I dont think Carmilla is a fallen angel i think shes an angel who jumped to hell. I think her children got sent to hell and to be with them she decide to go down there. This makes sense for many reasons like how she has so much angelic steel, because she had time to grab it before she went down. It also explains the "i always thought i woukd keep blood off my face" line which never made sense to me because why would an overlord be against fighting and how would they gain such status without it? I think its because angels are naturally stronger than the average sinners. I also think her hair looks like horns to blend in with other demons. If we follow the theory that if you own many souls your eyes are red it explains why her eyes are red and not yellowish like the other angels (and Vaggie)

It was the first thing I noticed when Carmilla called out Vaggie, they both are angels. Carmilla has been in hell for a long time now, Vaggie's eye will grow more red the longer she stays
Originally Vaggie had short hair and almost white eye like the other angels
It explains why she has access to Angelic steel, why she's so powerful and strong without powers, why Alastar didn't kill or contract with her during his purge and why she's an overlord without killing
Alastar knows he can't kill a angel at that time, so fighting a unending battle is pointless 😂

He clearly has their souls if he’s broadcasting their screams and they’re dead, so why wouldn’t he just use one of them to create a useful ‘servant’ as psychotic as anyone. Also explains her latent wierdness, her soul is in a body it’s not used to.

I agree that Alastor being a fallen Angel doesn’t make sense, and wouldn’t be the most interesting plot wise. The whole wings line in the last song is purely just metaphorical for being free in my opinion. I choose not to look deeper into that. Besides, wasn’t he canonically a serial killer while living? Just too many loose ends in my opinion.
I don’t have any theories right now, but in my mind there are 3 big mysteries of season 2: Alastor’s deal, Lilith’s motives, and where in the heck is Eve. Eve fascinates me the most because we know very little about her, but she’s mentioned several times in the series. Specifically in the intro of the first episode and by Lucifer when he’s taunting Adam. You would think she would be in hell because of the Apple situation, but as far as I know we never see her or hear about her being in hell. I want to know her deal.

My theory is abomination like in dragon age, he got possessed when he was alive by a piece of sould of fallen angel that give him a lot power, but with time he regret that, because they are becoming only unity, and the formal angel is becoming more bossy about alastor thinking.
My sister think he made adeal with gabriel(who was also few canon angel zoophopia),that give a lot powers, but same like before,he is becoming bossy and he sent alastor in hotel for helping Charlie, because he believe in charlue project, but he cannot help directly. Because Alastor was radio host means he is under protection of Saint gabriel who is patron of those who work in communications

it should also be pointed out that "having my wings clipped" is a common phrase to refer to feeling trapped, as wings are often associated with freedom, so Alastor saying "unclip my wings" is more liely referring to THAT rather than LITERAL wings (plus...we have seen no evidence of him having wings at all)
also not a huge fan of "alastor is helping charlie due to a deal with lilith". It makes things too interconnected and doesn't feel right (hell Alastor only came to the hotel after seeing Charlie on tv in the pliot, he would've arrived sooner without that prompting if he had made a deal with lilith). People are also assuming the deal was relatively RECENT, when i believe he must've made it back when he was alive and is the source of his supreme power.

    • @stevenminnett524
      @stevenminnett524 6 месяцев назад

@@TheRodentMastermind I have a different theory than the more common one that Alastor made a deal with Lilith. Before I explain the theory shall we look at some details that have been mentioned so SPOILERS.
Lilith has been missing for 7 years and in fact appears to be in heaven having made a deal with Adam. Adam appears to have been the one who convinced Sera that the annual purges was the way to prevent Hell rising up to attack Heaven. Vivsie has apparently said that Lilith was a loving mother to Charlie so her disappearing without a trace is out of character. The opening story says that Lilith became more powerful in hell and that she was able to empower the demons. Alastor was missing for 7 years as well and his reaction to Husk's comment about being on a leash clearly indicates he made a deal himself, presumably for the power to kill overlords and gain their power. All the overlords appear to be sinners, Zestial may be different and I do not believe Camilla is a fallen angel (a loving mother who deals in weapons is likely to be ending up in hell regardless of whether she pulled the trigger and killed someone). Lilith was banished to Hell with Lucifer so does not appear to have died and therefore is not a sinner, but she became a demon somehow (the fact that she has a child according to Vivsie would indicate she is still alive and hadn't died).
My theory; there is one other person from the history who is notably absent and I think may be the actual villain behind this... Eve. If Eve died having been the one responsible for allowing evil into the world she likely wold be extremely powerful, not as powerful as Adam or Lilith who were created from the dust of the universe by the angels, but from the blood and bone of Adam. Both Adam and Lilith may have been functionally immortal as part of how powerful they were. Eve may very well have been one of the most powerful beings in Hell behind Lucifer and Lilith so if she wanted vengeance on the ones who were responsible for her fall from grace she would need more power. She may have been the very first Overlord and immensely powerful but hiding from the ones she hated. Time passes as it will and a new sinner falls to hell, this new sinner was a serial killer in life and wants to continue to do this in hell, especially given he died almost by accident and would likely be known as a laughing stock because of this. He approaches or is approached by Eve and she gives him the power to take down the current overlords and steal their power making him more powerful in the process (the microphone staff he carries may be the focus of the deal). After this progresses for a while Eve finally gives him the order he has to follow, to kill Lilith. With both Eve and Alastor coming after her Lilith has to go where they can't follow her and makes a deal with Adam (Adam may have been aware that his second wife Eve was gathering power from dealing with souls and thought that she may have stormed Heaven to go after him and thus convinced Sera to sanction preemptive attacks to limit her power, hiding the real reason that it is Eve he is limiting from Sera as he fears he might be banished from heaven because of her actions as he had been banished from Eden). Because he was unable to find a way into heaven after 7 years (mystically significant) returned to hell where he sees Charlie on tv talking about her hotel and realises that Charlie may be more powerful than Eve so seeks to ingratiate his way into her company so he can make a deal to use to break his current deal, he needs her alive to do this so will protect her until this is complete all the while he is still under a geas to go after Lilith setting up a final confrontation with her or Eve depending on if he can break his contract.

