Less than two years on and : 1- More reserves have been found. Countinous exploration is ongoing with Turkiye now owning 5 of the 9 drilling ships on Earth. 2- The gas terminal is almost finished and the ship to be laying the pipes in the shallow part of the sea is in port getting ready. 2 months later the deep sea pipe-laying ship will arrive. They might start testing the whole system starting in late 2022. If by 2023 Turkiye starts using that gas in households, it will be a world record for the shortest time ever to build such a huge complex system. It usually takes between 5-10 years and the Black Sea is pretty much like North Atlantic in terms of roughness.
I was on the land terminal site this week. Undoubtebly the time from discovery to consumption will be at record speed but the gas terminal didn't look nearly done and on site workers are in doubt about the march '23 finalization date. Hats off to Turkey for how well they are handling this large project none the less. On i side note i wonder if Turkey's new position on the energy market has played a part in Putin's decission to invade Ukraine. The economic value of the Balkan pipe was going to deminish anyway so less to lose there.

Conservative Turks operate differently than Arab or Persian conservatives and the remaining 50 55% of the people are your average Joe's when it comes to religion. They have it as their culture
@@omerulger8 it's very sad ..... Actually in Bangladesh Erdogan has many popularity.......after Hagia Sophia it's more rising......I have seen many anti islamic and anti Arab comments from Turks.....yeah hate Arab i don't care....but hate Islam hurts me....but isn't he elected by people?
@@LoveBD153 Majority of Turkey is against the conversion of Hagia Sophia. I personally think it's a power move to cover his weaknesses. He is elected by people, yes. I explained why above
@@omerulger8 ok
*We need much longer version of that intro.*

USA (this sender is not in your contacts): "Hey Turkey..."
Tr:of you want you aceppts the real war but im' never surrender like the indepent war
@Kyro Zephyr yeah because if America did use any more resources there it wouldn’t make sense, they could just send 1 million troops to Afghanistan but it doesn’t matter the us is pulling out anyways
@Kyro Zephyr 100k troops are more than enough 50k is pushing it, there’s like 20-30 military bases close to Afghanistan. America should just pull out and let the Middle East collapses and rebuild itself
2:35 The Location of Erzurum is definitely incorrectly positioned on this map 😅!
Besides that quite nice video.
Good job. 👍
You've quickly become one of my favorite youtubers
USA: good morning students, today we will learn about democrazy.
I can imagine someone in America biting their hand
Me : Oh interesting, new energy resources just found
Also me : welp, it turns out so complicated, but still interesting, even more 😁❤️

Turkey: *Finds largest gas pocket*
USA: "We can add gas to our list? Right?
Also USA: Biraz özgürlük kardeşim?👀
Just so you know, I like your videos before watching them.
The intro music is so satisfying!!!
As you mentioned the reservoir holds gas for just 7 years of Turkey needs, I think it won't be worth going after. Huge setup cost of extraction, laying of pipes and all other costs, will be for nothing after 7 years.
You know if this gas is transported inland then the Turkish lira will strengthen against the dollar. because the billions of Turkish dollars that have been used to buy imported gas remain in Turkey
The political complications of the area makes my head hurt.
i invested in crude oil before the head of turkey announced this live
Excellent job Neo 👍🏻
Love the content. Great job
