It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost 10 years since Mike Evans was drafted! He’s been the Buccaneers key star-studded player ever since he was named a starting receiver!
I honestly thought he was a 10 year vet, every year he was in the league... not a bucs fan so didn't see him too much but he was solid from day 1

Mike Evans is finally getting the respect he deserves 10 years later. The rest of the NFL doesn’t realize how good a young Mike Evans was because he played for the buccaneers.

Mike Evans is probably one of the most underrated receivers ever. The dud puts up 1,000+ receiving yards every year rarely is talked about
It's because he was never the best and a guy like julio and AB were all pro like every year in his era

Funny thing you talk about Julio you can throw in Hopkins and other top WRs in Evans era and nearly all of them are out of the league or backups or no longer elite anymore
while Evans is still going strong and sure they might have the crazy 1500+ seasons over Evans but are way behind in TDs which is the most important stat in football and the hardest stat to accumulate in a long career vs Yards
Evans is nearly 100 TDs and none of the other WRs that most fans would had taken over Evans are even close, You can even date it back to 2009 WRs with the most TDs since 2009 and Evans is still top 3 at 94 despite coming into the league in 2014! i rather have TDs over Yards any day of the week @@andrewfung9340

FWIW: Mike Evans just signed a two-year extension with the Bucs. He got himself more money (Cooper Kupp Dollars) and it still doesn't break the Bucs bank. He might be around 14K yards by the end of the 2025 at this rate.
He has 11k receiving with 2 more seasons since the new contract. If the bucs resign baker mayfield then Evans will prob have 1100+ yard seasons for the next 2 years. I’d say he ends with around 13.7k ish yards

Redskins had a line that was built from wet toilet paper. Right tackle got manhandled every play looked like.
They were how the 49ers o-line would be now without Trent Williams (Trent was hurt this season and missed a lot of action)
@@carsongambaro Hell it was the right tackle who was the turnstile though. I know Trent affects the play of the overall line, but that right tackle couldn’t block a baby from candy.
It's nice that Throwback includes the crawl with live scores. Makes it feel more like a rewatch than a highlight reel.

This was the first season I paid super close attention to football (though I really started with the 2011 playoffs).
Probably the best WR from the 2014 Draft. (Saying probably because there are a couple of other names from that draft who are Superstars).

This coming from a Bucs fan. Evans played on way too many of these types of teams, but he was always playing his hardest & his best every week. He kept himself poised during these times & then when the time came to shine with Brady, he shined like he always did. I'm so happy we got this guy a ring, & I couldn't be happier to see he's still staying a Buc.

Mike Evans has recorded 10 straight 1,000 receiving yards season with some mediocre QBs (Winston, McCown) a good QB (Mayfield) and the G.O.A.T. (Brady).
Plus, Tom Brady helped Mike Evans win a Super Bowl in 2020.

I absolutely hate same-place-finisher games👿👿👿👿. This game should've aired on MASN (Redskins) and Bally Sports Florida and sun (Buccaneers) it's grotesque, grotesque, grotesque and grotesque that this game happened in 2014. Same-place-finisher games (games based on last years standings) should only be allowed to air on regional networks such as Bally sports, NBC sports regional networks, AT&T sportsnet. The NFL really needs to get rid of same-place-finisher games altogether or at the very least don't have them be nationally televised but have them be televised by regional networks