      @nuclearcatbaby1131 20 дней назад

I think the source of his power is radio. He wouldn't have been the first demon in history to have had an opportunity for such a deal, but he would be among the first demons in history to have access to radio, along with spotting an opportunity to clear away the old overlords who were unfamiliar with it.

I think HH universe is based on

I'm sure it wasn't Lucifer intention but I don't believe lilith didn't know about. In every case zoroastrian believe good actions feed the good evil the evil. So my theory the evil messed up the divine judgement so nornal souls no too evil ended in hell, where they got corrupted or died by extermination. In both case angels are failing to feed the good, and evil become stronger.

If you look at when Adams mask glitches, one eye briefly turns into an X right as he was holding Charlie by the throat and promising to kill her along with everyone else. Charlie is one of the few truly innocent characters in hell. Having been born there she was never cast down as a sinner. Killing sinners might be allowed, but Charlie is an actual innocent. In Helluva Boss the Cherubs accidentally kill an old man and are told they can’t return to heaven for exactly that reason. I mean the old man ended up in hell anyways, but without divine judgement he is presumed innocent and they are cast out, and that was just an accident. I think that might apply to Adam for that exact reason. Charlie never faced divine judgement, she is an innocent.

It’s a stretch for sure, but he’s definitely playing the long game I’m just not sure how high his ambitions go. You know one thing I haven’t seen much chatter about is the deal he Did make with Charlie, not for her soul but for an unspecified favor with the only stipulation that she doesn’t have to hurt anyone. Maybe if she does end up getting heaven to work with her, he’ll make her ask them to redeem him… now I’m just talking out my ass but it would be interesting. (On second thought, Probably not since the angels didn’t seem to know how or what gets someone into heaven, or at least not yet) There’s no way (in hell 🥁) that favor isn’t going to come back in a major way though.

I was skeptical at first since I thought Roo was just another overlord. Turns out Roo is literally the embodiment of all sin and evil. There’s a giant depiction of her on the clock tower in the pilot, and an overlooked detail in the series many people miss is that there are a bunch of eyes. Eyes everywhere. Eyes watching everything. Eyes that just seem to be part of the scenery. I believe these eyes likely belong to Roo, and she’s keeping tabs on Alastor.
The only problem with this theory is that it raises questions as to exactly what the deal was. If Alastor made a deal with Roo, chances are, it’s the deal that gave Alastor his power, which doesn’t make any sense, since in the season 1 finale during his mental breakdown bit in the ending musical, he makes it sound like unbinding himself from the deal is going to make him more powerful. So we can assume that whatever deal is binding Al is acting as some sort of boundary for his abilities, maybe limiting what he’s capable of. So then if this is the case, it just leaves a huge gaping hole that is the question of, “Where the freak did his unusually high amount of power come from in the first place?”
The only thing I can think of is that he made more than one deal or something. Like maybe the first deal he made was with Roo, which gave him his power, but later on, he might have made a deal with either Eve or Lilith which gave him something he wanted, but the cost was some kind of limit to his power, or something like that. Idk.

Alternate 3/4 baked Alastor "deal" theory:
Alastor's "deal" is with Lucifer from his mortal days, evidence:
    1) from dad beat dad "who need's a busboy now that you've got the chef" (alluding to Alastor just being a busyboy for the real power)
    2) it lines up with Alastor's immediate dislike of Lucifer
    3) Lucifer playing at not recognizing Alastor is because telling Charlie he was making a deal with a mortal serial killer would be... awkard, at best, but it fits musical conventions/character to sneak in a sniping comment in song per 1.
    4) Alastor's reaction in the adam fight + timing of Lucifer's arrival makes sense if Lucifer yanked support mid-fight (after all, if Adam killed Alastor it doesn't blow back on Lucifer and he gets to ride to the rescue shortly thereafter)
    5) Alastor seeing charlie as an "in"/leverage to get out from under her dad justifies his interest in the hotel
    6) narratively, whoever has alastor's deal needs to be very powerful (and possibly introduced) and the list of those powerful enough to be contenders is short
    7) by it being a "mortal" deal explains why Alastor is a total house when he first arrived in hell (or alternately vs. 3, why Lucifer doesn't initially recognize Alastor in sinner form)

