Diego Maradona (2019): Official Trailer | HBO Развлечения
In Naples, he took a nearly delegated team to the championship team in 3 years in the toughest league. This is the achievement no less than that he won the World Cup by himself in 1986.
No one else had done this before. No one can do it in the future.
This is the golden standard for GOAT.
The italian league in the 80s is the best league of all time.
EVERY great player back then played in Italy.
@@xXEliminatorXx99 - I agree but in the 90s Italian serie A dominated the world
Exactly!
My mother is a huge football fan. She's seen Ronaldo Nazario, Ronaldinho and Zinedine Zidane play. She's even witnessed the era of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and to this day maintains that she has never seen a better football player than Diego Armando Maradona of Argentina. Rest easy king🙏👑
She’s right
My father at 72 has seen them all over the last 60 odd years says hand's down no one is close too maradonna the best ever no one had his natural ability, magic and charisma of maradonna at his peak.
Your mom is right,smart lady
Your mother is delusional.
George Best was better.
Imagine if Maradona played in this times, times of massive social networks.
Martin Baggio I always think of that he will be the best period.
In thise time Maradona Is coach in "gimnasia de la plata"
He would be a good player in this modern era but not great
Nah he would have been ban right away due to his drug addiction. Would have been less productive career since more modern strict rules on drugs.
Nah he would still be the same. It's in his dna
He was remarkable. And this humanizes him. He wasn't perfect but he did pay fo it
True brother, people try to make him look as the bad guy now that he's dead, but who is perfect? No one, not even him, and he had a lot of psychological problems
@@JoseGonzalez-wj8zq im not perfect either but i dont hit women
@@user-ge9tm5rr5f neither did diego
@@yourtense there is a video, he is a bad person
John Lennon hit his wife, bit people look at him like he was a bad person. Everyone wanted a piece of him including the Mafia. We can't even imagine the pressures and stress he went through, not even watching this documentary can we even begin to feel what he went through. The guy couldn't leave his house or her get mobbed and he had no security half the time.
At the end of the day he was a footballer first and what a footballer he was. For me, the greatest and I'm an Englishman. He pickpocketed us out of a world cup but his second goal in that game was as good as scoring 2.
One of the best documentaries I've watched in recent memory.
Beethoven in music, Einstein in science, Jordan in basketball, and Maradona in football

Pure genius. One of the greatest geniuses in human history along with Newton, Van Gogh, Mozart ......
I am from Malaysia and I support Argentina in each world cup until today just because of this man.. Saw him in television in 1986 when i was 6 years old and fall in love with the game till today.. The God of Football, the one and only, Diego Armando Maradona..
He was my idol growing up i was only six years old when he won the 1986 world cup i didnt even understand what a world cup was but i had this sudden urge to be just like him i remember when i was a kid i would watch videos of him and then go outside and practice for hours trying to be him and when it was time to shower my parents had to carry me cause i never wanted to go inside What a sad day for the whole football world RIP. To my idol
huge tragedy for football fans, time to rewatch this so i will never forget this guy :)
At least my grandpa finally gets to meet his favorite player
His performance in Mexico will never be equalled. Legend.
Amazing how he never masqueraded himself. Pele is great, but He was always too much political, neutral. He wore a mask about all possible issues. Maradona was the man that couldn't be anyone but himself. Genuine. Authentic.
Grande Jogador.O Melhor.
Pele knew he was role model.
Maradona didn't care that he was a Bad role model. That's the difference..
For Napoli and Argentina he's seen as a God, especially in Napoli where my dad is from, he always told me storys of him and how much joy he gave to Napoli and the fans
RIP Diego Maradona
you will never be forgotten.....
RIP Maradona
He played the way he wanted. He lived the way he wanted. Respect.

