Jones always had a high attitude but even Roy was ko’d very bad
A tito ya le avian tumbado los yesos que mas le esperaba Roy no lo quiso lastimar porque el papa de tito era su amigo ..
Damn it was extremely hard to be a boxer in the 90's. Having to box so many legends back then. 😰
Tito desde Venezuela saludos demostraste ser un gallo fino en esa pelea de caballero felicitaciones aunque sea vieja esa pelea no pasa de moda

Awesome of Roy not to embarrass Tito
could of finish him at any point after the 6th round
Natural 147 vs Natural 175
Lol 😆 what a Joker
True...he show respect for tito, if he want he end the fygth wen he want. Roy wass to much for tito
@@ludinruiz3404
It was 160-175
No 147
He still embarrassed him 💀 🤣.
Interesting to see Jones fight with a very conventional high guard. But it's a very solid looking guard.
I like this fight ❤ very good
Gentlemen can fight to win and still be friends in the end. I think Roy realized early on that Tito doesn’t hit hard enough to hurt him and Tito’s not fast enough to stop his punches. It was just a question of whether Roy wanted to destroy Tito’s career or let the rounds be closer so Tito had a chance to get more paydays.
He’s fighting in a weight class he never did before, similar to Marquez vs Floyd. He ballooned himself 10lbs.
lol cant destroy Titos career lmao. Tito is the undisputed and undefeated 147 and 155lbs champ whos challenging himself by challenging the much bigger ex heavyweight champion. Thats why Tito is loved hes the best at his weight and no one ever beat him in it.
Roy knew it before the fight was signed, that why he was there in the first place
@@laylow96 No one beat RJJ either, who was going up in weight classes as well. At this stage, RJJ being 39 years, tito how old? , It's just a payday for both of them. Jones never would have let anybody hit him like that in his prime. Glad they could both still make it into the ring without a wheelchair.
Titos father keep telling him we got this fight you never say that to a boxer in the ring i blame tito sr but tito did not have the punch for roy ,roy was a trooper, lot's of respect for both boxers.
Tito went up to fight and ex heavy weight champion. Tito hurt dint hug like others instead he fought to challenge himself. My favorite Boxer TITO!!!!!!!!!!!!
He shouldn't have taken that fight in the first place. It's one thing if he took the fight cause he needed money. Just can't see how his team was ok with it.
Both superb boxers, but this fight was just a sparring session, Jones throwing 3 power punches to Trinidad through the whole fight. Just a retirement show for Tito
Trinidad had no business in them weight classes. If he stood at 147/154. He would've been looked at differently today.
Felix was good Jones was great.
Tito had a punchers chance and nothing else. Jones was a different animal even in his later years. He I believe still is the only fighter to plow through so many wight classes. And hold a belt in each of them.
Benard exposed him and he started eating to much. Its called lack of discipline
I have great respect for Roy and Tito . I have seen many of their fights and both of them are great fighters and Champions.
Ned legohn: I feel like Jones should have build
his self up to heavy weight
He would have gave them
HELL. YES he's thas good
Yes he's THAT GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Arthur Marcante was one of best refs !!
See Mayweather v Judah fight .!
The ref Mercante jr. makes me sick. He has a history of talking too much to the fighters. He's always butting in. How in the hell u gonna tell Jones to stop showboating in the corner? Just mind your business, break the fighters when u have to and make sure no one does anything illegal. Smh
Two of my favorite fighters ever. Tito didn’t belong at that weight tho. Roy is my GOAT
RESPECT FOR BOUTH FIGTHERS! INMAZINGS GUYS, TO BE THE FIRST TIME TITO FIGHT 174 IS A BIG PLUS, ROY JONES IS IN ANOTHER LEVEL TO FAST AND TO STRONG FOR TRINIDAD;
BUT TRINIDAD DOING pretty WELL! Congratulations to Roy Jones 👏🙌

Boring because you not the one fighting and takes all those punsh! I understand you bro!

TITO WAS A WELTER WEIGHT PERIOD. ROY JONES IS A NATURAL MIDDLE WEIGHT AND MORE STRONG GREAT FIGHT
Roy's style was the most fun thing to watch. In his prime I think he was the best every day, all day.
For real he was fun to watch
Tito was too small for any weight division higher than 154. Joppy and Mayorga were small guys at 160, but from BHop on you can see that even jabs would effect Tito, his speed was much slower, and everyone was able to out muscle him.
Agreed. He was one of those fighters that was just suited for one weight class. He was too big for 147 and had to kill himself to make the weight, and just simply not strong enough for the real 160lb fighters, like Hopkins. Some guys are just that way. GGG is another example. He's a 160lb fighter, that's it.
@@johnulmerRacing Well said!
Tito and RJJ have the same height 1.80 m

Watch the face-off, Jones is at least 3" taller.
I like how Roy communicates with his corner

Roy Jones was my favorite fighter back when he fought
Roy was my fighter since 1989, but when he didn't stop Tito I knew Joe was going to be difficult vfor him. Roys output had went way down, and you have to out work Joe Calzaki even Benard wasn't active enough to beat Joe. Early on he would have beat Joe especially at 168.
This is boxing as it should be.
Joe was too fast .I think the results would have been the same though
Joe retired undefeated
@@ICEMAN24072 faster than roy jones in his prime Nah buddy
Roy was way past his prime fighting a prime Calzaghe. All the greats lose when they don't know when to retire.
Roy was to big and heavy for Tito.
That fight should not have been made..
I can't believe this fight went as long as it did. Roy carried him the whole way.
100% facts 💪💯💪💯
He came in weighing 40 pounds heavier then Tito. That's why his punches did nothing to Roy.
But they said it's a even fight after six rounds but you said Roy Jones jr carried Trinidad the whole way! My Question what fight was you watching

Tito, like Oscar during that time, never backed down from a challenge from fighters in their prime. Mad respect to him even after the loss.
Roy Jones was far from his prime. Tito either washed out by this time or those controversial hand wraps is what made him stronger then he was bc that’s what he was known for.