    A handful of theories:
    1. Many have said this one... but Alastor is in a deal with the yet-to-be-in-show Roo. Basically, they've got a lot of similarities in character design (era clothing, color scheme, spindly thingy coming out look, etc.)
    2. Sera is going to silence Emily, and is subtly abusive. She's so against the sinners (to the point of being willing to exterminate them), and her sadistic smile in the song when she says "to do what was required", and the look of panic in her eyes when Sir Pentious shows up. Also, people keep guessing she's her mom, but I suspect a relationship more like that of an older sister of a pair of orphans. She will put the chance to "do what is required" for her perfect ideal of heaven above her sister.
    3. There are more worlds. More than the 7 rings of hell, heaven, and Earth. They are part of some infinite set of worlds. Why? The glimpses we've gotten of the cosmology (such as the view over pentagram city) show they are worlds floating in a void. Mythological systems are generally closed systems (set number of layers, a base level, a top level, etc.) but this showed a steller system, which those tend to be infinite when they show up in our reality or in fiction somewhere. This leads into my next theory...
    4. _Nobody_ dies. In the case of Sir Pentious, angelic kills send someone somewhere else. The seven rings each represent an emotional direction. Heaven being "winners" also has an emotional direction (winners), Earth is kind of a cradle world for other worlds and explains why human souls end up in heaven & hells. Thing is, denizens of heaven & hell are immortal-ish. They have longer views than Earthlings, which allows for more complex and subtle emotions than the infantile never-dead, so *usually* them being sent off ends in some far off world that no one is aware of in a kind of increasing fractal of infinite emotional worlds and their afterlives. As for why we don't see these other worlds often, it's the same reason Heaven & Hell restrict access to Earth... don't break the cradle. Earth thinks it's all it is (first is an anomaly), Heaven & Hell think they're the end of it (second is a coincidence), and anything beyond that would assume the truth - such as for Sir Pentious who was targeting a _specific_ emotional realm with his redemption. Meaning that Earth/Heaven/Hell are the only chance for a personality to fully develop in naivete' before being thrust into the larger cosmos. This would jive with one new age Christian idea that popped up in the 70's (that the 7 rings of hell named for emotional traits fits nicely into) that "Your afterlife is living in a world filled with people like you through all of time, a place being Hell or Heaven is not a designation created by a divine mandate, but a result of what the people who live there turn it into."
    5. Heaven desperately wants to kill Charlie. In Lilith & Lucifer's deal with heaven that caused Lucifer to withdraw into depression for 7 years, Lilith to be exiled to heaven and stop building up hell into a force that could threaten heaven for 7 years (being in heaven wasn't a reward, it was a cost, Lilith thrived in hell, and I don't think Lute understands the nature of the deal), and both to say ok to the exterminations, and likely tied up Alastor in some way.... a deal that generally ONLY benefit heaven all around with only one pro-hell part - They leave Lilith & Lucifer's family alone. That this amount of concession was done to get them to _not target Charlie specifically_ backs up this theory. As for why? Well, there's a reason, biblically, Heaven flooded the Earth; and despite what they say in church - "that it was mankind's sin", the bible actually gives a different story: The point of the flood was to exterminate the Nephillim, people that were halfbreeds of human and angel. Humanity was just a civilian casualty. Lucifer's an Angel. Lilith is a human-turned demon. That means Charlie is a hybrid Angel/Human/Demon, making her not just a Nephillim, but some kind of super-nephillim since the demon is added. In other words, Charlie is waaaaay OP, and possibly the most powerful being in the currently-known cosmos of Hazbin/Hella, greater than even Sera, Lucifer, or Lilith. This is further compounded on by the fact that Adam targeted Charlie and her hotel _in spite_ of the extermination deal that said she wasn't to be touched, and her demonstrating a level of power that caught Adam off guard with a form of power he didn't recognize. Biblically speaking, Nephillim were second in power only to God himself. So heaven has a reason to be afraid of her. VERY, _VERY_ afraid.
4 & 5 Lead to my final theory:
6: Roo is both the primary antagonist of the series, and a Nephillim. Vizipop revealed that she's a VERY late antagonist to show up. This means she's a "big bad", possibly THE big bad. And there's little biblically that's more powerful than Seraphiim... but Nephillim are one of them. And if Charlie's a Nephillim and reveals that power (as is hinted at in the season 1 finale with the "what the...?" arm power), really, on a power scale, the only thing that's going to be a valid antagonist without inventing something completely new is going to be another Nephillim. And a nephillim so evil and ancient that Heaven felt the need to flood the cradle world just to _get it as far away as possible_ would go a long way to make _that_ horrific genocide more justifiable (and fit with Sera's "do what was required" attitude... she loves doing horrible things, but only if she has an excuse!)

*RL cannon: Lilith can only give birth to dead babies. So maybe Charlie is on her second respawn. And respawned in hell because of original sin (despite not being a descendant of Adam).
*Hell really is the Home for Infinite Losers. Only Sir Pentos was “Blasted Into Another Dimension”.
*Charlie will ‘sell her soul’ but those contracts only work on human / demons / angels and a nephilim like Charlie can break free.
*This is the Hotel’s second round. Overanalyzing what Lucifer says / sings, he too tried to create an institution to redeem souls but it failed and can’t talk about it. Because he’s bad at it, because of Eve, because Lilith, because Sera, I don’t know why.
*The symbolism of the duck is that it can be above water, on water, and below water. Heaven, earth, and hell.
*Adam and Lucifer made a deal regarding sparing Charlie. One would assume Lucifer would be front and center in the final battle. But he only shows up once Adam hits Charlie which violated the ‘sparing Charlie’ bit. This is also when his mask starts to glitch. Also Lucifer can hurt and probably kill Adam without angel steel.
*Demons can manifest demon blades which are as strong as angel blades. Charlie’s trident hurt Adam. But you can only create demon blades if…. you do it for selfless reasons(?). But Charlie is a Nephilim. So they either ignore that Lilith isn’t a demon, or Lilith became a demon, or Lucifer is an angel and a demon because the two are the same thing.
*There is a literal force of darkness. In the intro there is a pure white being and a pure dark being.
*Eve is a major villain and intentionally did something to the apple.
*The power of music. Everyone sings, Adam has a guitar, Lute, the radio demon is super powerful, and Lilith empowers hell with her songs. Very vague so far.
*Rosie is an angel / is friends with angels. If a demon dies to a demon they just ‘put themselves back together’ after a few weeks according to Velvet (really vague) but in the pilot we see Rosie killing her partner by hiring Carmines kids who kill them with an angel spear which can perma-kill. Again, vague. This also explains why she instantly signed on with Charlie, because she knows the angels can be beaten.

Eve is Charlie's mother and she hired Alastor to keep her safe. Here's my thought process on this, I believe Eve was originally an angel like Adam. But over the centuries got sick and tired of his ego and choose to leave him.
Adam being a type of guy of not wanting to lose, somehow gets Eve banished to hell making her a fallen angel.
For how she's Charlie's mother, I believe Lilith being a sinner was unable to have a child like all other sinners. At some point after Eve became a fallen angel, she ran into Lucifer and hooked up with him, this was mentioned during Lucifer and Adam's fight.
At this point Eve became pregnant with Charlie surprising Lucifer, but to keep his image he hid both Eve and the pregnancy away and convinced Lilith to pretend Charlie was hers.
This also explains why in the public facing events Lilith looks like a happy mother, but in private she's cold to both Lucifer and Charlie as seen in the flash backs.

One line that nobody talks about with Alastor that I've noticed. When speaking with Zestial, Zestial notes that there've been rumors of Alastor 'falling to holy arms'. While this may simply mean 'died in the exterminations' I feel Zestial is smarter than to believe that is the case, and that he may have a stronger idea of where Alastor's been than he lets on. Perhaps Alastor made a deal with Sera, It would fit Alastor having immense power from out of thin air as well as his thirst for said power, it would align with Sera's want to keep hell from uprising by eliminating heaven's biggest threats from the inside, and would also explain the 'unclip my wings' line.

