibly. Making it harder for police to enforce laws and further destroy public relations.
      I know America is the land of the free but have some common sense and respect. If people did that while still holding police accountable for their obvious wrongdoings we'd see a much more functional society.
      Clearly anyone who wants a cop car look alike is interested in some form of authority over other drivers. Whether to simply make them give way or worse. If it's purely to look at then you can keep it at home. If not maybe you should earn the right to drive a real cop car if you like the idea so much.

      Not sure if you know this, but felonies are federal... like not local. Impersonating a police officer is a class 4 felony. Your local laws don't override federal laws... now there is the option your not from America, if so, cool I guess. You may want to at least Google your ideas before just posting on the internet...
      Edit: Since so many people have issues reading comments, I address my mistake in a reply. I typed felony and was meaning federal offence. Whether or not impersonating a lower officer is included or not is not clear in the code for federal officers, look up the wording. Yes, I said felony, I could just edit my comment and fix it, but it was a mistake and it is what it is. No reason to hide a mistake.
