B-Hop fighting skills obviously begin with headbutts, rabbit punches, and low blows, and culminate in Oscar-worthy play-acting and double standards. Not impressive.
Maybe watch more Hopkins then, not ther most enjoyable to watch but ya dont get wins over Trinidad/Delahoya/wright/Pascal,Johnson,Pavlik etc etc without being great, and yes hes also a vert dirty fighter who knows all the tricks, but if thats all he used he wouldnt be a great at all because thats not nearly enough to win elite level fights, let alone like 15-20 of them over 25+ year career,Roy Jones jr was better though prime for prime thats for sure.

@@realrhycethoughts3578 Jones is one of the best ever as far as talent goes. In my opinion B-Hop was a better champion. He was great into his 40s!! They are on similar levels, so to me it's a coin flip of "who is better". They are 1-1 head to head. Plus consider the records as well.

No Joe Calzaghe is the GOAT.... Everyone cries that Jones Jr was past his prime when they fought, but so was Calzaghe, his hands were so bad he hadn't sparred 1 round or hit a heavy bag in 3+ years, and immediately retired after the fight. Just ask Eubank how hard he used to hit, VS the Kessler-Hopkins-Jones fights. Big difference. I doubt ANY fighter in any era of middleweight/super middle/LHeavyweight can keep up with the excruciating pace that Calzaghe puts on you, swamps you with 120 punches a round, and eventually breaks you by the 9th-10th round and piles up a point scorecard win.
Hopkins fought a very dirty fight here. He was throwing low blows, rabbit punching, and hitting on the break. the entire fight. And then he falls to the canvas in a heap when Jones gives it back. Unreal.

Nah....even with the dirty boxing, BHop was the better fighter that day. Jones relied alot on speed and reflex, which had gone waaaay down before this fight. Bhop is a technical/defensive counterpuncher. He should win that match.
Daveyboy _ he did that in retaliation because the ref kept saying “it’s accidental”. Hop had about 6 “accidental” blows by the time Roy did it back to him
Yeah, I was trying to watch this over again just to see how Hopkins managed to win this one. So many low blows and headbutting but when Roy Jones does a small bit of it Hopkins is on the floor dying. Really ridiculous. It was difficult to watch.
It’s crazy how great BHop was but even so when Roy was in his prime he was levels above the executioner. At 33yrs old I’ve yet to watch a boxer better than Roy.
@DaaBoys2138, "I've yet to watch a boxer better than Roy"....Really dude? You should have a look at a middleweight name Ray Robinson, nickname Sugar, because he fought so sweet. Forget Roy, with his 75 bouts, 66 wins, 47 by K.O. and 9 losses, forget about B Hop, with his 67 bouts, 55 wins, 32 by K.O. and 8 losses, 2 N.C....Ray Robinson was 85 and 0 as an amateur, 69 were K.O.'s. And had 201 professional bouts, 174 wins, 109 by K.O. 19 losses, and 6 N.C....You heard of the Di Niro film Raging Bull, well this was the guy that beat the piss out of the Raging Bull 5 times out of 6 fights. From 1943 to 1951, Robinson went unbeaten in 91 fights. He was 6 times Golden Gloves champion, and won world titles fives times at different weights, but mainly fought middleweight. Dude, Roy Jones couldn't lace up Robinson's boots man. Robinson pulled out of a world title fight, because he said he dreamt that he killed his opponent. He was forced to fight, and won the fight on points. Later his opponent died in hospital. He was refused his first crack at welterweight world title, because he wouldn't go along with the Mafia, who controlled the boxing game. Dude, the guy is a fucking legend, probably the best, by far, that ever fought at any weight.
As a former boxer.. boxers use their heads and elbows as weapons to win over a fighter as a last resort... Holyfield , Hopkins , Mayweather...it's a dirty trick but its legal.
You sir are correct. One former boxer to another. I may or may not have stepped on a foot or 2 to land a good right hand. I never purposely missed with a hook and land the elbow instead but it happens..i did drop my elbows down hard when my opponent rushed to the body. I wasn't a dirty fighter but like you said crap happens in the ring.. "Everybody has a gameplan until they get punched in the face-Mike Tyson