    Crimson owns Mimzy's soul.
Mimzy is shown to affiliate with troublesome characters based on the era she died, the 1920s, with the likes of Alastor and the mafia-like loan shark sinners. She also seems to borrow money, and through Husk's dialogue, it seems to happen a lot.
She has a tattoo that symbolizes Mammon, the King of the Greed Ring.
Crimson lives in the Greed Ring. Crimson is the leader of a mafia.
Crimson is an imp, which is the lowest class of hellborns, which are low class to sinners. Still, he leads a mafia of higher-ranking loan shark demons and other higher hellborns.
Crimson is shown to have some powers, which imps are not stated to have any at all. What's the best way to gain power in Hell?
    Soul deals.

    1) There are two Niffty's, one that is a neat freak and will clean by any means necessary, and one that is a masochist who names the stains that the clean freak version couldn't clean.
    2) Alastor has a deal with Rue (Root of all evil), and he is going to use Charlie to switch with him in the deal, he didn't want her soul because he is gonna trade it for his freedom.
    3) Sera has a deal with one of the demons and that's why her eyes are blackish, she allowed Adam and Lute to do their thing, because she was hoping that Adam would kill the Demon that has her soul.
    4) Charlie is a Nephilim, she is the strongest living being in both heaven and hell, chaos is kind of drawn to her as she is the literally the bridge between good and bad.
    5) Lillith is not in heaven for a selfish reason, she made a deal with Adam to be with(serve) him in Heaven to protect Charlie AND Lucifer from the exterminations, Lute wants her to go down there to protect the deal they made, knowing full well, that Adam just broke his promise as he has done multiple times throughout the season.

    I’ve seen a theory I really like.
There’s a character that Vivzi called Roo, and it's theorised to be short for Root of All Evil. Vivzi said she’s going to appear in Hazbin Hotel. The theory is as follows: Roo made a deal with Lilith as she came into hell with power, but she actually didn’t. She had minimal power and heard a voice speaking to her. She follows the voice and meets Roo, who is stuck to the ground of hell. She tells Lilith she has a lot of power but can’t do much as she’s stuck to the ground. She proposes that she and Lilith make a deal so they can help the sinners of hell. Lilith makes the deal with Roo for the sake of her people. Roo eventually finds a way to talk to someone who’s still alive, that person is Alastor who was already killing. She claimed she was the God of Voodoo and she helped him kill. She would get him to sell his soul without him realizing it. When he comes into hell strong as he made the deal, Roo would help Alastor in any ways possible. In the fight mentioned by Valentino, Alastor got too cocky and ignored what Roo told him, causing him to lose. The reason Alastor and Lilith both were gone for 7 years was because Lilith was helping Alastor recover. He’s only at the hotel because Lilith asked him to help Charlie, no deals or anything. The reason Lilith is in heaven is because she is hiding from Roo. Lilith made a deal with Adam so she can hide away in heaven away from Roo and hopes that Alastor helps Charlie. If this is true, I think Roo would be the big bad of Season 3.

Honestly my theory is Alastor's big plan it to take over all of hell. He is beefing with Lucifor because he wants his throne. Him trying to get close to Charlie as Princess of Hell could be exactly what he needs to take over, and no one questions him. He definitely seems to have a weird interest in Charlie, and i don't necessarily mean a romantic one. He is dismissive of Vaggie but does really seem to bother with her. He probably doesn't see her as a threat. however, Daddy Dearest is arguably the strongest person in hell. He would be the first to interfere if someone tried to use or hurt his daughter. Hints why he is the first Alastor as a beef with.
So thats why Alastor is helping at the hotel. He is trying to win Charlie's trust and possibly affection. Then, once he has the power he needs, then uses Charlie to take over all of hell.

Alastor is cannon a radio boradcast personality from the 1910s-1930s who was a serial killer and he was shot in the woods while burying a body as some hunter confused him for game. Notice how all the sinners in hell are a physical representation of their life on earth- you can see this more clearly on Helluva Boss. That's why he has antlers and hooves. Thats why he was eating that deer in his room for breakfast.
What isn't explained by this cannon lore:
What are his powers? No other sinner seems to have those tendrils/ability to vanish into shadows. Vox and Valentino have come close with traveling through screens and the love perfume- but none of them have shown their powers. Alastor is also the only one who has been shown to be able to open some sort of portal- he opened it briefly when fighting Sir Pentious. That more closely aligns with something angelic or demonic- like him spawning those bound to him magically- Husk and Nifty, like Lucifer spawning everything in the "hells greatest dad" song. Valentino can't do that that's why he has this tension with Angel Dust.
We have yet to see a demon or hellborne or sinner ACTUALLY have wings. Lucifer has wings, but he's an angel. No one else in hell is shown to have "angel" like wings, or even wings at all. SO him mentioning wings COULD be a sign that he actually isn't a sinner.

There's also the fact that he looks very human for a serial killer. He looks more human than Charlie and everything. Besides, the standards of heaven are very rare. Adam is there and watches porn from hell.
The native angels can command a genocide without any type of remorse or punishment, when the Bible says that you must have compassion even with your enemies. Angel was a drug-addicted mobster who surely killed a lot of people, and he is the one who makes the Angelos doubt redemption as something impossible.
We also saw Liliht, the first sinner, make an apparent deal with the angels so that she can be in heaven in exchange for genocide against her people.
In addition, the creator describes Alastor with contradictory traits, saying that he was a serial killer but that he does not like to hurt defenseless and vulnerable people without provocation, she says that he would be able to take care of children until they can take care of themselves.
I'm not saying that the theory is true, but maybe it can be supported if, for example. Alastor was a spy killer in the First World War and committed cannibalism out of necessity in an extreme situation. Soldiers are technically serial killers, maybe heaven can turn a blind eye to that? Vaggi was supposed to be a sinner and now they changed her to an angel, they even said she was a moth demon. As long as they don't give us a system to work with, any theory is welcome.

Alister's disapearance is becuase of his fight with the Vees. If you consider that the radio tower he went to is the same one from Mimzie's backstory, then he is talking about another defeat. This would imply that his deal is actually with someone else. Someone we have learned very little about, Eve. We know that Eve and Lucifer hooked up. That means she can be in hell as well. There is also a posability we already saw her or at least her powers because of how the shadow Alister has acts on its own. It isn't clear if the shadow is the person that owns him or if it is him controling it.
    Things we do know:
Mimzie telling alister's back story and how he is secretly a sweet heart pretending to be a bad person.
"Welcome home" there are lyrics about how Alister lost to Vox. We know Vox had help, we know that Alister had to flee.
In the finale, alister isn't talking about his loss with Adam, he is talking about his loss with vox. He goes from talking to the loss to the deal becuase the two are connected.
Using scooby doo logic, Lilith is the red herring, and Eve is the true owner of his soul. Scooby doo logic is "the guy that is seldom talked about is usually the one behind it" kinda like how they gave one scene to scrappy in the live action and then oopsies he was the villian the entire time.
We will probably see Eve and Lilith in season 2, we also know that they might not like each other.

