I hate Lego investors with a passion. It takes the fun and imaginative hobby of Lego and turns it into nothing but stocks. Hate might be a really strong word, but I really do.
Agreed. Here in the UK we have investors filming themselves buying up reduced Lego sets (in bulk) and then bragging at how much they’ve resold them for online or at conventions. Some are now moaning about Lego changing their plans on retirement sets, and how they are now stuck with loads of sets they can’t sell!
I don't mind LEGO investors at all. So I got in to Ninjago fairly late. I missed out on the Season 13 sets, which turns out to be my most favorite sets as a wave across any and all themes. I bought all the sets of Season 13, SEALED, because people "invested" in them. Feels great to have the Ninjago S13 sets! I like the sets more than anything else on shelves now aside from the Ninjago modulars and the LotR sets. Oh, the Dungeons and Dragons set is also nice, though the Ninjago S13 sets do better Dungeons and Dragons than the Dungeons and Dragons set LOL!
@@michaelhollis764 I agree. Not sure what the hate is from. Even "dislike" doesn't seem to make sense. My guess is it is resentment because a dislike for LEGO investing appears to be strictly emotional.
If you seriously spent 800 dollars (cad anyway) on a lego set just for a singular minofgure to resell that’s your problem why should the community not be able to get such a iconic character in a cheap set
As someone who's wanted a Rex figure ever since I was a kid. Its really nice seeing Lego make one that is easily acquirable and affordable. In the end, Lego is a toy and its meant for everyone to enjoy not only for profits.
I watched this video and thought “well if they give out free gift cards to people losing money over reselling maybe they give them to people for charity reasons” so I looked into my local grade schools and found the least funded ones, and I looked on legos website to see what I could do. They said they don’t do individual charitable donations because it’s a lot to manage but they wish me luck with my fundraising. I am absolutely baffled. That is the most messed up thing I may have heard in a few years. This school I found is literally filled with homeless children, but if you invested thousands into some minifig here is $60 your trouble. Honestly disgusting
So many people were acting like the Venator was a GWP with a $650 Rex figure. What is crazy to me is on bricklink and ebay, these rex figures are still trying to be sold for so much.
I was going to donate a Captain Rex set I won to help with your giveaway cause but I think it would be easier just to donate the money to help you buy them or whatever. Nice thing you are doing 🙏
Honestly I don't mind people buying sets to resell (that's how we get sets that nowadays aren't on shelves) BUT I despise those who seek to milk dry people that love Lego because they only see it as an easy way to get money. There's a difference between selling and ripping off. I applaud such a sought after figure is now available, and on top of that many people with bad intentions lost money when they purchased the ucs set.
There's been so much discourse over this one figure but at the end of the day I'm just glad I'm going to get this figure much cheaper than I could have otherwise.
Even if Rex is no longer exclusive, at least Admrial Yularen is exclusive. Also, to those who bought the Venator just for Rex, the thing is that YOU had early access to the figure. The people who only have to pay $10 had to wait a year beforehand. It’s like Definitive Editions for video games. Those who experienced it at launch at full price, and those who wait a couple years to get all the DLC at a reduced price. You can’t expect a company to reimburse you just because YOU made the choice to experience something first hand while others got to experience it for less.
This…is scary. Throughout my experiences in the collecting space, I have always encountered these manchildren that have this false sense of self-importance. With it, they bully and intimidate everyone and anyone that goes against their ways. All because they have spent thousands…on toys. They are incredibly insecure about this, and want to be vindicated for their bad spending habits. In this instance, they wanted to see the Rex figure go up in value. This is where LEGO should’ve come in and put their foot down. LEGO, like anyone with common sense, should’ve responded with, “Grow up, it’s not my problem that you tried to “invest” in plastic.” But instead, they have enabled these people. This is truly a horrifying moment in this community, when the LEGO Group themselves sides with the “investors.”
