Good video! Was fun to watch I have both a burmese python and a rock python and I can definitely say they have pretty different personalities lol My rock python hisses often but dosent really try to bite anymore, burms are definitely my favorite though
Traitor! lol jk. I love my burms and retics too. I just like my big female Afrock the best. I agree though they are all totally different. Burms ARE the best if you want a big snake to just chill on the couch with though. Handling afrocks is more of an experience in my opinion. I have to pay more attention to what im doing. Maybe thats why i find them so captivating.
As a blood python owner i am both glad and sad to not see it on the list. mine is somewhat cool but and i love it but after years of considering getting one, it is both fragile and fierce at the same time.
I have a burm and find they are similar but bigger, better, easier, than ball pythons. Super chill Not always hiding Only feeds every 4-6 weeks Can free roam without fear of getting lost The stress from worrying about the little snakes getting lost when roaming is why I'll only ever get large snakes from now on. My next is a Scrub python I'll be getting in the spring. The parents are almost 10' long. Same as my burm.
I love big snakes, but mine are bulldozers lol. I had one of my female burms rip apart a bedroom cieling fan and a bathroom light fixture. Ive also had to tear the bottom mesh on my couch to retrieve my 11 or so ft male retic. So they can still get into stuff, and it can be a pain to unwrap long snakes, especially without multiple people. I dont let my snakes freeroam anymore. No matter what size they seem to get into trouble if left alone lol. I let them explore plenty, but now i only do it while i supervise the hell out of them 😅. Scrubs are awesome though! Always loved them but never had one myself. Im also a HUGE fan of Olive pythons, Angolan pythons, and Timor pythons. I havent kept them as pets yet though. To busy raising up Burms, Retics, and Afrocks rightnow. With any luck ill get eggs from all 3 though! Thats my goal anyways.
I would replace the mangrove snake with the russian rat snake, they look awesome as adults and are non venemous, easy to handle and almost as easy to keep as a cornsnake. Somehow they get overlooked by everyone. My first snakes used to be cornsakes and they are awesome as a starter reptile to see how it is to take care of a snake. They do get a bit boring to own after you had some more experience with other snakes and for that reason i would demote them from legendary.
@@gizmosreptiles If i had to place them anywhere i would place them under cool, I would not trust children or some adults to have them as a first snake what makes them drop a bit in rank.
hey, if you have already some experience with reptiles super dwarf retics are awesome retics to have. Make sure you do not have a wild captured one (i had one of those and sucked compared to my other's). Also some other island forms are still great like kayuadi and jampeanus.
I agree with the cornsnake -I adore my albino boy Blaze. And he is very chill once he's out but he always wants to eat my fingers first lmao. It's totally my fault since I've always handed his food to him so I guess he associates my smell with dinner 🤣 He's absolutely the best $30 I ever spent
I'd put Boas in cool at least. You can get them anywhere from Ball Python sized to 12ft+, they also have amazing scale irridescence, lots of morphs, give great side eye and have those cute lil moustaches. I would also put Rainbow Boas in the cool category, they take the scale irridescence to 11, tend to be super chill, usually only get around 5ft or so but are super strong for their size, they're basically mini-Anacondas.
This list makes up for my lizard list. I have 4 corn snakes so I'm pretty effing legendary. However, that might be ruined by my king and corn snakes, KSBs, BCIs, hognose and blood python, it might be saved a little by my ball pythons? 😂😂😂😂
no way did you rank a woma python above a tree python, F Woma are way more aggressive then captive bred tree boa. Speaking from experience of about 40~
This is a difficult question. I guess based on my logic in the video. You're a legendary snake keeper, but then again you're a poser because you don't have a corn snake. Doesn't make much sense, to be honest. But, I don't know if I can trust you anyway.
Ball pythons are way too common in my opinion to be legendary. I also have to disagree with you on corn snakes because every corn snake I've ever had has been a total asshat. You did not cover them but I would personally say carpet pythons belong on legendary
“If falsies get more popular I’ll them up the list”
“Ball pythons are too popular so they lose points”
I know. I even mentioned it in the video and did not change it. I'm as confused as you are.
bci is definively legendary tier, in my opinion.
Yes, IMHO the Boa 'stache and their constantly giving you side eye is cuter than the Ball Python puppy dog face.
Yes, BCI’s are legendary. Not too big, great looking and great temperament in most
Good video! Was fun to watch

Your probably right, I'm just not a huge fan of the larger snakes. They were always going to struggle in me tier list.

