Nothing like a Porsche but 300k is crazy . My uncle is a CEO of a company . He has a 911 turbo S on order. He drove my g80 m3 recently . Anyways he couldn’t believe it was only 80k 😂. Meanwhile I saved my whole life to pay cash for the car….he could of bought 3 haha.Porsche has become a rich mans world for sure . Hell these people work hard for their money though. Porsche is the pinnacle. I would never even consider the ferrari, lambo, buggati, mclaren world even if I hit the billion dollar powerball lotto .
A used base 911 is still reachable by upper working class. A limited top of the line GTx version was always out of reach for most. In fact more people can afford a Porsche today than 30 years ago.
man that front end is like no other, i have never driven a car where its just like point and shoot, wherever you look is where the car goes. totally different than many 911 before it. that double wishbone transformed the car
I used to watch a lot of your 350r videos and liked them and your views. I just saw this in my feed and it's a great car. I have a 350R fury orange 2018 and a 19 papaya spark 720s performance. For me I love this combo. I wonder your views on the shelby vs a 911 GT3 if it's that much different in engagement? For me I see the used 720s being the best used value car buy able. And I'd say that used mclaren 720s is a comparison shopper car for this except for those with manual gearbox desires. mclaren gives the carbon fiber chassis, arguably best in class steering, and 3000lbs and 770hp with active aero at 220k now. The gt3 at 300k I just can't wrap my head around....yet. if I didn't have a 350r though that I loved....it likely would be in my garage. Anyways great video and beautiful customer car.
Mclaren are incredible machines i like them all check my Artura video from last year. If you desire a manual the GT3 is the upper echelon if you can’t justify the price a GT350R is the ticket
@autofanaticcars i gotta catch up on your videos I will check them out. do you miss your shelby gt350r? I think it's one of my favorite cars of all time. I had this orange viper TA in the picture but sadly got rid of it. As a long time viper fanatic, the shelby gt350r is truly better outside of exotic looks. I must give the gt3 a try as I know you loved your shleby and it seems like the gt3 is a big step up. Cheers
I think the Porsche GT range is just reliably brilliant with the performance just perfect for the mountain pass runs (road) . The manual certainly offers a heightened experience probably the best driving experience money can buy. The 720s has arguably all the right ingredients to be an amazing car however the reliability issues are just hurting the brand and package making the car a real risk to own.
So you're a Lil Peep lover, I see. Good song. I first watched your video on a review of the Stelvio. Your review on it, was the deciding factor in my purchasing a new Stelvio. Now I have a 20' GT350R and a 23' Giulia Quad. 2 cars which I never would have ever considered, or aspired to own, before watching your videos. I guess you've affected my life a fair amount haha!
Great to hear my content influenced you into buying two incredible cars. I definitely miss my GT350R I plan to buy another soon i still have my 23 QV along with all the other cars
Good job. Agree on the seats though they (Andreas P.) say the 992.2 buckets are comfortable. As to the manual vs PDK, it is nice to have both hands on the wheel when you take a rising bumpy curve with a dip at speed. Hold on. Love the Porsche community and now we have the 992.2 to add to the conversation. Price has increased but to me the GT3 is more than a machine, it is art. I can't buy a Monet or Degas, but I can be motivated to work hard for a Porsche. Just wish my wife would let me park in the living room. Thanks again for a great video. RichinHouston. PS. Guards red PDK or the new Oak Green Metallic manual? Both please. Best wishes.
These are amazing cars no doubt. That said, nobody who owns these actually drives them, or puts miles on them. I’m sure there are a few, but watching auctions on them, they all sell with super low miles, both older and newer gens. The car is just too expensive, they end up being garage queens most of them. My guess is they are hard to work on because the engine bay is basically covered, so you have to take them apart to do simple things- so they all go to dealers for service. I had a 997.2 S I drove, all over, and never felt guilty or worried about it, paid right for it with 21k miles on it. I did all the Sevice on it, in my own garage, it was easy to work on. GT3 cars are incredible, but a Lotus, Factory 5 Mark 4, GT350R, or a C8 are also a ton of fun without being stressed about driving it all the time. You could buy a whole garage full of fun sports cars with what these cars go for, this is more like a car you stare at or for bragging rights, about how much money you have. While it’s a drivers car no doubt, I’d much rather have a GT4 at less than half the cost
Great video I always wanted a Porsche since the 80’s,maybe one day if so this gt3touring would be the one.by the way the intro music is perfect who is that?
Agree Phil. We have a few here in Denmark and they are the business. Even in PDK configuration. Absolutely lovely analogue experience. The Rolex of cars. But it comes at a price. I would keep my Giulia Quadrifoglio and let go of the AMG instead.
the AMG GTR is so damn good in it's own right it is one of my favorite cars I ever owned, it is a shame they are not going up in value that does bother me but I still love it. The GT3 Touring is very tempting we will see if I make the switch
Thanks for years of videos and quality detailing products, BIGGER thanks for not using every video as an infomercial for them, THAT'S the way it's done Phil👍👍
I’ve gotta ask man…. How come you don’t have one? Hahahs Been following you since the gt350 (I too have one). Just recently got a 992S as well and kept the Shelby. Such fun cars!

Definitely don’t i just prefer less brake dust because the front wheel barrel cant be cleaned well due to calipers clearance. Overall this car blew me away

I hope whoever buys these things puts a lot of miles on them like the manufacturer intended. Life's too short to spend 300k on a 'driver's car' and only do 4k miles a year.

This is a GT3 variant. You can still get a brand new 911 for $125k, which is dentist money.
In UK post Covid... dentists are now very much doing a LOT of private work... 911 easily affordable.

Most people don't track with carbon ceramic rotors because it's too expensive to replace.