I saw a similar thing with Hot Toys re releasing their war machine figure from iron man 2, alot of comments about the old one losing value because those that missed out can get one for retail price and not 3 times the price on the secondhand market. So like u mentioned not just a Lego thing.
Let's get one thing straight. Lego is for the kids. And if not for actual kids, then for the kid in my heart. Lego is a toy company and I believe should always value the kids far more than the adults that participate. I don't come to Lego to be an adult, I come to Lego to become a kid again for a brief moment and experience the wonder and excitement that comes from opening a new Lego and setting it up. Just being excited and smiling when I see it displayed on my shelf. All of that being said, it's wild to me how out of hand some people have gotten. Like they are entitled to everything and if things aren't perfect, then it's a temper tantrum (hmm maybe we are all kids). But let me make this clear. When I was a kid, I didn't care whether a minifigure had the exact right printing, I was just excited to get a sick looking minifigure. (And I still am). Little things like that don't matter cuz I'm having fun (and that's the point). I don't have a problem with collectors (I sorta am one myself), but when it gets out of hand and people get in this mindset that they are entitled to perfection, it gets me a little upset. You aren't entitled to perfection. Alot of work, time and thought probably went into whatever $500 set you bought. Appreciate that for what it is. You're an adult. Get excited about it. But don't expect it to be perfect and also don't get all angry because someone else only had to pay $12 to get the same cool minifigure you did. You also spent the other $488 to build a 3000+ piece Lego. That's kind of the point. And that's awesome. Enjoy being a kid while building a behemoth of a set. Don't get upset over a minifigure. In that instance, be an adult.
I hate "Investors" and idea of "exclusive" minifigs locked behind price or being sold in only some places. I remember how i wanted a bricktober minifigs as a kid, but in my country there were only one Toys'R'Us and it was far away from where i was living. I know it's not a video about this, but i feel like lego have to be accesible to everyone (especially for children)
theres two types of people who resell lego, people who resell it, and people who spend insane amounts of money buying excessive quantities of sets just to sell one figure
I recently got back into legos after not buying them for like 14 years lol and the Lego scene has changed so much since 2009 . I remember when Lego videos on RUclips were just stop motion videos of random scense from basketball, star wars, soccer etc. I do like this channel tho as it’s not Investing centered.
Thank you friend. I appreciate your kind words. My favorite back in the day was tomjoetwins. Especially their doomsday one. A classic! Welcome back from the dark days of no Lego!
I miss when Bionicle fans, even though Lego fans and Bionicle fans dislike each other, would make stop-motions showcasing their MOCs and stories with their characters. People like Shadowgear6335c BioRockDude, T1Movies, and LenoDude15 were awesome.
@@BravoBricks Oh yeah! I thought they had the coolest action figure building system. You could make your characters look like anything! There are still some BioTubers or Bionicle IG users around, like CallanLOF and Ben Cossy
I don't normally enjoy watching others suffer... But watching scalpers whine because they can't overcharge for one figure... "This, does bring a smile to my face." LEGO should NOT be "compensating" them though... these people shouldn't be encouraged in any way, shape or form. Also, I've seen Clone figures from widely available $10 sets be valued at $30-$50 at resale. I'm guessing this Rex will still be valuable after retirement, just not worth $200 like they hoped.
My problem with Lego is that even though they knew Rex was coming out in a cheaper set long before the public did they were happy to take their percentage from the sales of Rex on their Bricklink site. Thousands of people who wanted Rex and couldn’t afford the Venator payed up to $200 for a now $10 figure all because Lego wording was misleading. Lego made thousands from their bricklink site selling Rex that’s my problem with them and it isn’t like they wouldn’t have known.
@@TiltonRDthey dont control how much they sell for, of course they will take the money they earn from the website. Are you saying you wouldnt do the same?
I think the main reason as to why people are complaining is because in the instructions they said that The figures were exclusive and didn’t say anything about him coming in another set . I guess they were just hoping that if Captain Rex came in another set he wouldn’t have arm printing.
