I'm SO excited to share my latest thrifting adventure with you guys! I couldn't be happier with how the DIYs turned out😍 Thank you so much for watching; y'all are the best 🤍
Instead of having to store the glass from the frame, just put it in the frame behind the picture. The picture will be snug in the frame and the back will close more securely…..just a tip. Nice flips👍👍
Yes love that tip! 🙌🏼 after I filmed the video I went back and put the glass behind it and it worked perfectly. I suppose I should have mentioned that in the vid ☺️ thank you! ❤️
I too like the thrift and DIY. I take the lamp shade to the kitchen sink and wash them with a bit of dawn power wash and and a nail brush to clean them well. Then rinse and put somewhere to .dry.😊
I love that idea! A few people have mentioned this so I think I will try it! Although some of my shades have a paper inside rim🤔 so I’ll have to find one that doesn’t :)
Super impressed with the mod poge pic!!!!!! Never have i seen this done! Thanks for the share❤ your video reduced some anxiety i had this morning. Your calming tone and vibe is awesome!🎉 new sub!!!
You can paint lamp shades too. I liked the table lamp for $14. I love the black frame with gold rub and buff beautiful! Love your decorating the shelf. You have a good eye and very creative.
I recently went to Goodwill and they had a set of clay Pots from Walmart. They were priced a dollar more than brand new at Walmart! I brought it over to an Employee and showed them the picture on the Walmart site!
You have such a great eye 😍😍 I enjoy these so much & I’m loving the deep rich tones! I want that cute little ribbed vase 😩 everything is so beautifully curated.
Thank you friend!! 🤍 I’ve really been into the deep rich tones lately and I’m loving it 😌 can’t wait to keep experimenting with it. Gotta find a good spot for my ribbed vase now 🤔🥰
Hello again!! Loved your thrifting journey ❤. The end results were absolutely beautiful!!! Thank you for sharing ❤ Best wishes from Caroline in the UK x 🇬🇧🇬🇧
New subscriber. Just found your channel. Your shelf turned out beautifully! The lamp looks great with the gold and looks very high end. No one would guess it was thrifted. The frame and print look great too!
You gained new subs, I loved everything ❤️ now, and can you please, please, telling me how to order the print in Walmart, I didn't know that you could do that at Walmart, or was Online? Thanks
Thank you so much! ☺️ You can either order them online on Walmart.com (select “Services” then “Photo Services”). Or you can go into the store and plug your phone into one of their photo machines to print any pictures you want. I hope that helps!
Question about the lamp DIY- do you need to prep the metal to get the paint to stick? And do you need a top coat or fixative after applying the Rub n Buff?
I’m no expert on this, but I didn’t prime it or scuff it up before painting and the paint seemed to adhere just fine. If it wasn’t sticking then I probably would scuff the surface with sand paper first. From what I’ve seen, it’s recommended that you don’t seal rub n buff. I hope this helps! 😊
OMG - I love your videos, you are brilliant. Question, what kind of paper was used in printing the image of flowers from Walmart that you put in the painted frame? Loved it.
I understand through Nick Lewis that silver is the color for 2025. I am not a trendy person and I like what I like ma.ny of the things in my home started off as one color but with the addition of gold or silver paint it's really hard to tell exactly what color it is😅 is it silver is it gold? To me it is perfect! Everything Blends and I'm not stuck into one niche. Some things are outright silver and outright gold and that's working out well. Just thought I'd share that because it's amazing how pretty they look together especially on items that are more ornate and have a raised design I think you're very clever... I learned years back that if you go under gold with red you will get a much more vibrant color and I imagine that if you use a deeper red you will get still a vibrant color but not bright. I tend to use red when I use gold leaf, but of course then I plop all different colors on to get just that right shade
Thank you so much for watching! I love your idea to underpaint gold with red to make it pop more. I’ll have to try that 😊 And I definitely think it’s important to decorate with what makes you happy and not necessarily what’s trending. I can see silver coming back in style, but I do love my gold!✨✨
This was my first time trying this trick and I thought I needed that initial layer, but in hindsight I could have just done the texture directly at first 😊
Try out local thrift stores :) especially ones that benefit animal rescues. I’ve found those usually have better prices than goodwill in my area! And it helps the animals so win win❤️
Well looks like you thrifted a bunch of garage sale rejects & put on your shelf. This is why I’m not a thrifter, it always looks like some else’s old junk. I don’t I have an eye for this stuff, keep watching these videos thinking maybe I’m missing something but I always think the same thing.
You realize most items are fixed or refreshed or changed completely, right? For those who diy, thrift and dollar stores are where people get their “pallets”

Oh I didn't realize this video was 5 months old already! I was looking for thrifters that do crafting and I found you
Welcome! I'm glad you found my channel! 💕🥰
I've had lots of success cleaning lampshades with dish soap and a vegetable brush. I wash them in my kitchen sink and use the sprayer to rinse them.
Thanks for sharing! This particular shade has a paper lining on the edges, but I would love to try your trick on a shade that's all fabric 😊
I use a new paint brush to dust my lampshades and books.. works perfectly..
That’s a great idea!