    1. He might be the anti christ, mostly just cause I think it would be fun.
    2. He’s not connected to Eve or Lilith, but a concept character Vizi showed Roo (Root of all Evil) who was basically the original evil mentioned in the opening of Hazbin Hotel episode 1. His deal might be connected to this ultimate evil and explain why his powers seem so magical and based in voodoo. It’s not much to go on but his powers seem completely different from the other overlords. Though it’s a stretch since none of them have actually seen shown using any abilities.

This is the first time I've heard people theorise Alastor as a fallen angel. I mean I can get it if you're just going on knowledge gained as a very new fan who didn't see the pilot first years ago and are just getting introduced to Hazbin now. However, the biggest hole in the angel idea is that as a human on Earth, he was a serial killer. He earned his one way ticket to hell by being a heartless murderer in his Earth life. Alastor isn't getting into heaven, it would take a huge and I mean extremely huge act of something extremely good to maaaybe get someone who was a murderer in human life near the golden gates.
I'm on the boat of another theory, a character that hasn't been introduced yet only known as "Roo" is the one holding Alastor's leash. The reason the radio demon popped into Hell with power is not only because his soul was evil already from his human life of being a serial killer but because he made a deal with a powerful demon back when he was a human. Human Alastor was into voodoo and the darker arts; so as a human he was probably an easy target for Roo to sink her claws into, just convince this human who is already dipping into the unholy that she's whatever he wants to think she is (like a voodoo god or something). Roo wanted a loyal servant that will blindly obey her and whom she can corrupt into the darkest thing that can probably over throw that depression filled Lucifer. Except, Roo's little pet project did something stupid like get killed before she can fully paint him in a dark evil black of total loyalty. So, in hell Alastor fell with his leash already on and when he found out that he was tricked into the deal he made as a human he's bitter as f*@k cuz Roo isn't the person human him believed he was loyally serving. Alastor got his wings clipped the moment his human self made a deal with Roo; as in he lost his chance at going to heaven when he died. In the beginning of his life in Hell, it was probably great; Roo was probably like, you have power make yourself a big shot in hell by killing this overlords that I don't like. Then Roo probably just sat back and let him do his thing of gaining power because it just fit her plan and she didn't have to pull on the leash. Then Charlie and her big dreams just swings in like a happy ray of sunshine that really rains on Roo's plans and she yanks on the chain of her most powerful servant, Alastor; ordering him to do whatever it takes to ruin that little princesses dreams, get her dumb butt to sell her soul, kill her, ruin her little dreams. Roo doesn't care, just get that little brat to not ruin everything she's worked for.
The Roo theory works. It's why Alastor can't just abandon Charlie and the hotel, why he's not exactly helpful in getting the hotel to work, why he probably threw the fight with Adam (or Roo sensed Al was being swayed by Charlie and cut his power). Roo is not demanding instant results in ruining Charlie because her little puppet isn't strong enough to actually murder her but Alastor is creative enough that he can chip away at little charlie bit by bit until she's weak enough or trusting enough to snap the trap shut and break her.

    My personal theories are:
Alastor made a deal with roo (the root of all evil) either just before or just after he manifested in hell. Roo is conformed to be an upcoming antagnonist in the future seasons, lilith may have ties with roo, explaining the 7 year absence thing.
(people who say alastor is so powerful due to a deal with lilith in the 7 year absence are wrong. it is not really possible, seeing he died in the early 1900's and instantly started taking down overlords and powerful demons. And the series is set in the 21st century, making this theory impossible)
Cannibal town is a town either in europe or the USA wich had to resort to cannibalism of towns nearby, due to the lack of food. And them all looking similair due to them living the same type of life and maybe even dying in the same way. Maybe a plauge or a great hunger that ravished the town.
Nifty could have been a small-time overlord, due to her being next to alastor in the pilot, even tho alastor owns hunderds of thousands if not millions of souls.
I do not think carmilla is a fallen angel or anything. I think she was a weapons dealer in her life, and her children helping her with this. But after there were issues, they were all killed by for example the mafia.
Alastor is confirmed to be a serial killer and to have been mistaken by a deer and shot, likely when hiding a body. So I doubt it very much alastor would have been an angel at any point in time.
I do have a few questions myself, including what happens to IMPS when they die, what happens when someone who sold their soul would be redeemed, how lilith is in heaven, seeing that adam would not be able to get her there. What happened between lucifer and lilith ect

I mean alastor has the facets of an angel himself, besides one day he just appeared in hell and already had an insane amount of power, people say he gained power through his deal but that makes no sense since he wants to break the deal so he can use all his power, he even thought he could defeat Adam but it is very clear he couldn't but because his power was capped, that means that at full power he might have the power of an angel.
It is comfirmed he was a serial killer in his "human life" but we also know that for one some beings can disguise as other creatures, as Lucifer who infiltrated Eden as a serpent in Hazbin Hotel or Verosika, Loona, etc. in Helluvah Boss who can disguise as humans.
Like, not just based on the phrase "unclip my wings" which I admit is pretty weak evidence, there are plenty of clues that he might be an angel or another type of more powerful creature. The fact that he also despises sinners to some degree and only kills when provoked might hint to something too...
This is probably just overthinking everything and there is a much more simpler explanation but it is fun to theorize!!! 🙃
Edit: He could also well be the angel of death and that would explain a lot of things, (I have also heard theories about him being the voice of God though that seems improbable) we will just have to wait and see...

Random theory (i know its not true but i like to think it is)
Alastor was a archangel that was cast down to earth after he became evil and when he died since he wasn't mortal he wasn't sent to the ring of pride and instead found stolas who he made a deal with (what makes me thing this is the way stolas makes people smile the exact same way when he posseses them) to become a very powerful being. thats about as far as it goes.