Loved this video and the philosophy on LEGO. So disheartening to see them embrace the plastic brick currency system some people apply to it. I love the Lego economy of Bricklink sellers, but there’s very much two sides to it. Breaks my heart to think LEGO could lose their main audience of children over something so stupid. I am 21 and already priced out of the hobby, I can't even imagine how kids in 2024 must feel about LEGO. It used to be a toy me and my friends bonded over, nowadays I can only imagine the status symbol it almost certainly is for the more well off kids, so few sets are accessible to even mid budget families like mine now, usually just a few a year. They don't consider the school yard politics at all which I LOATHE. Kids are and will continue to be cruel, and LEGO is no less. This set was a step to the right place, but their reimbursements are trashy to me. They show their true colors that way.
I have only ever kept one set in box and that was the GWP brick-built Tahu, not because I was going to resell it but because I love Bionicle and couldn’t bring myself to open it.
I completely agree with you. I bought the UCS and could care less about them using Rex in a micro. I bought the set bcuz I collect UCS’. While Rex is a main character and sought after, it doesn’t validate Lego to issue a refund to consumers. If you “lost value” bcuz of a mini-figure, you shouldn’t have purchased the Set and just wait to buy the mini-fig. I’m over the entitlement ppl have. I pay for my sets, like everybody else but I don’t complain to Lego about it. You all need to grow up!!!
I agree with your points Caleb. I think it’s good for everyone who wanted a Captain Rex can now get their hands on one without paying through the nose to get one. The LEGO investors complaining need to grow up and quit whining. Although I will state as a Star Wars collector myself I still would have preferred this Y-Wing be play scale sized. It would have made for a more entertaining build, in my opinion.
I'd say lego is staying true to their roots with this voucher. Its the children's toy version of speculative investing, putting up the rubber bumpers in bowling, it lets people pretend like they are adults. Godspeed on your counter-attack, and putting up the good fight.
Scalpers can stay mad at that Rex minifigure becoming more accessible. When a teeny little Lego minifigure costs more than a new pair of Jordans, you know there's a problem.
The most I can give the people that are bitching is this I bought the UCS Venator because I love the ship the addition of Captain Rex & Admiral Yularen two characters that I also really like is awesome. Although I heard that version of Captain Rex was exclusive to that set which means that a character that I got is rare but then it was added in a cheaper set making it less rare so I could see feeling misled. BUT while I can understand the feeling of being misled about a figure being rare yet LEGO then makes it really common I absolutely think making key characters as affordable as possible for LEGO fans especially children is a really good thing. So Captain Rex Y-Wing Microfighter is awesome, I don’t like how microfighters look but I love the idea of cheap little sets with key important figures.
Scalpers are what kill collecting. Love the idea of buying a bunch and handing them out to their intended audience, KIDS! you my friend have earned a like and a sub. :) ill hopefully be able to grab one myself, some good sets in this drop!
I am not mad about cheap Rex, however, I don’t think that lego did the right thing in claiming the figure would be exclusive to the venator and then releases the same figure with no difference in a micro fighter. Demanding a voucher from lego is scummy, but lego didn’t handle it perfectly either.
Counter argument: I think when they said that Rex was exclusive to the Venator, I think they meant it as a timed exclusive, similar to what PlayStation did for certain games and how the DLC would come out on other platforms later down the line.
I've noticed that people get bent out of shape over minifigures. Especially if they are of a bunch of Polynesian guys created in a laboratory by a race of inhuman monsters (I'm a SW hypernerd). People were talking sh*t about Fives. I'm just happy we got Fives!
I definitely agree with you. Lego shouldn't have sent those folks anything. Love your videos glad you were able to recover money from your insurance company.
