Painting with a brush is relaxing imo, so I definitely prefer painting with a brush. I only spray if I have to. Also, it might seem weird, but I like the look better when something has been painted with a brush. The slight appearance of brush strokes just gives an older look and I like that.
I got a hand vacuum that is also a blower for Christmas this year and I'm so glad! Best tool ever. Every crafter needs one ,but it's also just handy around the house as well.
This ‘she shed’ came out beautifully! Using windows and the rocks from your neighbor adds so much character to this structure. For the window hinges, I’m loving the ones with the stem/tongue. But the two hinges on this structure addc character. I think it makes it look like some windows came first the other ones were added. Since the windows all have a different ‘age’ they add their own little ‘story’ to the structure. The door even has its own story to tell. As far as the name of this structure, I like She Shed-it’s says owner/user/welcoming/place to visit😀. All in all, I love this structure!
I love how you have a mirror image of yourself auditioning placement of the gold shelves. I like them in the dining room vs kitchen. Love, love the urn with the birds atop! Really love the stool! I really want to try the transfers you use. They add such a statement to anything (stool, metal piece (I forget the name), lantern. Using the dark wax on the stool wound add a great touch! Love your videos, Cindy❤
I’m thinking so like the shelves over on the plate wall too! It was fun creating the video with my double. Give the transfers a try! They add such a nice touch to projects. Thanks for watching Patti🥰🥰
Cindy!!! I love all your thrift store inspiration!!!! Since we moved I've only gone thrifting once and to a garage sale once. There is just so much to do here. BUT we are finally starting to turn our new house into a home and I'm ready to head back out to the thrift stores!!! Thanks for sharing such awesome and creative ideas!!! PS I'm like you, I'd rather paint with a paint brush than spray paint when possible
Hi Aliya! You will get back into thrifting once things settle at your new place. I'm looking forward to watching all that y'all do there! Woohoo for painting with a paintbrush!🥰
Love watching you create! Of all the projects, I think the stool is my favourite...wrapping the transfer down the sides really makes it sparkle. I vote for the dining room for the brackets & plates!
That's a great idea! I have some battery powered pillar candle that would work perfect. Stay tuned - in the coming weeks I will show my dining room refresh and show I used the brackets for now. I could add the candles to them too!
I like to both spray and paint with a brush. It just depends on the project and the finish I want. I live your ideas and the way you present them. Thx!
It depends on what the object is and the look I wanted in which way to paint it. Sometimes the really slick pieces need spray paint. Everything you redid is so beautiful but the urn with the birds is my favorite. I love love birds in decor( or butterflies 🦋) so I tend to gravitate towards anything with birds. So so beautiful.😊❤
Great point Margaret! Like the spray clear coat I sprayed on the stool and the lantern. That was sensible! The urn with the birds is my favorite too! It is one of my all time faves!🥰
I like the small shelves with the vase with birds they look nice together. I like the stools as is, think dark wax would look good too. Everything is beautiful!
Thanks for chiming in Debra! I'm using the stool so much lately! I added a clear coat sealer on the top for extra protection after this video went live. Thanks for watching!😊
Sorry I missed your premiere, but I was still at work, thought I would’ve been home in time. Anyway…. I like your remakes, as usual I find your remakes beautiful! You’ve just inspired me to redo a lantern, I’m trying to add things in my outside patio area. I think the lantern would be perfect! Also, love the transformation of the urn, Cindy, absolutely stunning!