    Here’s a thought-
Alastor made a deal with Lucifer.
Think about it, Alastor forgets really anybody if they don’t amuse him or don’t have value to him, Lucifer seems to be HATED by Alastor, and plays the “who are you” card just like Alastor. It’s possible Lucifer made a deal that forced Alastor to protect Charlie in some way or another, and as a result he vanished for 7 years to learn how to somewhat control and suppress his murderous tendencies and desires so he could follow that deal; while also plotting how to get back at Lucifer for more or less binding him, limiting him to a lowly guardian when his true intent is to rule Hell.

If you do part to, I have a theory that doesn’t contribute to the plot, but is interesting. I think Alastor died a wendigo. Since wendigoes are made when a human resorts to eating human flesh, it would explain his connection to the cannibals. Additionally, wendigoes are known to be extremely talented at leading prey into traps, imitating voices and showing intelligence, which could explain his deal making habits, looking for people in bad situations. Traditionally, wendigoes do not have antlers and deer like features, but that could be explained by the fact that when souls manifest, their bodies are based on their souls. This could potentially carry over misconceptions and associations, explaining his antlers.

My theory is that both Carmilla and Rosie (and all the other cannibals for that matter) descend from fallen angels but have develloped differently as they interbred with native demon species. But that was based on the cannibals' look back in the prequel webcomics where the cannibals were a lot less homogenous in looks.
Alternatively, I think there's a link with Carmilla and her daughters have the same eyes as Charlie when she "demons-up", so the Carmines possible having similar descent would be interesting, ancient humans and angels, which would pretty much make them identical to the judaic nephilim.

personal theory: Alastor's deal was with either Ziz, Behemoth or least likely, Leviathan.
All three are insanely strong in biblical lore (Levitahn is a Sin Prince) and are sealed.
Now Alastor could've made a deal to unseal them for power but has little interest to do so, so he plans on using Charlie and Lucifer through the hotel to try to amass a force to break the deal. Also I just like the idea of Alastor, a deer man, being chained by Behemoth who was compared to Lions in the bible.

My Hazbin theory deals with Lilith's deal with Adam. It was speculated at the start of the season, that Lilith was missing for a number of years, because she was starting uprisings. The same uprisings perhaps, that Sera told Emily were the reason for the culling program in Hell. Which would mean Lilith was giving Adam the excuse he needed to kill sinners in Hell. What was she getting out of the deal? At the moments perspective says she gets to hide out in Heaven, safe from the killings. Why was she doing this? My theory is to weaken the Overlords. Their power is based on how many followers they have, and how many souls they own. Yes, the command structure is territorial. But again, if they don't have a lot of followers, they're seen as weak. So, clear out a mess of sinners, and that territory weakens. Along with Its leader. Rosie kinda hinted at this in "Hello Rosie", when she told Alastor there were territories ripe for takeover.

My crackpot Alastor theory. When he got to hell he was mostly a normal possibly above average sinner but somehow had the knowledge of how or the ability to tear apart and consume the souls of sinners (either through the voodoo magic he has, might be a special ability he got as a demon due to his life, or perhaps got the knowledge from his deal) and that is the cause of his immense power as an overlord.
    My thoughts process for this
    1. He is a cannibal and has a thing for straight up consuming sinners and other demons. While other cannibals can consume the bodies of sinners they are probably able to reform eventually (Which means cannibal town doesn't have to worry about running out of people to eat). What Alastor does is not only consume their body but also consume their soul/essence.
    2. He has a way of permanently killing sinners as the overlords he consumed are just gone, normally any sinner when killed (unless by angelic weapons) have the ability to eventually reform themselves after a while. I theorize that ripping apart and consuming the souls of sinners in the way he does traps them inside of himself, preventing them from reforming and adding their power to his own.
    3. He is able to manifest the screams of the Overlord's he has slain through his radio broadcast showing that in some capacity a part of them still exist, perhaps this is him showing off the various tormented souls of those he has trapped inside of him as an intimidation tactic.
    4. The Shadow backup dancers that he manifests to do his bidding are vestiges of those overlords and other sinners he has consumed. Enough of a soul to have their own autonomy (they work even when he isn't there), but not enough to exert their own will against Alastors commands. Also making some of them have somewhat unique appearances to represent who they were before he consumed them.
    5. He did threaten to rip Husk's soul apart and considering the magnitude of this threat and his sheer anger at the time I feel like this is more then just a exaggeration. He was threatening literally tear apart husk's soul and consume him preventing him from reforming and "killing him" in a sense, and Husk (who knows a lot more about Alastor then most) knew he was not exaggerating.
    6. He was not considered a threat at first according to Mimzy's backstory, at first no on considered him as a threat and his rise to power was unprecedented and sudden. I feel like even with the special power when manifesting in hell Alastor would be smart enough to lay low. At first he would consume normal weaker sinners that no one would notice, eating up the food chain until he was strong enough to overpower then consume overlords and only then revealing himself as the radio demons and going on his rampage
    7. He has no songs of his own either butting in to someone else's song or having his be a reprise of another song. Representing that the power he has is not his own, but from the others. (this is a common observation of Alastor)
    8. The backstories depict him as a monstrous circus tent with sinners inside of him who are screaming, and has his shadow back up dancers coming out of it. A representation of how he is seemingly one soul, but also contains many that are trapped and tortured inside of him that add to his power.
    9. The reason he makes soul deals with others instead of just eating them is that he still has a twisted moral code, making deal still give him a power boost, allow him to have various favors done for him that his shadow back up dancers cannot provide, and to keep up appearances. After he had made himself known he probably wanted to keep his ability to tear apart and then consume souls as a secret so no one else could try what he did and potentially beat him. This resulted in him not being so prolific about his acts of cannibalism as an overlord as well as making deals to appear as a "normal" overlord who gains his power though deals,
    10. While he is powerful there are still other overlords and other who he appears wary of despite his abilities to consume souls and make himself more powerful. The reason he isn't able to start fighting above his weight class is that he is not able to access all of the powers and abilities of those he consumed. Due to a sinners very powerful regeneration and resurrection abilities unless slain by holy arms trapping their soul would normally be impossible due to them eventually reforming or escaping in some way, but Alastor tears apart the soul when he eats them which while only allowing him to access fragments of their power at a time (which is why he is only able to manifest shadow vestiges and screams instead of the entire sinners) also weakens them to the point they are not able to reconstitute themselves or try to escape.
    11. This idea is a stretch but I will add it anyways. Perhaps the reason he didn't use Holy weapons against Adam was due to him wanting to consume Adam's soul. If he used Holy weapons and killed Adam (even then I don't think he would have been able to kill Adam with them due to his sheer power) would destroy the soul and make it unable to be consumed, but if he whittled Adam down with his minions to the point he was weakened enough then he could consume Adam and gain a massive power boost. He failed due to severely underestimating the power gap between him and Adam and overestimating his own abilities causing him to get injured and forced to flee.
Anyways give me ur thoughts on the theory, some of these facts were brought up by others and not just what I noticed but when putting them together this is what I came up with. An thus I hope what I added to it and put together might be helpful.