This fight needed an assertive Referee. Hitting the back of the head and headbutts galore. A few low blows as well. Hopkins needed a point deductions. Hell, some refs would've disqualified him. When the Ref isn't assertive Hopkins always pulls this shit.
For those saying Hopkins should’ve been penalized for his penalties, I said the same about Ali when he used to habitually hold the back of his opponents heads when they were whooping him up. But people said otherwise due to their appreciation or over appreciation for Ali based on his out of the ring shit
Hopkins had far better boxing skills but in their primes Jones physical talents made up for it. When those physical gifts went away it was shown that Hopkins was the superior boxer
I love the old Roy Jones Jr. I wish the man didn’t lose that invincibility he once had. It’s just unfortunate for some of the best fighters to deteriorate just before getting passed their primes especially as incredible as Roy. Love him and Iron Mike but Tyson is a true monster. I wanna see him fight David Tua instead, I hope Tua gets in shape and make a comeback ‘coz he’s practically the same cut as Mike. Natural born strength who defies aging.

Joe Smith gave Bern Hop a good sending off in his last fight. Poetic justice.
@Leo theChibowow What fight did you watch? Your man fell headfirst out of the ring.
@@casualenjoyer5420Playing possum lol
Yeah he fought an old man. Coward.
Бернард папутал ринг со сценой. Браво он хороший актёр прям слезами выпрашивал победу
Nan please Roy Jones is a "Boxing God". End of discussion. GOAT!!!
What about joe C?
lol
Scott, I agree. When both were at their very best, Hopkins would be lucky to go 10 rounds with Roy. Funny how early in his career the Olympics screwed Roy, and later in his career, he was screwed again by fighting too long.
2 Legendary Fighters right here B-Hop never ducked ANYBODY he always had a heart of a lion but Roy Jones Jr. was special in his prime you'll never see another fighter like him
2002 - Hopkins Ducked Calzaghe at 168. 100% - He turned down $3m and a fight in Wales. So Frank Warren came back
with $4m and said 'lets have it in America"
Hopkins said yes.
Then a day later, pulled out. No reason given
Thats ducking
Hopkins kept ducking so he could then standup and head butt. He is one of the worst cheaters in boxing history.
Calzhagi beat them both on USA soil with USA judges ,different class ,retired unbeaten...NO ORDINARY JOE
Back watching Bernard, God was he a dirty fighter sometimes. He would do anything to win to like jump on the ground from a hit that did nothing.
Benard Hopkins vs. Evander Holyfeild
Let's make it happen.
😂😂😂
Shut up and take my money!
!
Lmaooooo headbutt match
Headbutt vs headbutt
Will they even need their gloves?
Head butts elbows low blows. Damn bhop smh
All the flops too so he could rest and escape the heat. Smh. Only true losers win the wrong way. As a man, BHop should be embarrassed.
Win that's all..
B-Hop fighting skills obviously begin with headbutts, rabbit punches, and low blows, and culminate in Oscar-worthy play-acting and double standards.
Not impressive.
If you are/were a world champion, Hopkins might care about what does, or does not, impress you.
I'm impressed I agree about being dirty, but it's impressive that he manages to get away with it. He does anything and everything to get the win.
@@javiercasillas6133 Nothing impressive about cheating. What's the point of rules. Just because too many referees are useless doesn't mean there is any virtue in fooling them. Guys that cheat ultimately just fool themselves. Look at Hopkins now, his bull shit has not made him a happy man. Deep down he knows the truth, that kills in the end. It's just very sad for those he cheats and even sadder for him.
@@TheNYgolfer No virtue in cheating. He only fools himself in the end. See Hopkins now, a deluded bitter man. It's not a matter of who anyone is to criticize. Wrong is never right. Money and fame? They ain't worth shit if you have to lie when you look in the mirror. This bullshit will eat away at most. Those that can live with it - it ends even worse for them.
B Hop, was a dirty fighter. Oh, and a crying baby!👶
And a racist
This was not a boxing match, it was something else.