The people complaining to lego deserve absoulutely nothing. It was a dumb move from lego to give them any attention. Now they will come back to cry whenever they have any problems with lego and will expect to be rewarded
A massive number of LEGO sets are purchased in bulk by “investors”. Many came in fairly recently from comics, TCG's and other collectibles. I can see their terminology creeping into LEGO channels, using words like "rug pull", "grail", "pump and dump", "key", "overprinting", "amazon dump" and so on. TLG has no idea with what kind of people they are dealing with here. TLG still thinks most people are buying sets to build on a rainy Sunday. Those days are long gone. TLG needs to wake up fast and decide on it's future course.
If LEGO is really giving $60 vouchers to these people who complained about the Rex being put in the Y-wing microfighter set, that is ridiculous. I still think "investing" in toys is a terrible idea. And it's certainly not their main purpose. It's even better Rex is in a Y-wing set, my favorite starfighter. 😄
I couldn’t agree more, with exception of few, from what I’ve seen, and accidentally followed wrong people when I was first finding community, feels to me like lego investors aren’t exactly a “good” thing for lego, few are “actual” fans, but most are pretenders just taking advantage, it’s rediculous lego is actually giving gift cards, this situation is literally the definition of an investment “risk”, and from something that the other 99% of time, is reliably valuable for them, god forbid ONE lot of 100 sets they bought didn’t work out🙄🤦🏻♂️😡 lego owes them nothing, some karma for all the sets they’ve taken out of fans hands, and sold back to for more💪🤣
I love the fact people are saying there "$650 is now worthless". Honestly I think the people saying the set is now worthless is braindead. For one, you have a venator. The last venator we received was in 2010-2012 (iirc) and that was a play scale version, but you have the UCS version. Next you have admiral yularen, yes he's not as popular as rex but he's a figure we have never seen in Lego form before (iirc) AND he has dual printed legs, which is a rarity in starwars Lego. If you are reading this, and you are one of the many people who bought the UCS set SOLEY for the Capitan Rex to do whatever with it, you really need to re think your financial decisions
Thank you for this video,it has been beyond annoying hearing people complain about Rex. There's no way I could afford a $650 set,so no Rex. If I couldn't get that character I'd deal with it,I'm really glad I'll have a chance to get him now.
Anyone who falls for the tricks of Lego to buy overpriced huge sets because it has „exclusive“ figures in it can only be pitied. I never invested in Lego. And every time I try and sell old stuff for the prices it’s supposed to make, it doesn’t work. I have a Rex that I got my hands on without the whole set and so of course I am a bit angry at myself for paying a lot. But now I get one for cheap 🎉
I’ve had experiences with my own figures where they were only in one set but re released did I care NO because I was just happy other people could get these figures and I’m still hoping they re release the bad batch for example I have the marauder but I want them to come in a cheaper set so more people can get them
Another personal example would be the at te set I didn’t buy it specifically for Cody the gunner and the 212th no I bought It because I wanted a AT TE the figures only helped me justify the price they were just the cherry on top for me the only time where I personally buy a set just for the figure is when the set is less then 30 dollars anything above that I have to like more about the set or I won’t buy it
I think you have a great idea supporting kids within the charity network. Good on you. I am personally happy to finally have a Rex that is obtainable. My favorite character I have not been able to afford in Lego. Happy to get a real one now to replace my fake.
although i genuinely bought the ship for the build and its looks and i love it but on the one hand in the instructions it says exclusive they just shouldn't have said that at all
I think the word exclusive still works here because at the time of release it was exclusive. You’re right, I think the inclusion of the word “timed” before exclusive would have dismissed this entire conversation. Thanks for the comment friend!
@@BravoBricks No, you don’t go out of your way to print it. Kind of ridiculous people make excuses for what they did. I wish they had this kind of time to direct at Rebels Ahsoka that’s 300 freaking dollars. Thank goodness nobody was investing in that set, it might be a reasonable price today.
