My hull is white and I’m def intrigued by hija you painted yours black .. Do you think it’s worth doing and as far as sanding where do I begin to remove the white ? Thanks
hey buddy what type of black paint did u use for the handle bar and the gray for the front gaurd as well as the hang on on the back? was it plastic marine spray? you didnt mention anything.
Hey! One more thing, when I use 80 grit sand paper do I need to use it on the whole jet ski or can I just do the areas that are scratched or messed up?
two questions,, did you roll and tip? and did you thin the paint at all? im using the exact same paint in royal blue and i really like how yours turned out..good job man
I'm looking to possibly sand and paint a 95 Sea Doo SPI. Do you have any advice on how to sand the ski and what type of paint to use. I like hi gloss. I want to paint it Nardo grey
I would just be cautious of what paint you use. Being a jetski it'll most likely scratch fairly easily. I would try and good a good thicker clear coat or actual marine paint your ski.
heya just watched your video and i'm also going to repaint my jetski. What grain size sand paper did you use at start to remove the original paint work? did you the same grain size to smooth out the pinholes when you patched them out? ps: great job
Hitchin Mitch nice I’m working on a Yamaha fox cruiser as well with hull damage redoing the glass n everything got it from boss for 25 % of the actual cost n gonna get rid of it when finished
I would do putty fix if it's only paint damage, but if it's torn through deep enough where fiberglass has been broken that's when I would look at using fiberglass and resin to fix it.

The putty that you use, it's make only for boats or for cars to? Thanks
prior to the puddy application do i also use sand paper 180-220?
Hey if I wanna paint the whole jet ski do I have to sand down the whole jet ski or just sand in the areas I use the icing in? Please let me know!
You will have to sand everything you want to paint so the new paint can adhere to it properly.
Ok what number of sand paper do you think I should use?
@@abbyvalerio3682 I was using 1000-2000 grit sandpaper nothing too crazy

Hey mate can you send me the link where you got that seat cover
What fort is recommend to strip down to primer on bull like he did? Thanks

Didn't thin it at all, and I did roll it. The biggest thing was wet sanding it and buffing it afterwards to really get it perfect.
u didnt show the wet sand! nor did u show first application of paint.
do you think the paint you used can be used for the same exact ski but on the bottom?
They actually make the same paint specific for the bottom hull.
Hey thanks for sharing im working on a 2993 wVerunner I wanted to know what grade is your sand paper and what is that stuff you used for the dents.
Debra Hillius are you from the future?
400-2000 grit is the sand paper I used to smooth everything out.

Or should I get the thing wrapped possibly

The initial sanding I believe I started with 80grot to knock everything down. Everything after that was 400-2000 grit 👍
Hey great video, if you can give us a link for the parts like the icing or the paint that would be great.
Do you buy these skis at auction and then do a flip on them or you just doing for personal use?
I but them from private sellers. Then I'll ride them until I want to get another project.

@@davinbest7933 i always say I will get rid of project vehicles, but I become too attached to them after I spend hours working on them
On decals us a 3m eraser wheel fast cleaner and don't take paint with it
Are u using the ski and if so how’s that filler u used holding up?
Took it out a few times so far, and it's holding up pretty well!
Does that ski have a gel coat ?
I believe Yamaha skis are painted, I had purchased already painted at one point. So I might have had gel coat at one point in its life.
how do you know when you need a fiberglass fix or putty fix?!