SPOILERS: If you have not watched episode 8 or just season one please read this post later. Also these are theories. These may predict future plot reveals idk.
These are my theories about what happened between Vox and Alastor.
So, Vox and Alastor have more of a history than what many people believed. Let's first take some notes about that photo of Vox and Alastor.
    1. Alastor has his pilot suit
    2. This photo is in black and white
    3. Vox's screen looks different, it looks like an older model.
    4. Vox and Alastor are pretty close together (this is important later).
Ok, let's talk about a few things.
    1. Alastor's pilot suit.
This could be reference to the pilot. Or maybe his change is a reference to how, apparently, recently Alastor has made a deal and may not even own his soul.
    2. The photo is in black and white.
And 3. Vox's screen looks like an older model.
Given how Vox seems to be ALL about updating and keeping up with the times, I don't think he was like pretending to be old fashioned for Alastor in recent or present times.
So, odds are this was AGES ago in hell. Like shortly after Vox died. I would say 1950s-1960s.
    4. Vox and Alastor are pretty close together.
Now I think this is something important to mention. So far it seems like Alastor has this disconnection from most other males. Alastor mentions his mother in the pilot, but he has yet to mention his father.
He has this hatred for Lucifer (Charlie's DAD and Lilith's HUSBAND).
And at BEST Alastor respects Zestial (A powerful and OLDER MALE overlord). And at WORST he fears Zestial.
Sidenote: Look at that scene between Zestial and Alastor. It really looks like Alastor panics when he realizes that he (Alastor) is losing the respect of people in hell.
So given all of this, Alastor having mostly female friends, and mentioning his mother. But not mentioning his father, and even seeming to feel this need for respect and control (check back on his song in episode 8). I really do think it's possible that Alastor had a father who was in his life. But his father may have instilled fear and the need to gain respect, and perhaps the way Alastor was raised. Alastor felt the need to gain control in his life. (Sidenote: If he did indeed hurt/end people while alive, it's possible that was the driving force).
So the fact that Alastor was standing so close to Vox. And long enough for a photo to be taken? (Sidenote: If this is an old photo, I'm sure this photo would have taken a while to snap. Also is the camera being held by someone else or on a tripod or something? (Remember that this is probably in the 1950s-1960s)). This is important. This tells me that Alastor and Vox, at the time, trusted each other.
    So what happened?
Well, it's go over Alastor's history since we have more of that as of now.
Alastor lived through the Great Depression, and died AT LEAST after the 1920s my best guess is 1930s - 1940s.
He arrived in hell, and according to Vaggie in the pilot, and Mimzy, he wiped out some of the most powerful and eldest Overlords with ease.
And seven years ago, he disappeared. And only recently he has re-appeared.
Also despite killing overlords and hating new stuff, he allowed Vox around him for that photo.
Now about Vox. It's try to make some sense of his timeline. Apparently the first tv's appeared in 1927. But they only become really popular around 1946 - 1951. So it's likely that Vox and Alastor DID NOT meet each other when they were humans. So, he likely fell some time between 1950 - 1960. HOWEVER, if Alastor did encounter primitive tvs in 1927 to whenever died. It make sense that Alastor would originally accept Vox's presence.
So, what happened between them. Well I have some ideas and supporting evidence.
    1. Vox and Alastor made a bet/deal and Vox won.
We hear in episode 2 from Valentino that Alastor owes Valentino and Vox something. It is possible that Vox and Alastor similar to Husk and Alastor. Made a bet, in which whoever wins gets the loser's soul. However, Alastor lost and maybe he since he doesn't own his soul, he's able to attack Vox. Meanwhile Vox is shocked, as he's weirded out that Alastor is still able to move and (apparently) still has his soul. Perhaps in this theory Vox thought that Alastor found a loophole. Perhaps Valentino gets involved, and that's how he loses his antenna. Maybe Alastor realized that his secret may be out. And he brought out an angelic weapon trying to end Vox and Valentino. But instead, he has to flee. Also, Vox has a crooked antenna too. Maybe a result of Alastor?
Also, in episode 2, Vox says that they must prevent Charlie from making a deal with Alastor. Interesting...
IDK though where Vox inviting Alastor to the team fits in this theory. Maybe this battle happens after Alastor rejects Vox's offer.
    2. One of them saved the other's life
In episode 8, while Alastor sings he taunts the idea that people would think that he would die and, thus, cares for the people in the Happy Hotel. What if this is something that happened between Alastor and Vox. What if when Vox was a younger sinner, he was nearly killed and Alastor came to his defense. Or perhaps it was the other way around.
And Alastor realized that with him not owning his own soul, that he may be forced to kill Vox, like the oldest overlords. So, he cut off Vox. As he was maybe starting to care about Vox (doesn't have to be romantic).
And perhaps that's why Vox invited Alastor to join his team (Which for sure had Vox and Valentino, idk about Velvette). As Vox wanted to have his pal back.
Then Alastor attacks Vox to send the message to Vox.
Also, in this theory. They were likely friends. (Remember the earliest tvs were made in 1927. So, Alastor likely had no problem with Vox's technology as it was around when he was alive, but just not common in most households. )
How close Vox and Alastor are in the photo, does support this theory. Especially since Alastor does seem to have this mistrust around males.
Also if Vox saved Alastor's life. That would explain Valentino saying that Alastor owes them something (aka his afterlife).
    3. Alastor tried to swap places with Vox
It's possible that Alastor got close to Vox, and maybe offered Vox a deal. Which was intended to trap Vox and maybe Alastor was hoping that whoever owns his soul would instead want Vox to take leadership. And possibly free Alastor's soul.
Remember how Vox mentioned to the other V's that they must prevent Alastor from making a deal with Charlie? Perhaps Alastor is going to order Charlie to take his place in his deal. (Remember, Charlie's only restriction is that she wouldn't hurt someone. Taking his place in his deal, doesn't directly hurt anyone).
Anyways, Vox realizes what Alastor wanted. Maybe he tries to get Alastor more involved like joining his team. And Alastor keeps pushing a deal. And maybe Alastor or Vox snap and then they battle.
In this theory, Alastor allowing Vox to be so close to him in a photo. Likely would've been an act to pretend that he trusts Vox.
Also, in this theory, maybe Alastor was training Vox to be like him. That way he would be the perfect replacement for his deal. This would also explain Vox's similarities to Alastor.
Maybe whoever owns Alastor's soul, realized his plans and intentions. And that's why Alastor disappeared for 7 years. He was being reminded to never betray them.
    4. Perhaps Valentino and maybe Velvette, drove Alastor apart from Vox and vice versa.
We know Vox invited Alastor to join his "team". That hints that at least one more V member was in the team. Likely Valentino.
Remember Alastor's possible past with his father and his fear/hatred of certain male figures. It's possible that such a male sinner like Valentino drove a divide between Alastor and Vox. Perhaps Valentino even framed Vox or Alastor. Which drove them to battle. Vox and Valentino get hurt. And Alastor disappears for 7 years.
So even though in this theory, Alastor once trusted Vox. He doesn't anymore.