@@BravoBricksi still think it wasn't smart of them to write it in the instructions because they knew that the two rex sets would be on shelves at the same time. They plan their sets very far ahead. Anyway it could well be just a minor screw up by someone responsible for the instructions and I'm sure this wouldn't have blown up like this were it anything but Lego SW
I agree that Lego sending these scalpers $60 is dumb and these “fans” should not be rewarded for overbuying something they assumed would skyrocket in value. I’m happy for a more reasonable way to get a fan favorite character like Rex.
It does kinda suck for true collectors that it was only exclusive for a few months, since it’s cool to have something more rare. That said, people getting mad about a drop in value of something they *claim* they don’t want to sell shows a lot about their character. I’d love if my expensive sets and minifigs crashed in value, because the crazy prices just create the mindset that I have to coddle the stuff. All I really want to do is build and play, but the constant pressure about money and resale and all that nonsense ruins it.
I dont believe TLG actually send out those giftcards until i see something more tangible than a picture online. Could very well be faked for laughs or more drama
I’m definitely getting one, been wanting one for years, hopefully one day they make another affordable set with jango fett and zam wessel, them along with another arc trooper battle pack are 2 Lego star war sets that I really want.
After fully watching the video, my old comment still applies where I can see the complaint about feeling misled but overall affordable key Star War figures should just be considered objectively a good thing. I just wanted to add I like the video & the idea of passing the Rex Y wing out to kids is awesome. Hopefully everything goes well with that & the kids love it.
1. If you buy a 650usd set with several thousand pieces, and you're upset about 5 of those pieces, you don't deserve to say anything on the topic. 2. Finally I can have a rex to lead my clones without having to buy a 650usd lego set, or spend 300usd to buy a single fig
I agree 100% tho I suspect the $60 voucher is only being offered because the instructions said it was exclusive. Definitely something was misspoken there but it is a contradicting statement. In any other case I'm sure it'd be something else
I hate Lego investors, especially the ones that remove figures from sets and sell them off, but I just wish ucs sets had cooler figures even if they had to be exclusive because of the designer budget and stuff.
Now days you have so many people stocking up on sets and think they are the only ones in 10 years who did that, I can still buy the blacksmith shop for $180 off Amazon lol it’s been retired since January
While certainly there are plenty of those manbabies complaining for those reasons, it doesn’t change that it was essentially false advertising. There is a legitimate complaint there. Lego stated it was an exclusive minifigure and less than a year later made it not exclusive. I’m all for accessibility and love that it’s coming in a cheaper set and more people will be able to get Rex. It doesn’t mean Lego want wrong for how that went down though.
I’m so glad I’m not a man baby. 😂. Thank you for posting the unpopular opinion cuz all the videos I see are the opposite. It’s a good thing that more people can get this very coveted fig. The LEGO Group just made the mistake of saying it was exclusive but you have to give them props for not keeping it exclusive (in other words saying they were wrong) and letting as many people that want it have a chance to get it in a cheap set.
I dont see anything wrong with the new Rex I see it as the UCS Venator Rex will be used for display but the Y-Wing Rex will be used for army building or moc creation, I see the same with any exclusive minifigures in Adult sets being placed in less expensive sets
I think the point is not the mini figure… but more a question the use of the term Exclusive..which mini figure is next.? Lord Of The Rings.. Marvel.. Batman..Ninjango.. as fas as a “toy”… Toys dont sell for $400,500,600 dollars… Lego has definitely put a shadow over the term Exclusive.
If I spent 650 on a set just to get 1 figure that I want really bad and I decide to buy it because it is exclusive and this is my only shot at it… then fuck Lego for lying to their buyers
I totally agree just because Lego release a small set with a popular character people are getting mad at them for it if you really wanted a Rex that bad you’d wait knowing how popular he is and how many shows he keeps returning in of course he’s gonna appear in another set Lego knows the community would keep at them if they did keep it behind the paywall people should think with their heads rather than with their wallets especially if it’s just for reselling or investing it comes with a risk of loosing like you perfectly explained most people are gonna go out and buy the set and enjoy it weather it’s for display or play which is why it was made in the first place.