I'm Brazilian , I LOVE Diego Maradona
Brazil With Diego Maradona
In Argentina we love Ronaldinho, Ronaldo and Garrincha.
maradona é melhor que Pelé, nao no futebol... mas a personalidade é mil vezes, Pelé nem personalidade tem, um lixo...
Maradona melhor e maior jogador de todos os tempos
Egypt 🇪🇬 love maradon , ronaldinho ,
Maradona was an exceptional player..Those who have seen him play will understand. The touch and skill he had was beyond comparable. The best part of him was his heart and passion..these were something no one else can ever match...quite frankly he was the greatest emotion in football...a man who was so legendary that infact he was unaware of..it takes 30 years after to recognise his talent!!!
Hats off to Asif Kapadia, dude made me cry like a toddler after watching Senna. No biopic will ever come close to that perfection that is the documentary.
@Ron Burgundy Yeah mate, if you look up "Largest Gathering Funerals in the History", Ayrton Senna's attendance is second after Bob Marley. Brazilians are amazing people, got a chance to meet some great people whilst on exchange during college. Hats off to them, they were in their 20s and still knew who Ayrton Senna was. Such is the legend that still lives through this day.
Senna is my favorite, whenever I rewatch King of Kong though i change my mind. Apples and oranges i suppose. Love watching both
@@barfymann362 I would've gone to the funeral if I could. I had to google biggest funerals and clicked wikipedia's list. Wasn't looking to find out you were wrong or anything, and come back and say "(insert standard horrible youtube comment)". But scrolling down from the top it was like all people we've read about in history books, world leaders, dictators, apparently had the biggest funerals. Who knows if those are real or made up, exaggerated, or 100% true. But shortly on into scrolling down the list, Artyon Senna was there. Ive never seen that large of a group of people anywhere in my life. Even a sold out football stadium is nothing compared. That makes me happy. And honestly, the fact that Proust was carrying the casket, I mean, fugh, I found a deeper reservoir of backup tears and flooded my eyes out.
@@johnburn872 3 Million people, I mean...speechless. It's amazing how a person we never met touched so many lives. Interestingly enough, when the FIA investigated the crash; Prost was the one who stood by Senna and blamed Williams. Even in the documentary he admits, that the steering column broke. That was not a corner one makes a mistake one and that speed at which he collided. F1, much like any other organisation; is about money and reputation. They couldn't have allowed such a scandal, especially Williams being as powerful as it was. Karma has come full circle though, from being the leaders to now being the back of the grid in the current season; Williams is a shadow of itself. Ofcourse, only God knows the truth; but it's widely agreed upon that it was an equipment malfunction that caused Senna's collision.
@@barfymann362 yeah I mean without knowing a thing about cars let alone a formula one car, it's pretty clear something broke just by watching the video. Driving that fast you're awareness is so heightened you dont just drive straight into a wall unless something malfunctioned.
I was born in England and as a 13 year old kid, I had never heard Diego Maradona before the 1986 World Cup. I hated him when he knocked the greatest England team since 1966 out of the world cup. That said, within a few years I was mesmerised by his talent and saddened with the non stop violet tackled that he had to endure. I knew back then that he was the greatest footballer to ever play the game and I would still maintain that today. Both Ronaldo and Messi live comparatively pampered existences. Diego was butchered by opposition players and repeatedly cheated by FIFA. He should have won 2 World Cups but was disqualified for taking steroids to recover from the non stop assaults of opposition players.
I've been to Napoli in 2017, people still love him and treat him like a demi-god there.
I've never saw him, because I was born in 99' but he is my favourite player of all time.
Best player of all time ... just legendary in every aspect of his life
That would be Pele
The saddest part of life is when the person who gave you the best memories becomes a memory.
Who is here after his death announcement 🙏🙏💔💔😭😭 another sports legend has left RIP KOBE, RIP DIEGO

Asif Kapadia is an incredible documentary film maker. This project was no exception. I thought it was another masterpiece of sorts. I was always familiar with Maradona... but I had no idea just the level, the depth of his popularity and stardom, how big his story actually was/is. Everything is on another level. You couldn't have written a script with this kind of drama, humour, suspense... simply incredible. I almost shed a tear watching this!
Indeed a great doc....

Maradona did everything in football, a player who will never be repeated, and I love the way he plays and apply it to my sporting life very much. A player who has influenced my entire life. I ask God to give me a son who kicks football like Diego . I am from Saudi Arabia
It's so sad. So sad! Football made him great, big, unforgettable, remarkable. And in the end... football destroyed him😥

He was destined to be very special when I watched him for the first time in the Junior world cup. True legend.
Lucky you!!

