Put that lamp shade and any other ones from home in the dish washer and run as you would for dishes, same dish soap! Mine turn out like brand new!

I have Illusive green in 2 different rooms and the color changes depending on the natural light. In my kitchen where it has a lot of natural light it looks more gray. In my laundry room it looks dark green/gray because it's darker in there. I hope this helps!!

The only people who want to sit on dining benches are little kids. They are so awkward. The person in the middle is stuck and not having a back and no arms on seating is terrible. But with that being said they ARE adorable and cute. But not functional.

I love the color you ended up chose!!! It might be controversial but seeing the room in the video I thought that it would look great, to paint the ceiling too. If you end up to do that, then keep the windows white. Just a friendly suggestion! ☺️☺️

I would paint out the fireplace your wall color, it will look bigger. I’d also get rid of all those coat hooks. Can you put in a small wardrobe or armoire some where instead for shoes and coats?

It seems the current trend is to saturate a the walls and trim with one color but to me why have the beautiful trim and chair rails only to have them blend into obscurity? People pay a ton of money to add details in a room for a more upscale look. Moody and color saturation becomes stunning when the trim is the same color as the wall only a couple of shades darker or lighter. I agree, the fireplace needs a more creamy shade but make sure to stay away from a yellow tone.

That fireplace is too big for the room. If it were my house I would remove all the bricks and install a fireplace surround mantel. I would put picture frame molding over the mantel and in the rest of room.

I like the way you painted the wainscoting and trim all the same color as the walls. It's easy on the eye and gives the room a more cohesive appearance.

You could add some kind of antiqing glaze on the fireplace bricks. That might darken it enough to blend into the room. Just a possibility!

That Anthropology bowl/lid I wanted for so long. The black was the bigger of the 2 and the smaller one was white. I wanted the large one for so long and it said out of stock everytime I checked, which was often… lol. Then when the smaller one went out of stock a few months later, I kinda thought they were d/c. Ok I hope you see this comment sense I’m a few weeks late to seeing it. I have a question that only you and a couple more creators that I can think of could or would put some thought in to help me figure out what I can use. I purchased 3 different Chinese rice jars that the pictures were of brown pots. I see green ones also, and although green is probably my favorite color, I have a lot of the olive jars and most of them have green at the top. So I had hoped at least 1 would be brown and neither of the companies could tell me what there’s mostly were or could put a note with my order. I’ve found out that besides the shops that show the pics and you order the exact item. You get what you get. So I want to paint one, most people paying the money for these pots would probably never do that. They’re are kinds of distressing and chips in the pot which is what makes them so beautiful and unique. Can you think of a way I could paint it without covering these up. My idea that could work is to put something like Vaseline or maybe play dough that I could pull out before it dries into all the scratches and chips and instead of painting it, maybe do a brown paint wash! Any thoughts you have would be so appreciated! Ty, Trina

Next time: to remove wax easily, put in freezer for a short time. Wax will chip off without leaving the stain. Then wash to clean.

If you can’t get the stains out of the lampshade you could wrap it in linen like you do with your books 😊

Such great finds! I was noticing that your Goodwill prices seem very reasonable. Our local Goodwill used to be this way, but now they’re so overpriced I no longer go very often. Several items are marked even higher than brand new retail stores. I’ve been thrifting since the 1980s so maybe I’m just old fashioned. But even the local community thrift and our ReStore locations have significantly increased their prices. I miss the days when I could bring my daughters thrifting so they could use their “change purse” money to find cute things for themselves. This seems to be a thing of the past.
