I'm not keen on using trick decks but my 9 yo son has shown an interest and wants to trick his friends so I bought him a Svengali deck because it's much easier to handle. He loves it and these effects will give him some awesome tricks to show his friends. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! As a long time dedicated hobbyist I've been looking for a quick and professional Svengali tutorial on RUclips for some time now. Watching this I realised I've certainly underestimated this powerful tool, like most of us have. I can tell you have a really good understanding of how to make routines deceptive by mixing methods, adding layers and avoiding the unnatural behaviours that we tend to fall back on when we are too lazy/comfortable to think things through properly. Thank you for this awesome video! :)
WOW! Great stuff, The last effect, stunner all around. 100% amazing material. Thank you for making this and sharing all of your ideas and thoughts with us.
I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and am loving the content. I got a Svengali deck a while back, used it for a few gigs/nights out and then retired it as I found it repetitive (something we should all actively avoid haha) and now you’ve made me want to bust it out and experiment! Teaching tricks and techniques is one thing that many do and few actually do well, but inspiring thought and creativity is rare and welcome. Stay safe and carry on the great work! 🤘🏼
Really enjoyed that Mr sean great video no I've got to get out by deck of svengali cards so I can do those tricks I think the Fantastic again thanks for sharing chat with you soon your friend Billy Simmons
Thanks a lot! I bring with me every day a svengali deck. Some I like to do in dealing card on table for the spectator is to drop down two cards a time, and ask the spectator to tell me when to stop; this way the top card from card on table both on my hand will be, all the time, the force card.
Sean, These are all great tricks! When I am able to purchase a svengali deck someday, I will have to practice these and then perform them! You never fail to amaze me with your content! You are amazing Sean! #Roadto4K!
Great overview Sean and lots of good tips. I'm just having trouble figuring out how you would do 2 tricks in a row since the same card will be selected. Not ideal, although I do like this deck. thoughts anyone?
Hey Sean, I happened to see something at my local magic shop the other day that I thought you might like… how can I get ahold of you to send you something?
I have done something like the second effect in the past. What's nice about the Svengali deck is that you can say, "If you had dealt one more you would've stopped on... [indifferent card]. Or if you had stopped just one card earlier you would have landed on... [another indifferent card]." Pointing that out completely fries their brains!
Hey Sean! I'm thinking of buying the invisible deck trick and I was wondering if you know (or anyone) if its a reusable trick? For example, I know that it uses a sticky coating to make the cards stick together than pop when spread, so if a spectator chooses, lets say, the 10 of hearts since the coating slides after I spread it can I reuse the 10 of hearts again? Basically my question is the Invisible Deck Trick reusable?
I switched to phoenix cards a while ago and you can already easely tell from the back of the cards whether or not it is a forcecard. Realy lets you focus more on performance instead of counting.
nah , i think the best way is to do a throw the cards on the table and let the spectator do a wash shuffle , then take the cards and do a faro to reset and tell the spectator to give a cut . this is the way i use the deck and it really doesnt feel like a svegali deck at all
Amazing vid Sean, that last effect makes me want to go buy a Svengali right now! Just thinking out loud here, I don’t really use Svengali so maybe I missed something but if you take your card out of the deck once you do part 1 of the ACAAN wouldn’t that leave the force cards after that point (16 in the case in the video) in the even numbered positions? So if they named a number larger than 16 there would be an issue? Simple solution would be to put the card back instead of leaving it out. Unless I’m missing something 😂
It actually makes no difference! Since you're doing the even number first, you'll always end up with a force card on top of the deck (1 being an odd number). Then you do your number (which is always odd) to get to the force card everytime. I had to think about this for a minute 🤣
@@SeanDevine Ahaha this is confusing 😂 I agree but it’ll also leave two force cards beside one another at the named even number if you remove the card. So after that point the force cards would be at even numbers no?
@@ReidFerry the deck is cut after the first selection so the force card is already on the top. The only difference is that the last card won t be a random card When they cut the order will still be force random force random to the end of the deck except for the last card which now is a force card
Thanks!
Thank you so much Keith!!!

Super ideas and card tricks ! Thanks for helping to enhance my ideas about a Svengali cards.
Your tutorials are wonderful and even the old ones become reference point. Thank you for sharing with us.
Awesome video! I love that overhand shuffle, never saw it, so cool
I'd like to add that you NEVER have to count while dealing cards down. You can look at the deck to see if there's a short card on top ;)
Man.... This is fantastic. Your videos are always so good, man.
There are some beautiful ideas here! Thanks for sharing.
Another great video - time to have a rummage in my magic box to dig out the Svengali deck
You won't regret it!

This is the best Svengali deck tutorial. Thank you Sean
Was one of my favorite decks. I need to buy a new one. Found some neat tricks that can be done with just two of the regular cards.

#Roadto4K!
The deck itself is actually pretty cheap!
That awkward moment when you're begging for $10 to buy a trick deck of cards....
Great overview Sean and lots of good tips. I'm just having trouble figuring out how you would do 2 tricks in a row since the same card will be selected. Not ideal, although I do like this deck. thoughts anyone?
Great ideas Sean!!! Love it! Would love to hear your ideas on a stripper deck!!

Hey Sean,
I happened to see something at my local magic shop the other day that I thought you might like… how can I get ahold of you to send you something?
Hey! You can get ahold of me through my email, devinemagician@gmail.com
Now I'm very curious!
I don't see any of the links you mention. What I see are shirts for sale and others comments. Are the links in the comments?
You saved the best for last. Super strong trick 🎉❤🎩✨💯
A great video. I’m a little late to the party but any chance you know the name of the Jared Kopf effect using Sven and mem deck? Sounds fascinating.
Yeah! It’s called Any Cards at any Numbers. You can get it as a download on Vanishing Inc
Thank Sean!

Another great tip is turn that deck into a mirage deck so you can do a quick spread. ❤🎉
Just say would you believe YOUR card is the short card?
I don’t get on the double lift you blow the cards and changes
Great ideas!
Man you told something very interesting using this deck... Subscribed
Brilliant!
Bravo.i use the mirage deck.with the stelth wallet miracle can be done with this conbo.

Great tutorial!
Stripper deck please😳

When they cut the order will still be force random force random to the end of the deck except for the last card which now is a force card
It s like as if you removed the last card for them
@@filipehenriques8405 ahh got it now, in my head the deck was assembled the other way leaving the force cards together in the middle. Thanks!
I named my pet rat Sven (after Svengali), and his twin brother is Trilby :D
Just turn it face up and move it from clump to clump.
Good shit!
My name is Svengali. Got a problem with that...
Another smashing tutorial m'friend 👍 still wanna be a participant rather than a spectator though😉
Maybe go to Sea World then and sit right in front😂
YES!!!!!!!
♥️♥️♥️
I've never had anyone work out it's a trick deck.
Who else is here to watch the video to see if the Svengali deck is good 😅😂