your closited discussian about this controversy reminds me how critical alot of lego star wars RUclipsrs are i think the current clones are pretty good they have "problems" like helmet holes but at the end of the day it's a toy it's supposed to be played with and customised and I quite enjoy having the option, I have a distaste for the scalpers, and if it wasn't for the fact scalpers didn't flip these sets for a profit as an investment, I would probably be more understanding of the complaint that lego took the exact same fig they said would be exclusive and put it in a new set, however alot of people were just scalping the set, I'm more concerned about what this might mean for future lego star wars sets, I would of loved a venetor class ship but I wouldn't of bought it just for the figures I don't think anyone should buy a set like that for minifigures as annoying as it is for companies to go back on their word they don't deserve compensation, genuine lego set collectors will be upset that they were lied too about the minifigures exclusivity however the minifig was not worth that much money in compensation
Ok, after watching the whole video, I do think the people that bought the Venator are TECHNICALLY correct when they say that their figure was supposed to be exclusive. It is a lie on LEGO's end. As someone familiar with the design and release windows for sets and the process of when manuals are printed during a set's "birth," I can almost guarantee that LEGO already knew it was releasing a Captain Rex Y Wing before the Venator's manual was even printed. Like everyone else in the community, I do agree that an easy fix would be to remove the bandage on Rex's forehead for the microfighter. Kids won't care. And if I was still collecting Star Wars, I for sure would not care. Another option would have been to leave the EXCLUSIVE verbiage off the manual since LEGO already knew it was not going to be an exclusive figure. Unfortunately, it is wrong to say something is exclusive if it is not exclusive. I would also argue that the degree of wrongness is greater when you know that the figure won't be exclusive in 9 months, before the manual is even printed LOL.
I just see it as it sucks for the people that didn’t want the venator and just bought Rex off eBay, bricklink, whatnot for 60$ or more for their personal collection now there is 13$ Set
They should be glad Captain Rex is coming out in a cheap set because 10 years from now the supply will have dwindled down and the next wave of LSW kids will want one These "investors" have no clue on how minifig investing works; you're supposed to amass a decent-to-huge amount of certain minifigs & hold onto them, selling a few years after retirement (or longer) - the problem is, everyone is holding out for another Cloud City Boba Fett, which will NOT happen due to how large Lego "investing" has become (although a lot of minifigs gain value as time goes on, so it's still worth buying as many as you can while they're being produced) Side note, I used to have 2 CC Boba Fett minifigs & can say it's extremely overrated, it's not worth paying thousands of dollars for nowadays
I definitely don’t like the fact that Lego specifically said Rex was exclusive and they should be called out for that, but people are complaining too damn hard. Let people enjoy Rex
I think if something is marked as exclusive then it is supposed to be exclusive. There is not such thing as "timed exclusive" unless it is stated that way. You can call them man-babies but I'm sure there are normal people who just collect lego and wanted the exclusive minifigure. Lego can make a MILLION rex minifigures, they do not have to release the SAME EXCLUSIVE expensive figure they marketed it as. I don't buy or care about lego stars wars but everyone is treating anyone who is upset about this like a baby scalper, like no some people probably spent their hard earned money on an exclusive figure they wanted and it was a lie..... just crazy to me
They are sending the vouchers because they know they are wrong btw. You don't start sending refunds out to people because they feel bad, its because when you say something is exclusive... thats what it means.... exclusive. Literally the definition of the word. Its not a mystery why people would be mad about it not being exactly what they said it was.