Just got done watching, phenomenal. Maradona really was an icon.
And, he also played in an era, when players could assault you, and not even get a yellow card
Could you tell me where i can watch this? Thanks
Back then “Poor people used to play and Rich men would watch the football, Now Rich men play, poor men watch the football”. That’s how time changed in games.!
Same thing with basketball

@Curtis Martin by who? List them
My favorite of all time. The adversity he went through and him defeating his own demons along with his GOD giving ability. Makes him the greatest imo. LEGEND.
Rest in peace, Diego
Saw this in the cinema....it’s absolutely brilliant!!!
I always amazed by how much footage of the little man exist even though he's playing day was 3-4 decades ago. He must have been followed by camera 24/7. You can possibly find a video of Maradona doing any random things lol
They were going to make a film about him that's where the footage comes from.
He was the Micheal Jackson of football. That shit gets to you. He was a very normal person until..... fame!
@@CA-zi1fn I too thought the same
that's because he was the first real football superstar, he knew how to be a star and he has loved to be one
Theres hella footage of Muhammad Ali even 20 years before Maradona. Just imagine how many home videos private collectors must have of him that will never come to light
RİP THE GOAT NOW AND EVER
R.I.P Legand
Honestly, his patience with fans and media is beyond me. What this guy went through it’s amazing he didn’t do worse things. Imagine coming from the slums to being looked upon as God with all the money, temptations and women thrown at you every single moment you are awake. After watching the documentary I have nothing but praise for this man. The amount of pressure he has been under for years and the fact he took care of everybody else except himself is astonishing. No wonder he had a drug problem, had nowhere to escape and be alone in peace.
People forget what Diego means to Argentina and Napoli. Ask any Argentinean in Buenos Aires or Italian in Naples about Diego. You will get someone start crying when talking about him. Facts. I personally love him even more for the Human that he is, he represents all that is good of a human being and all that can be bad. He's not perfect, he's a normal human being who went on to do super natural things.
"A fucking junkie" is what my friend from Argentina says about him.
I am from Argentina, I love him as a football player, he demonstrated that even legends have flaws. Without his flaws nobody would have related to him. When not in the field, he proved to be a mere mortal human, and in the field a God. The football God.
@@leonardoneves7450 your friend is an asshole
True True.

R.I.P Maradona!
Ronaldo and Messi do have global fame probably more fame but the crazy fans Maradona had they can't even dream about. He is the greatest showman of football.
If Maradona was in his prime in this day and age, Messi and Ronaldo wouldn’t be as celebrated
Also if Ronaldinho Gaucho would have had the commitment and discipline of CR or Messi, he would have been the greatest player in the history of football
@@doodoodeedoo3958 R9 better the an all of them without injuries
Whatever, Ronaldo9 might have been most talented or greatest of all but his charisma and fame was not even 30% of what Maradona was. He never lifted WC with ordinary team, never took a team to championship which had never won it earlier. Maradona was special his fame, aura has never been enjoyed by any sports celebrity. His cult following is unmatched. He might have been a lesser talent but his ability to win big with ordinary teams was special.
Swap R9 with Ronaldinho imo

I noticed that only in this last 10 years when you say " i am from Argentina " in any part of the world ... they say "OH Messi, Messi"... But before this 10 years till 80 s you always heard "Ho Maradona, Maradona". Remember that in those years with no social networks this man was as a famous as the Pope. Probably one of the 5 most famous person alive from 70 s to end of 90s
Very true. In the '80s...the most famous men in the world were Michael Jackson, Stallone and Maradona!
I knew a lot about Maradona but this was an incredible insight into how fame can destroy someone. What a genius he was.

@@gugy68 Maradona had bigger personality than Pele. Pele never played in Europe, isntead he played in USA. He was a great player, but Diego was something else. Maradona was the only star in World Cup 1986, Pele played with great players in his national team (his 3 world cups).
@@Oktubre1984 Nobody cares about personality. If being a cocaine addict is what you mean. lol. Pelé is first for sure for his entire body of work, accomplishments and career. The problem is that he played many years ago and the younger generation never had a chance to appreciate his skills. R.I.P legend
Maradona was the Michael Jackson of football. Both reached superstardom. Jackson was probably the most famous person on earth, while Maradona was the most famous footballer. Both Jackson and Maradona was way more normal, in their own way before the pressure from fame and stardom got to them. Too much media attention and fame can, as with these two individuals change ur life forever. Both of them should have been more protected, and there have to be some boundaries when it comes to superstars like Jackson and Maradona was/is, to prevent this happening to others. Diego Maradona is the GOAT of football. Michael Jackson is the greatest artist to ever live, and known as the King of Pop, and both of them should have been more protected when it comes to the media hysteria. Just imagine these two living in a time with social media!