I totally agree with you. I Love painting. It's so calming and therapeutic to me. I'm not a spray paint kinda girl either. I love your creativity and enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing!!!
Girl, I jump from project to project all the time. My ideas develop slowly. Im excited to make a drop cloth apron like the ones you made! Project number 52 in process
We are a project lovin' group!! Yay! You will love that apron. Here is a link to the blog post if you need it. They make great gifts too! www.reinventeddelaware.com/how-to-sew-an-apron-back-wrap-apron/
Wow! You did some great makeovers. Have to agree the tall urn turned out so pretty n I like your idea using the birds nesting in your home made nest for them. I love using antiquing wax on just about every thing I make over. It just gives it more character n it helps it to look older. It also changes the color of your paint for the better. Your lantern/candle holder looks sweet. Adding the transfer n putting gold on the top knob changed it to a whole new piece. I saw a tray this past weekend just like yours but passed it up. Now if I had seen this video last week I would have gotten it cuz it looked so pretty. I could have used my earth brite on it too. You’re so right about it. I’m sure glad that you told us about it as it is great stuff for just anything. My favorite is the stool. The transfers you placed on the seat makes the whole project pop. I also like the paint color umber. It looks so good next to that nice looking table that Steve made for you. That’s the kind of table I need in my craft room. Now that my son n his family are moving back to Florida maybe I can talk him into making me one. Fun n enjoyable video today. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟 PS. Thanks Cindy for sharing 🥰
Hi Shelly! I’m so glad you enjoyed all of the projects. I’m going to use more antiquing wax. It’s so much fun to use. I used to use it all the time and just got out of it now I’m back into it. 😆 if you keep your eye out for another silver tray, I’m sure you’ll find one. I see one almost every time I’m out Thrifting. You must be so excited about your son moving to Florida! I’m sure he will build a table for you. Or maybe you could find a dining table at the thrift store and turn it into a craft table. Thanks so much for watching Shelly. Your support means a lot to me 🥰
When cleaning my brushes, After rinsing and then using ivory bar soap i load the brush with soap and then pinch the end of the bristles and move around to remove any paint that may have gotten into the ferrel. Then rinse well and dry as you do.
I loved them all especially the stool and the transfer but I couldn’t find the one you used I want to transform my stools and table with it as well do you know the theme on transfer so I could find similar one? Thank you for your video I’m surely going to try all your ideas the shelving brackets will look beautiful in your dining area…..
I'm so sorry you couldn't find the exact transfer! I just checked and it looks like they are sold out of that one. You can click this link and scroll through other options. Hopefully you find one that you like! Sorry for my delayed response, we've been building a garden shed! Hope you can watch that video too! Here is the link for the transfer options: bit.ly/3NAh6nJ
The brackets are small and look better in the smaller space, the first scene. As for the stool, I like it without dark wax. What did you do in the end?
Thanks for chiming in about the brackets! They aren't hung yet😊 As for the stool, I think I will leave it with the current look with white wax. I'm really loving it!
I might add a clear topcoat once the wax has cured completely. That should help it last longer. As for sitting on it, it not slippery and so far is working out fine! 😊Thanks for your input!

