Great information. My only question is, what should I do when I'm not doing these exercises? Can I walk regularly or bike or should I just sit and rest all day?

I was thinking in the same way you were explaining about strengthening the opposing side but you went more detailed as to which specific muscles and the angles to put your leg. I did the fix and I feel a lot better standing up.

This video has been the answer to my prayers. I have been dealing with a nagging groin pain for months now, after tweaking it really bad after sprinting when I wasn’t warmed up.
I’ve stayed off it on and off for months, trying to stretch it and massage it periodically, but the pain would just not go away. I can walk around fine, but anytime I try to run again the pain comes shooting back.
These exercises you showed were the first ones I’ve found that really felt like they were targeting the injured muscles. The dozen other videos I looked at just didn’t seem to cut it.
I will check back in a couple weeks to let you know how it goes but I am excited!!

Youre just thorough, extremely educated and selfless as you share this. I have been sending friends your way for 3 or 4 years after you helped me with the wobble walk technique. I need you now, with pain in hip flexor and youre the first one to address groups of muscles, phases of training and I totally love the anatomy talk. As a massage therepist, this jargon, of course, takes me back to massage school and Trail Guides to the Body studies with my "anatomy nerds" who couldnt get enough of it. Thank you in advance. I already know I am going to get well.

    • @CorexcellSportsTrainingRehab

Magnus is not a hip flexor it only adducts. The other adductor muscles are hip flexors and also adductors.

At 4:22 you're talking about the piriformis muscle taking over the work if a leg is not elevated but the piriformis actually changes its orientation in that position becoming an internal rotator and its engagement in abduction in this position is insignificant, so there must be some other muscles taking over the job (my only candidate is the gluteus max) correct me if I'm wrong.
