Larry Mullen Jr is legit like one of my biggest influences on my music and drumming. He taught me that when you are not the best you should come up with something that makes you unique and I totally understand and agree with that.
Both Larry & Adam can be coupled into the same exact 'nutshell' if you will with their instruments only become some of the best to ever do it but also one of the best rhythm duos E V E R.
The way he and Adam Clayton is unique to U2, and they make a great pairing that also compliments The Edge… no one sounds like The Edge on guitar. His use of delay and chorus effects, as well as being a solid strummer… that’s unique to him for sure

Larry Mullen Jr. he is a natural Drummer super talented,with his own and very unique style. There is no other drummer compared to him. He is a big reason why U2 has been so successful with their music, not underestimating his band mates, Bono, The Edge and Adam Clayton of course. Larry is who started The band. Well Larry, you're pretty much the reason I learned to drum. I was 8, listening to Under A Blood Red Sky live album, copying your beats with my mismatched sticks on my mattress. I'm proud of my self taught skills 40 yrs later & love to lose myself in rhythm. Merci Maestro .
Yeah now people should be taking lessons from Larry imo. There are musician that can't even read sheet music play everything by ear and are still hugely successful. U2 wasn't afraid to be controversial either.
Drove by Larry at a turn in killiney I had just past Bono’s gaff and he was heading their I think he was on the Botox it took me a second to know it was him in a Mercedes’ confer-table. He was taking a left but how 😂😂😂😂 was I dreaming? Not sure but I drove by him twice around 2002 working in Dun leire’ can’t spell it.

Larry was/is a very good drummer. To hear proof of that, listen to 'Live Under A Blood Red Sky'. But I wouldn't say he was one of the great drummers. Very good, not great.
