Was a true pleasure to see the video Steve. Thank you for collaborating with Ness to share this awesome video and I also posted Ness's upload up on the Neo-Geo thread over on the forums on AtariAge for others to enjoy the vid as well. Thank you as always Steve. 8^) Anthony..
Such a great run down of a great system and how to get back into again without a second mortgage. Excellent work gentlemen...sub'd to both channels as a result. Well done all around...or BZ as my Navy friends would say.
Retro inspired me a couple weeks back to get back into Neo Geo, so I grabbed the Arcade Pro Stick. One Day I do plan to own a copy of Magician Lord for my shelf. I used to play that game every chance I got as a kid. Love the content, guys.
Alright!! It's my man Glynn. Glad you stop by Ness's channel to see his latest Neo-Geo upload. What's new with you bro.? I need to see your Neo-Geo Love videos soon kind sir. 8^) Anthony..
I remember seeing Ghost Pilots in an ad in a GamePro magazine I got. I was like WOW! The ad also had Strider for the SuperGrafx pc engine. I think that same GamePro had an ad for Magician Lord and Ninja Combat. I have to go up in my attic and find it now. lol.
What a fantastic video this is Ness. Thank you for sharing it and glad Steve was part of the awesome adventure of Neo-Geo collecting kind sir. I would like to share you video up on the Neo-Geo thread. But I'm receiving a message saying "The video couldn't be embedded because RUclips doesn't allow embedding of that video". Would you be able to rectify this issue bro? Anthony..
27 years ago was definitely the time to collect these games. I love hearing the stories of folks finding old new stock for 20-50 bucks. How times have changed.
I started mine from Ali Express picking up the authentic common cheaper games like Fatal Fury, Samurai Shodown, King of Fighters, an MVS to AES adaptor since MVS games are cheaper and then the Multicart. As for the console, i baught a junk Neo Geo AES. It worked and it was a nice deal with the Arcade Stick. Also had a Neo Geo CD pad laying around as i previously had a CD but sold it. I was considering consolising an MVS using the Open MVS Kit. Which is also another great option, but i could not pass up the AES deal i found on eBay and went with the AES instead. Especially with it being sold as Junk for just over 200 from Japan.
To all the kids watching this please don't go broke trying to keep up with these game collectors I'm sure these guys get paid multiple ways and can afford buying these me myself I'm a collector but I'm cheap and get my stuff in the wild or get crazy deals if you got it go for it but if you don't take your time and put all your priorities first god bless you all!!! 🙏
I couldn't have said this better myself! I completely agree. This is definitely not a console that every one should collect for. Its a great console with some awesome games everyone should try for sure whatever is the least expensive option go for it.
I agree, deals can be found, i suggest, emulation, fpga’s or multicarts/flashcarts if you managed to snag the console. Going for a Complete collection just isn’t a realistic option for most. You can get the common titles, may be able top the collection to around 15 or so games including MVS Carts with the AES adaptor but beyond that it gets expensive with games like Metal Slug, Magician Lord, Destroy All Monsters, and even Top Hunter and Drift King, even the CD version has shot up in value. Just find another way to play them.
@@lopony7944 Lol there is also Deliveries and Uber or eBaying on the side. Just do a crap ton of that and you can get more from that than from overtime.
The only game I wish I could own is Garou. I mean it’s the GOAT and culmination of everything SNK embodies to me and refined masterfully. That’s really the only game in that tier I would try for.
Is complicated for me undestand you, because mi english es very bad. But, was a great video and I hope more information about Neo Geo. Greatings from Mex!
Well dayum....ya'll have inspired me to bust open my bank account and start collecting Neo Geo games to go with my console. Thanks a lot. That was sarcasm btw....Lol. Just kidding. Also, $100 - $500.00 is affordable for games. I saw a Metal Slug CIB for 5k. I thought that was the going rate for Neo Geo games. So, I learned something today. I love it! Good vid.
Thanks for having me on YA RICH *** 🤑 lol. This was fun
LOL! Thanks for stopping by Bro! I had a great time.