Thanks for the input about the hinges Patti! They do add character! Thanks for watching 🥰
Dark wax is always the answer :)
Wow those baskets are beautiful. I can't believe you got them for 1.00 each. Great deals.
Me neither! The baskets were definitely the deal of the day 😊
I definitely would choose a paint brush … anytime! I really enjoyed your makeovers! 😊
Thanks so much 😊 Yay for paintbrushes!
I love how you have a mirror image of yourself auditioning placement of the gold shelves. I like them in the dining room vs kitchen. Love, love the urn with the birds atop! Really love the stool! I watched your recent refresh of the dining room, I didn’t realize all of your white dishes, I love the look 🥰
Thanks Mom! I have quite a collection of white ironstone dishes! 🥰
I think dark wax on the stool might muddy the transfer details. It looks nice with the white.
I agree with you! Thanks😊
I would put the brackets/plates in the dining room. The kitchen wall space looks crowded with the brackets. Loved your bloopers!
I agree about the shelves! Glad the blooper brought some enjoyment to you. We all need to chuckle more!😊
The stool is perfect don’t change it. I loved the silver server with the transfer in it. Beautiful
Thank you! I’m keeping the stool as is 😊

I love your sink.❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
Love watching you create! Of all the projects, I think the stool is my favourite...wrapping the transfer down the sides really makes it sparkle. I vote for the dining room for the brackets & plates!
Thanks Mary! Your encouragement means a lot 😊 I’m leaning g towards the dining room for the brackets too!
I would put the 2 brackets in the dining room but top them up with wide candles .
That's a great idea! I have some battery powered pillar candle that would work perfect. Stay tuned - in the coming weeks I will show my dining room refresh and show I used the brackets for now. I could add the candles to them too!
Love the stool
Me too! I'm using it a lot!😊
I like to both spray and paint with a brush. It just depends on the project and the finish I want. I live your ideas and the way you present them. Thx!
That’s a great way to create! Whatever works for that project 😊 So glad you enjoyed the video !
It depends on what the object is and the look I wanted in which way to paint it. Sometimes the really slick pieces need spray paint. I love to watch you because you act so natural. 😊
That's kind of you to say! Talking to a camera when I record is the weirdest thing I do. I try to talk to the camera as though someone is with me 😊
All very nice. Loved the dual image of you displaying the plates. Great camera work. I liked them with the Norman Rockwell print.
Thank you very much!😊
I like the small shelves with the vase with birds they look nice together. I like the stools as is, think dark wax would look good too. Everything is beautiful!
Thanks for chiming in Debra! I'm using the stool so much lately! I added a clear coat sealer on the top for extra protection after this video went live. Thanks for watching!😊
My favorite is the stool, but they all came out beautiful!!❤
Thanks! I am using the stool all the time!

Thanks Donna! You got the replay and that’s all that matters! Stay tuned next week I am redoing my back patio!🥰
I love all of the projects that you just completed now I need to get started spraying weeds 💕
You and me both!!🌱
The brackets turned out great.. I also love the stool. It’s amazing how small updates make such a difference ❤️
I agree! And it's so much fun to recreate the pieces!😊
Definitely I love the stool just the way you have it😁
You and me both!
I totally agree with you. I Love painting. It's so calming and therapeutic to me. I'm not a spray paint kinda girl either. I love your creativity and enjoy your videos. Thank you for sharing!!!

Spray paint is definitely faster...but I like the look of a brush better.....
I agree! 💯
I like the paint brush ☺️
Me too!😊
Great results for all the projects!❤
Thanks so much! 😊
I love the paint brush too! But you paint so much faster than me!! 😂 ❤
I'm sure I speeded up that part of the video! I usually take my time painting because I really enjoy it!
I love that stool, Cindy! Transfers are so much fun!
Yes they are! That stool is getting a ton of use so far!😊
So pretty!! And may I add, the music at the end of your video takes me to a very peaceful place.
Thank you! I’m so glad you enjoyed the music! It’s not easy to find in the day and time😊
Gorgeous flips! I love the urn/vase
Thank you! 😊
Great job. I love them on the kitchen wall, where the other plates are displayed . Beautiful DIYs ❤
Thanks! I’m liking them over there too!😊
I am a spray paint girl all the way!
Woohoo!! It's fun to hear what others use for makeovers! Happy spray painting!
Definitely paint brush. It is so satisfying to me to actually paint by hand.
You and me both girl!! 😊
I like to do both! Brush and spray.
Yay for projects however we like to do them!

