Bad news Chiefs fans, your team was trash this year. Good news, it allowed you to snag Derrick Thomas in the draft. In my 40 years of watching the NFL, not sure I ever seen a better outside LB not named Lawrence Taylor. RIP Mr. Thomas, you left one helluva legacy.
Carl Peterson was walking around the stadium during this game, taking it in and deciding whether he wanted to take over the team. I don't know if the result of this game helped but it didn't hurt.
I've read that Carl Peterson was meeting with Lamar Hunt during this game about possibly taking over the Chiefs' Front Office. The Chiefs' strong showing helped convince him that a turnaround was possible in Kansas City. The franchise has never been the same since. There have been some occasional downturns, but the entire culture changed when Carl Peterson took over that next year.

Bengals losing once a piece to Houston and Cleveland was under sable. They kpss to Patriots because Boomer threw five interceptions. They loss this one because the defense didn't step up when it needed to
Don Criqui. Always one of the best
Yeah he is.
You bet! ad how about Trumpy calling that punt block 2:09:30
Great partnership.
Marv "the ass grabber" Albert was the G.O.A.T. in my book
It is so weird to see DeBerg, and Okoye, and Neil Smith playing for "not Marty"

Seemed like plenty of good seats were still available.
Perpetually being in the basement and two strikes in ten years will do that for you.

True. Also they shouldn’t have fired John Mackovic after the 86 season.

Lol. One of those players was Nick Lowery. To this day, I’m just not a Lowery person.

DeBerg was better than Esiason.