@alexcrowder1673 honestly i like both species equally
Might just have a bit bias because I've had my burm for a while longer
I just got my first snake, a baby corn. Absolutely love him. He does like to dart when holding him but, he never even tried to bite.
Great choice, corn snakes are great
As a blood python owner i am both glad and sad to not see it on the list. mine is somewhat cool but and i love it but after years of considering getting one, it is both fragile and fierce at the same time.
yeh, not sure where I would put them honestly. Off the cuff, I would think cool.
I have a burm and find they are similar but bigger, better, easier, than ball pythons.

fair points

Had a corn snake as my first ever pet snake and still have one now
I have two cali kings. Legendary, imo. :D
Fair point
Great video! ❤
Glad you liked it!
my retic is legendary. i love my corn and boa though. warming up to my king and she was my first snake

I looked into Russian Rat Snakes, but was put off by the requirement for a long cold-temp brumation time every winter...
Where would you place the mangrove snake?
@@gizmosreptiles If i had to place them anywhere i would place them under cool, I would not trust children or some adults to have them as a first snake what makes them drop a bit in rank.
Hell yes! Happy to see some RRS love!!
@c5365 you can skip the wintersleep if you don't plan to breed with them
Corn snake are amazing
I would definitely have BCI at legendary. I have had at least half of the snakes on this list and BCI's are the ones I chose to stick to.
That's fair. I'm just not a big fan of larger snakes personally. They were always going to struggle on me tier list.
@@gizmosreptiles 😆
@gizmosreptiles I chose the BCI's because they were big yet not too big to handle by myself full grown.
My Northern Pine is pretty sweet. He fills the role of "Corn Snake" for me. My Rosy Boa is a pill and the only boa that hates to eat.
Pine snakes are cool. Rosy boas are very unique too
Thats some cornsnake ad
I own a 3% share
Kenyan Sand Boa = Legendary Sock Puppet Tier!
hidden sock puppet tier
Are you the old school gizmos reptiles from OG RUclips days you used to have the electric blue geckos ?
I am not unless I am a reincarnation. Which I doubt.
What if i had a corn snake before? Lol i gave mine to my little nephew getting into snakes because of all those good reasons you said.
Same for me😄
You clearly know what a legendary snake is. It might be time to venture into that again, at least for the mental health benefits.
When do cornsnakes mellow out? My yearlings are so strikey! 😢
Maybe try a little more handling for a few weeks. They tend to mellow out pretty quick.
I'm getting a super-dwarf retic and came here to confirm my decision. Must be so good you couldn't even fit it in the tier list.
hey, if you have already some experience with reptiles super dwarf retics are awesome retics to have. Make sure you do not have a wild captured one (i had one of those and sucked compared to my other's). Also some other island forms are still great like kayuadi and jampeanus.
future entry into the tier list confirmed.

Someone who gets it
I was waiting for blood python . for me royals would be higher .
You're probably right about the balls.
no short tails:(
Next time lol

This tier list scale can go to 11
Mangroves are as bitey as ATBs but they get legendary while ATBs get mistake based on attitude? Lol you silly… I do love my corns though ♥️
Drymarchon are definitely legendary.
This list makes up for my lizard list. I have 4 corn snakes so I'm pretty effing legendary. However, that might be ruined by my king and corn snakes, KSBs, BCIs, hognose and blood python, it might be saved a little by my ball pythons? 😂😂😂😂
4 corn snakes, you are one away from being considered a god.
@gizmosreptiles 😂😂😂😂😂
no way did you rank a woma python above a tree python, F Woma are way more aggressive then captive bred tree boa. Speaking from experience of about 40~
Tree boas and tree pythons are different species
@@Neon-triceratops either are more friendly than woma
If one keeps a mangrove snake but has never kept a corn snake, is that person a reptile keeper?
This is a difficult question. I guess based on my logic in the video. You're a legendary snake keeper, but then again you're a poser because you don't have a corn snake. Doesn't make much sense, to be honest. But, I don't know if I can trust you anyway.
I have a corn snake. :3 She is such a beautiful snake too. ^.^
Your Asian Vine snake is not a Asian Vine Snake (Ahaetulla) but a South American Vine snake (Oxybelis).
Yeh, when it comes to licensed photos. I have to use what’s available.
Ball pythons are way too common in my opinion to be legendary. I also have to disagree with you on corn snakes because every corn snake I've ever had has been a total asshat. You did not cover them but I would personally say carpet pythons belong on legendary
Kenyan sand boas should have been placed somewhere below mistake, easily the most pathetic snake of all time
BCI and BCC is not the same thing, ur like an little child who thinks hes brian barzync

Stop spreading misinformation. My amazon tree boa is as chill as my ball python. You just have to know how to handle and interact with them.
This is just a tier list based on my thoughts of what I like or want.
Agree with the Hognose comments, much better than corn snakes
