This just sold me on the Karma. The whole time as I'm watching this video I'm thinking, wow it's only possible to get the aerial shots with that thing. You'd need a separate camera/gimbal to get all of the ground shots. If I was a traveling like that, I'd definitely opt for Karma instead.

I've not seen an option for time-lapse. Though you can record video for the full length of the flight so there would be no reason for time-lapse as you can just speed that up.

the price for portability, it depends the type of user you are, if you are not traveling with it then get a Phantom 4, but for many of us, is about portability, so yes, the image quality is good enough, a Phantom is not portable unless is the only thing you are carrying

Its smaller, more compact just easier to carry around I guess, also I'm guessing its more durable against the elements.
From what I could tell, the phantom 4 does have better footage. the footage is about 75-80 percent as good as the phantom 4.

Phantom 4 already had active tracking.