Something that would be cool is if there was an overlord who dominates the book industry in hell and probably gets along with alastor somewhat since reading books aren't as popular as back then.

The thing I am a bit confused about with Alastor is his "Wendigo" form , it is shown to have stitch marks all over with the ones around his mouth being more glowing red. also he seemingly has a red x in the middle of his forehead in this form (seen during the song and the mimsy episode) and i supposed that was a thing only angels got when they were hurt beyond healing. Now this might be a bit of a stretch or just plain dumb but it seems like part of his mouth is stitched shut at the ends with the same red glowing x marks. so what if we lean into the "wendigo" aspect .
Alastor seems to have an insatiable hunger for souls that he might actually persue and try to quench and he would have the power to do this because he was killing overlords left and right until he disappeared for 7 years. And now that he is back the cruelty is still there but most of the killing seems to have stopped unless it's fodder enemies like in the mimsy episode. So what if 7 years ago he was somehow removed from hell by someone and only returned upon making a deal which possibly prevents him from satiating his hunger for souls at least to its full extent or from eliminating more overlords (which could have politics involved). This does somewhat conveniently coincide with Lilith going to heaven 7 years ago so its possible there could be a connection.
Don't really have annything solid just thought i'd point out what i thought i saw.

Here's a 2 prong theory of mine about Adam and the exorcists
    1. Adam only got into heaven because he literally lacks evil. In the story in ep. 1, Charlie talks about evil and good as if they were physical things or places rather than moral alignments. Angels worship good and hell is where evil breaches Earth. It's like a curse or disease that Eve contracted when she ate the apple and most of her descendants have it. The angels only got in because they have an immunity to it. Adam doesn't have "evil because he's not a descendant of Eve and he never ate the apple.
    2. Vaggie and the other exorcists are all descendants of Adam like Eve was. Adam says he "named" Vaggie which is an odd thing to say if she was human and died. Plus all the exorcists look a lot more like Adam and the seraphim than the regular winners. They're all blue and gray rather than the pastel winners. Not to mention, going back to my first point, they're all psycho-killers. If they were without sin like dear old dad, they would be immune to the hell heaven rules and just stay there automatically

Alastor being an angel while bieng confirmed to have been a serial killer and a cannibal doesn't make any sense, especially since we dont have any proof that winners are as corrupt as the heaven hierarchy. I also can't express how much I love the Charlie having an angelic form theory. I saw an animatic of Charlie in a more angelic form (I can't remember the channel but I'll add it If I find it.) So basically the story was Charlie glowing with 6 wings was breaking Angel's contract with Valentino, she didn't seem fully conscious and I think that it would be so cool if it was something that happens but she doesn't really realize it happened, y'know?

Here's a thought what if the reason Al made a deal with Charlie is to trick lucifer into thinking that he owns Charlie's soul so he can blackmail lucifer on making a deal with him..

I feel like if Alastor's deal was with Lilith, Adam would know of him- and he didn't. I doubt Lilith would want to risk Adam killing him so she would've probably told him.

🤔 here's a new one ... what if alaster is actually pure evil and has a contract with Serah? In the beginning it showed that earth was perfect until evil found it way to earth? What if it was alaster? And what if Serah by trying to protect her sister ( I think sister) made a contract with alaster ? But now what if Alaster is trying to help Charlie who is trying to send people to heaven so he can reach heaven to destroy it? Because you know .... entertainment 😂

If Alastor isn't serving Lilith, then he's under Roo's heel. If Roo ends up being Eve, then Adam would have to come back.

I think Charlie and Emily are actually niece and aunt with a sister-like relationship since Sera and Emily are seraphim sisters, and Lucifer seems to be a fallen seraphim himself, so Sera could be Lucifer's older sister. That would make Charlie the niece of Sera and Emily, and perhaps to all seraphim if all seraphims are just brothers and sisters.

I disagree for saying that Alastor is an angel. Its just a song with metaphors and idioms. Proof is that his blood is red and not gold unlike the fallen angel Vaggie her blood is still golden. And for Carmilla might be or might be not because she kill an angel and saw numerously so its weapon she can tell it its just the appearance of properties.

Just throwing in that every fallen angel or angel adjacent we have seen so far has had golden blood, Alastor bleeds red.

I think alaster was a winner but adam was jellus of him for being so nice and getting everyone to like him so I think, lilith saw this and made a deal with adam, she probably said she would get rid of him but in reality she did not just get rid of him but also she made a deal with him after alaster got his butt beat in hell. Her seeing an opportunity to not just stay in heven but to also mess with adam, oooorrrr he just said wings sense he just saw angles in the fight