Yes but Lego sent out those vouchers so people can spend it at Lego .. so they aren’t actually losing anything Lego is probably getting more out of this exchange than not .. 60 dollars sounds like a lot but and that amount falls within the 50-75 price range yes you can work your way backwards from the 25-50 dollars then under 25 dollars . But for this let’s just stay in the 50- 75 You could buy a brick backpack for $50.00 dollars or the black panther war on water set for +$53.99 the backpack with tax is $54.19 the black panther set with tax is $58.51 Only other option would be the $54.99 sets if we are staying in the 50- 75 price range.. that will keep us under or near the $60 voucher $54.99 + the $4.62 tax = $59.60 that’s under and the next price is $59.99 and with taxes at $4.62 that’s going make you go over your $60 dollars voucher And that $ 4.62 amount is what I would have to pay for tax .yours might be different depending on your state and other variables
Didn’t noticed this much drama over the goat more excitement then anger then the suply line of the original are pretty dried up. I think its the cross of star wars fans too I have a original Rex and didn’t notice he was so valuable until recently the new one is missing a kama but with 3rd party soft goods its q easy fix.

I know it's not a video about this, but i feel like lego have to be accesible to everyone (especially for children)
i hate scalpers
theres two types of people who resell lego, people who resell it, and people who spend insane amounts of money buying excessive quantities of sets just to sell one figure
Tbh I’m 95% sure that the “LEGO giving you $60 if you prove that you bought the Venator” was fake to troll LEGO investors or something
@@StormX6 yes! I miss bonkle. I wish they’d made a return.
@@BravoBricks Oh yeah! I thought they had the coolest action figure building system. You could make your characters look like anything! There are still some BioTubers or Bionicle IG users around, like CallanLOF and Ben Cossy
Welcome out of your dark age. Almost slipped into one myself after high school but never did. Yeah Lego has changed some for the better some not.
So… LEGO valued a figure at $60 which they put in a $10 set?
Exactly! That's a great way of looking at it!
@@falloutgamer347 they could put a stop to scalping at any time. Just an earlier set reveal could have prevented people from overpaying 50-60 $
@@jakobkrakstrom4101 thats true
I think the main reason as to why people are complaining is because in the instructions they said that The figures were exclusive and didn’t say anything about him coming in another set . I guess they were just hoping that if Captain Rex came in another set he wouldn’t have arm printing.
Why the f did they have to say that in the instruction and just remove exclusive from the SenteCe in the instructions and done less contreversy
Preach it!
I love a good Y wing. I agree with your points though!
Great video! I just subscribed! However, I do feel like man babies is a harsh term!
I will monitor the slurs going forward. Thanks for the sub!
Lego investors: I HATE POOR PEOPLE!!
A sealed UCS Venator will continue to go up in value😊.
The most I can give the people that are bitching is this
I bought the UCS Venator because I love the ship the addition of Captain Rex & Admiral Yularen two characters that I also really like is awesome.
Counter argument:
I think when they said that Rex was exclusive to the Venator, I think they meant it as a timed exclusive, similar to what PlayStation did for certain games and how the DLC would come out on other platforms later down the line.
@@elibridgers2781 Can't argue with that one. They should still make it clear though, even IF it is timed exclusive.
Thank you friend, I appreciate the support and your comment.
Im so happy that i was able to get rex for so cheap
I’m happy for you! I’m thrilled it can be enjoyed by the masses.
The people complaining to lego deserve absoulutely nothing. It was a dumb move from lego to give them any attention. Now they will come back to cry whenever they have any problems with lego and will expect to be rewarded
I’m just happy to have it.
It’s just wrong to give them money I’m pretty sure they did not even say it’s exclusive.
I was looking around for that too and it was a ‘special edition’ but nothing about exclusivity that i could find
It says exclusive in the instructions
@@deadlycupofJOE yea actually it does say that on page 8. But still the resellers are over reacting
TLG knows exactly what it's doing or dealing with if you ask me. A huge company like that doesn't just stumble into things
I actually really like the build for this microfighter!