I was one of the biggest Roy Jones Jr fans around when he lost his first fight by DQ to Montell Griffin, but Jr beat that Ass for him the second fight.
He couldn't do this to Jones in the 90's though.
Thats because he was "Ster-roid Jones" back in his prime in the 90's.
Jones fought really timid and gun shy in their first fight. Bernard improved and bounced back
@1 0f tha Watchmen You don't need to be born in the 90's to know what happened in the 90's you dumbass, there's plenty of boxing fans who talk about guys like Robinson, how many of them were around during the 40's?
@@AaronEstebanSEO Have you got any proof that he was on steroids? For all we know, Hopkins could have been juicing too.
@@H.K.5 he has none and there is none. Jones was just a freak of nature for how fast he was.
in their primes Roy schooled him. That's all that matters.
Bernard Hopkins was much better for a longer time. Therefore, they have different primes technically. These are two excellent fighters and they beat each other. Let's recognize both great boxers in this fight.
@@davdooo-k9w well one is arguably the best ever and that's Jones.
Even though Hopkins was 28 in that fight, that wasn't him at his best. The best Hopkins was in his late 30s when he beat Trinidad and De La Hoya.
He’s was on drugs lol
Hopkins had some legendary low blows, head butts, and rabbit punches
I remember saying a hundred times that this was a poor referring job. I would have deducted a couple of points to Bhop.
Refereeing job? 🤔
This Rematch would've been 10x better 15 years sooner
Meh Roy woulda won again
Them boys couldn't see Roy in his day
The editing of this fight is frustrating as hell to watch. I think the creator is a B-Hop fan!
He always Uploads RJJ's fights where he is old and also lost
Obvi.
He fought on a rematch when roy jones carreer about to end.
His career was done after tarver. He really should have went out at heavyweight against ruiz or maybe 1 more against tyson to be 50-1 undefeated. I never counted that bs DQ griffin caused him to get
@@Djuane it didn't griffin caused it, it was himself who punched griffin 2x while on his knee.
Can't wait for Pacquiao Marquez 5 in 2030
😀😂
I’m fucking dying here
Dandie Pascual gadaam I’d pay for it fux
I don’t get what’s the connection with the video
For what? Marquez beat his ass like 3 fights and almost killed him in the last one. The guys here were more evenly paired
Give *Behop* an *Oscar* for his performance at 03:48. Roy Jones Jr. barely touched him at the back of the head.
Roy Jones Jr the legend
No
Hopkins deserves an Academy Award and standing chant and applause
At near 40.... I appreciate dearly how great these guys kept up their fitness.
Yeah its impressive how im shape they are but then again its not because they are athletes.
That thumbnail is perfect for the cause!
B-Hop is a drama queen
He is not that great as he thinks he is. Canelo and ggg much better fighters
I wasnt a fan of B-Hop. Never liked his style, specially on the game fight night champion lol
It was the era for the middle and light heavy class.
Tell me about all that over acting should've gottin him a Oscar😂😂😂
James Bell When was this fight?
People surprised Bernard Hopkins fights dirty when he started as a prison boxer.
Never did like hopkins. He's a dirty street fighter and he leads with his head down. Then when someone hits him with a dirty shot he wants to act like a sensitive female. Every fight with this guy.
Roy Jones Jr. is the Greatest Of All Time. In that Ali voice..
🇵🇷🤘🏾
Can see Jones this whole fight looking like really??? Thinking to himself this dude is dirty and a drama queen.
Benard will beat ya ass
Roy: Flamboyant, speed and showmanship
BHOP: Defense, technician and acting
Hopkins uses everything in that ring low blow tactics working the the ref and the judges working Roy on ropes this guy is a master
B Hop mastered everything in the ring....except fair boxing.
Hopkins fought a very dirty fight here. He was throwing low blows, rabbit punching, and hitting on the break. the entire fight. And then he falls to the canvas in a heap when Jones gives it back. Unreal.
The executioner who always wins by a close decisions. Should be called the mugger!