As a girl named Annastasia who loves thrifting, I'm so glad I came across you!

I use rub n buff all the time. Great!
It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite DIY products! 😍
You can paint lamp shades too. I liked the table lamp for $14. I love the black frame with gold rub and buff beautiful! Love your decorating the shelf. You have a good eye and very creative.
Thank you so much!🥹🥰 I’ve been wanting to try painting one 🤔
That adorable dutch oven could be used for some kind of storage in a craft room! I would not have left it behind.
That's a great idea! I always have post-thrifting regret for the things I didn't get 😭😂
Great gift item too
I love that picture DIY thanks i will try that 🥰
Yay! I’m so glad it inspired you to try it!🥰

You are such an inspiration and encouraging.
Thank you so much! 🥹❤️
I recently went to Goodwill and they had a set of clay Pots from Walmart. They were priced a dollar more than brand new at Walmart! I brought it over to an Employee and showed them the picture on the Walmart site!
Oh wow! 😱 I sure hope they lowered the price for you!
Tell us what happened. Did they lower the price?
yup, I've routinely seen used dollar store items marked for upto $5 at "thrift stores". Buyer beware!
@@vq2vx Same at my goodwill, I don't usually take it to the cashier.
The lamp turned out beautifully and I agree with you using the brown as an undertone instead of the black it is warmer
Yes! 🙌🏼 I loved the brown underneath 😍

Thank you! ☺️
I saw a red sugar skull coffee cup on the shelf 😂😂🥰 love your eye for design and DIY!! ❤️ and I love you!
Ooo I know you would have loved that!☺️😝 thank you so much 🥹 I love you toooo!!❤️
A secret. If you find a stained lamp shade, you can use a damp tea bag blotted evenly to hide stains & looks intentional! ❤️
Such a cool tip! Thank you!🥰
A tip I learned, You can put the lampshade in the dishwasher by itself on the rinse cycle & it should come clean.
Ooo I didn’t know that! My pleated lampshade has paper on the top and bottom seams, but I may try that on an all-fabric shade. Thank you for the tip 😊
@@AnastasiaDesignsThe pleated one can come clean with a Electronic Dust Spray can 👍

I just found your channel and I love it. You are so sweet.Maybe you can do a thrifted bathroom. My bathroom is small and in need of help.
Aw thank you so much!🥰 I’m wanting to redo my guest bathroom on my channel but I’m still working on the design for it! 🤭
You can paint linen, if the stains don't come out of the rectangle lampshade.
I've been wanting to try that out! That's a great idea for that shade if I can't get it clean 😊
Great DIY. You are lucky your thrift store prices are so low. 😊😊
I really like what you did with your goodwill finds. I look forward to more of your thrifted decor ideas. Oh by the way. I just subscribed.
Thank you so much! I’m happy to have you here 😊

I have found that problem at Savers !!! Not my Goodwill yet !!! I live in Idaho !!!
I love your voice and your style! 😇🥰
Aw thank you so much!! ☺️☺️
Buy a can of compressed CO2 to clean your lamp shades-works phenomenally!
That’s a fantastic idea! Thank you! 😊
you NEED to put some dainty pathos propagations in those cream scalloped bowls by the painting and candles. Trust me it's the cherry on top :)
Oooo I loveee this idea!! You’re right, it needs that pop of something natural!🌱 thank you for watching ❤️
It's very nice I love love it ❤
Thank you so much! ☺️
OMG - I love your videos, you are brilliant. Question, what kind of paper was used in printing the image of flowers from Walmart that you put in the painted frame? Loved it.
Ah you’re so sweet!!☺️ I used the matte photo paper option❤️
I’m not a decorator but wonder how the flat gold tray looks with the mod podge picture?

My Goodwill charges about the same as yours for large art !!! Some signed and numbered ones are a little more like $35.00 !!!
Love it🥰
Thank you! 🥰

Those prices are retail price. Shame on you, Goodwill!
good morning great vlog love your pic have a great day
Have you all noticed the Chinese are making some fanastic lamps?
Can you not paint the lamp shades to suit your project? Would Chalk Paint be ok?
I’ve heard of others painting theirs, but I’ve never tried it myself! That would be a cool diy to try sometime :)
Awesome
Thank you Sandra!☺️
Why did you first put modge podge on and not paint directly the texture?
This was my first time trying this trick and I thought I needed that initial layer, but in hindsight I could have just done the texture directly at first 😊
