i ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way you added things into this enclosure. you utilized every bit off space and it looks SO safe! most of the time, i see people out really small bridges up high with no safety. yours looks great 😁
Thanks, I always try to think of it from the hamsters perspective and safety. I also watch my hamsters when I put them back in their cages and just check everything is ok.
I love this format of videos,I’m planing to get a Slavic plaza for Christmas and I have been doing very good rearching on hamsters and I know they like to burrow so I was wondering where I could buy walls for this cage so my future hamster could burrow.

Also, Pets@home normally have the savic plaza reduced to £55 i think it is, around black friday time. Not sure if they will do that this year due to covid and sales etc. Might be worth looking out for though if you are in the UK.

Where is your driftwood and bedding from? I’ve been looking for some driftwood on amazon but it doesn’t look the right size and the bedding I like to use is kaytee clean and cozy but I’m keen to try out others and I’ve been using carefresh lately but it’s very expensive to buy in big bags

Thank you. you could put it to the left hand side and put the bridge as a hide in the sand bath. Or maybe in front of the house somewhere? Just be careful the hamster can't burrow underneath it and it falls on top of them.
I never do a full clean, I only clean about 1/3 out from the end where they sleep and spread the rest around and top it up. I do this as and when needed, about 6 weeks to 2 months or longer if possible (I go by smell!) I Just spot clean in between. The longer you can leave it the better, less stressful on the hamster.
Awesome. I'm thinking probably Zooplus, but since covid and Brexit they sadly don't stock a lot of things. A good alternative is to check out hopes healthy treats

@@noqueq9003 I think it will depend on the hamster. I'm sure I had one chew some at the base at the back of the cage, and maybe one chewed a bit at the front where the door was and some never chewed any of it, but if they do chewp you can always replace with cardboard which costs nothing. You can also attach to the outside of the cage if you are worried about them chewing, but to be honest I just see it as giving them something to do and easily replaced if they chew them.
Love this set up got my savic plaza today so going to inch sone of your ideas hope you don't mind for my female Syrian how did you find the matting did it get chewed much and what size are the Trixie shelves ?
I don't mind at all, that is entirely why I share my videos. The Trixie shelves are the 28cm ones, you will need to saw the tiniest (and I mean tiniest) little bit off a corner for it to fit the cage. As for chewing the mats, it depends where you put it and what your hamster is like, it's just one of those things that you have to try and then wait to see what happens.
Thanks for your kind words. I use 2 types of grass mats in my cages, 1 is the Trixie natural grass hammock which you can get on zooplus and the other is rosewood boredom breakers chill n chew mat which I got off Amazon. Hope that helps.

Ha ha Lisa. Yes, some of them have a nice life right, nice cosy bedding, lots of things to run through and nice treats to eat :) Sounds like a good life to me.

How often do you do a full clean out