One of the dirties figther of all time Bernard Hopkins
He learned it in the Philly prison system
he learned it in prison, thats why hes always trying to touch nuts
And the Oscar goes to " B-Hop" and the crowd goes wild
Roy should've won that fight just because how many dirty tactics Hopkins used
Okkgcddffggbuopppp
The truth.
as opposed to the low blows and Rabbit punches by Roy right ? Righhhhhtttt !
Hop had about 6 “accidental” blows by the time Roy did it back to him
Ref was poor, Bernard Hopkins hot away with so many fouls
Yeah, I was trying to watch this over again just to see how Hopkins managed to win this one. So many low blows and headbutting but when Roy Jones does a small bit of it Hopkins is on the floor dying. Really ridiculous. It was difficult to watch.
for a cheater like hopkins, his career ended out of the ring head first.
I am a huge B-Hop fan, but that KO by Joe Smith was funny as hell!
Bill Ragz 🤣🤣🤣 facts
And Hopkins claimed he was fouled for days after that fight...go figure.
And the idiot said he was pushed, yet all videos showed a clean blow. Hopkins is a disgrace
😂🤣🤣🤣
Hopkins was a dirty fighter. Everyone talks about how great he was but they never talk about his dirty tactics
Jones is a class act. Hopkins acted like a real bum
JONES WAS A CIRCUS CLOWN IN THE RING. CLASS ACT MY ASS.
B-hop the dirty fighter and a cheat
It’s crazy how great BHop was but even so when Roy was in his prime he was levels above the executioner. At 33yrs old I’ve yet to watch a boxer better than Roy.
Well said. They were both great. Roy faded faster is all
@DaaBoys2138, "I've yet to watch a boxer better than Roy"....Really dude?
Well said sir.. Roy was better than Bernard but his skills declined faster too
@@RSR423 I like to think Muhammad Ali was the greatest but sugar ray Robinson's credentials speak for themself. The man was almost inhumanly good

I never purposely missed with a hook and land the elbow instead but it happens..i did drop my elbows down hard when my opponent rushed to the body. he's a piece of shit. he probably wouldnt have won half the fights he did if he wasn't constantly holding so you cant do shit and hitting them with low blows and headbutts. karma caught up with him in his last fight when he got knocked the fk out of the ring. most satisfying thing i've ever seen.

Exactly, and no surprise he works for golden boy now. He's just thirsty for money, zero integrity, so he's a perfect fit for golden boy
This fight needed an assertive Referee. Hitting the back of the head and headbutts galore. A few low blows as well. Hopkins needed a point deductions. Hell, some refs would've disqualified him. When the Ref isn't assertive Hopkins always pulls this shit.
i agree to you brother..
B Hop should have had a glove on his head, he used it as a weapon the whole fight! Lost respect for B Hop!
Dude learn how to spell
For those saying Hopkins should’ve been penalized for his penalties, I said the same about Ali when he used to habitually hold the back of his opponents heads when they were whooping him up. But people said otherwise due to their appreciation or over appreciation for Ali based on his out of the ring shit
It's not even remotely the same
So one foul is equal to six fouls?
The judges had to be blind to give that fight to Bernard Hopkins! He cheated the whole fight
Ermm! spoiler alert!!!
They both cheated
The judges were doing their job tbh, the referee on the other hand should have been deducting points
This isn’t anything special because Roy was way past his prime at this point😔
B Hop should've retired after the Pavlik fight
They both were past their prime.
So was Bhop
lol they both the same out of their prime.
Hopkins had far better boxing skills but in their primes Jones physical talents made up for it. When those physical gifts went away it was shown that Hopkins was the superior boxer
I'm not going to say he's a genius, but Bernard sure used his head in the ring :)

In their prime Roy Jones destroyed B Hop with one arm! They both was over 40 this fight or closure to it !