The stool is stunning! 🤗
Thanks! Not bad for $6!
Love your upcycled. Thanks for your ideas.Terri
You are so welcome Terri! Thanks for watching!😊
I love your makeovers!! I need that scrubby soap!
Thanks! The scrubby soap is amazing!😊
Love your videos! I am not a fan of all the bight gold but the way you antique the pieces is fantastic !! I really like all you videos!
Thanks Jackie! I wasn't a fan of the bright goldy brass look either but the antqiue wax made it perfect IMHO 😊 Thanks for chiming in!
When cleaning my brushes, After rinsing and then using ivory bar soap i load the brush with soap and then pinch the end of the bristles and move around to remove any paint that may have gotten into the ferrel. Then rinse well and dry as you do.
That’s a great way to clean a brush! Thanks for sharing 😊
I think it looks great with the white wax!
Me too!😊
I think the plate shelves look best on the dining room wall
Thanks for your input!!😊
Love your show! Can't choose which project I like best. Take care and God bless.
Omgoodness, your comment put a smile on my face this morning! Thanks so much 😊
Definitely dining room. Enjoyed!
Glad you enjoyed! I'm pretty sure thats where I will hang them!😊
Dining room wall for the plate sconces.
I agree! 😊 Thank you!
Great video👍👍🙋🏽♀🙋🏽♀ thanks for sharing 😏😉
Thanks for watching! I hope it inspired you to make over some thrift store finds!
Great makeovers!
Thank you! 😊
i prefer a paint brush, but some things just seem to need spraying. Sometimes i spray with a blocker first if I am afraid of bleeding.
Same here - I had to spray the stool and the lantern before I used the paintbrush. Thanks for watching and chiming in the conversation!😊
Spray painting!
Yay for spray painting!😊
Paintbrush over spray any day!
Yay for all the paintbrush lovers in this world!😊
Beautiful
😊 Thank you!
I’m a bit project hopper too! We have to be lol
I agree! Hopping keeps it all interesting 😀
New subscriber.. love your creativity ❤️❤️
Thank you so much 😊 Hope you find inspiration here!
Both😊
Woohoo for both!
I loved them all especially the stool and the transfer but I couldn’t find the one you used I want to transform my stools and table with it as well do you know the theme on transfer so I could find similar one?

I'm so sorry you couldn't find the exact transfer! I just checked and it looks like they are sold out of that one. You can click this link and scroll through other options. Hopefully you find one that you like! Sorry for my delayed response, we've been building a garden shed! Hope you can watch that video too! Here is the link for the transfer options: bit.ly/3NAh6nJ
Between working on the birds and calling the lantern a birdcage, I thought the birds were going in there!
Omgoodness, that would be adorable!! I might have to look for more birds for the lantern/birdcage 🤣
My mom had lots of home interiors products. They were all plastic. Her decorative items that were made from plaster were older.
Thanks for the info. I think these brackets are older because they are not plastic for sure!😊
Use dark wax to make it look used
Love that idea Wanda! 😊 Thanks!
If after you polish the silver, can you top coat it and will it stop it from tarnishing again?
I don’t topcoat it with anything because I like to polish silver and I like the tarnished looked too😊
I would definitely use a paint brush unless it was made of wire.
Same! And I agree - spray paint is best for wire 😊
I wonder how well the wax on the seat of the stool will hold up. I don't think I would want to sit on a waxed surface.
I might add a clear topcoat once the wax has cured completely. That should help it last longer. As for sitting on it, it not slippery and so far is working out fine! 😊Thanks for your input!
Hey! I’m in Delmar DE visiting a friend. Can you suggest some thrift stores in the area that maybe we haven’t visited before. We are familiar with Teen challenge, Nellys and Goodwill. Any other suggestions? Thanks so much.
Hi Shannon - Sorry I am just seeing your comment - I've been spending time with family. Do a quick search for thrift stores in Laurel DE and you will find several good ones! It's a bit north of where you are😊
What was name of the scrub pad you use
The one I used to clean the paintbrushes is called a Scrubby Soap and I have linked in the description below the video if you need one! 😊
I say "No" to the dark wax on the bar stool.
Thank you for chiming in!
Leave the white wax on the stool.
Thanks for the input!
The two wall shelves are not home interior. They are much older. I sold home interiors for years. All of their products were marked sorroco. It was a type of plastic.
Thanks for the info! I think these pieces are older for sure. They are not the type of plasic I have seen on Home Interiors items. Thanks!
Just to clarify, do you mean you are in the STATE of Delaware or a city of Delaware someplace? Because we have a city of Delaware here in Ohio that's not far from me, but visiting your shop in Delaware STATE isn't likely to happen😢.
There are lots of Delawares! I'm in the state of Delaware - we are a teeny tiney state 😊
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks so much!

Thanks!
I hate painting. I don't have the patience. Spray paint whenever I can
Spray painting is a great option! Have fun!🤩