Fake. Not true. They are not doing that it was a meme
@@piotr78 Same the front part and sidra is so good i Like how they did the sides the most
I couldn’t agree more, with exception of few, from what I’ve seen, and accidentally followed wrong people when I was first finding community, feels to me like lego investors aren’t exactly a “good” thing for lego, few are “actual” fans, but most are pretenders just taking advantage, it’s rediculous lego is actually giving gift cards, this situation is literally the definition of an investment “risk”, and from something that the other 99% of time, is reliably valuable for them, god forbid ONE lot of 100 sets they bought didn’t work out🙄🤦🏻♂️😡 lego owes them nothing, some karma for all the sets they’ve taken out of fans hands, and sold back to for more💪🤣
I love the fact people are saying there "$650 is now worthless".
Great video, but why the closet, you hiding from someone?
My fiancé works from home and she was still on the clock. I didn’t want to bother her while she was still working.
I completely with agree with your points
Did people send emails to Wall street when they lost money??? Good video, keep it up!
You do what you gotta do man, I'm all for it!! Investors like this shouldn't be upset over a few pieces of plastic. It's just petty behavior.
Ooo. Not a huge big Star Wars set collector. Imma get Rex now.
Yup I agree it a win win for all of us .....
Thanks for being brave enough to talk about this. These trust fund kids that are headlining this side of the community need to be pushed out
I agree 100% tho I suspect the $60 voucher is only being offered because the instructions said it was exclusive. Definitely something was misspoken there but it is a contradicting statement. In any other case I'm sure it'd be something else
i litterally agree with you 100%
I’m glad you do! You’re rational!
@@BravoBricks i also got that small Rex set, because of this drama xd
I hate Lego investors, especially the ones that remove figures from sets and sell them off, but I just wish ucs sets had cooler figures even if they had to be exclusive because of the designer budget and stuff.
Why would somone do that🤔
Lego should reissue the cloud city boba fett in a microfighter. It would be amazing to see how the investers react.
THAT WOULD BE AMAZING
Nah they would never use a old design
Plus we alredy have a decent boba fett starfigther
It's so funny that the most toxic part of the Star Wars community is the Lego one, which is mainly targeted for kids
Now days you have so many people stocking up on sets and think they are the only ones in 10 years who did that, I can still buy the blacksmith shop for $180 off Amazon lol it’s been retired since January
They are entitled to something.... whatever the price is after the dust settles.
This dude is a gigachad!
But hey I’m buying the set but just feel bad for that side of people not scalpers
I think that’s a fair argument to make.
I think we all know the Man Baby he's talking about. 😉
THANK YOU
They should be glad Captain Rex is coming out in a cheap set because 10 years from now the supply will have dwindled down and the next wave of LSW kids will want one
These "investors" have no clue on how minifig investing works; you're supposed to amass a decent-to-huge amount of certain minifigs & hold onto them, selling a few years after retirement (or longer) - the problem is, everyone is holding out for another Cloud City Boba Fett, which will NOT happen due to how large Lego "investing" has become (although a lot of minifigs gain value as time goes on, so it's still worth buying as many as you can while they're being produced)
Side note, I used to have 2 CC Boba Fett minifigs & can say it's extremely overrated, it's not worth paying thousands of dollars for nowadays
Yes you’re so right
I definitely don’t like the fact that Lego specifically said Rex was exclusive and they should be called out for that, but people are complaining too damn hard. Let people enjoy Rex
This video just earned my sub glad someone called this out
Lol they deserve nothing...
Just bought 2 😂
People are sooooo entitled!
Why be mad? It just came out and I’m going to buy one!! Woohoo!
Its not a mystery why people would be mad about it not being exactly what they said it was.
actually that screenshot about the 60 dollar voucher is fake, it was made too make ppl angrier about the situation.
Also imagine the jimmy rustling if this minifigure came with a cloth kama lol!
❤️
Yes but Lego sent out those vouchers so people can spend it at Lego .. so they aren’t actually losing anything Lego is probably getting more out of this exchange than not ..
60 dollars sounds like a lot but and that amount falls within the 50-75 price range yes you can work your way backwards from the 25-50 dollars then under 25 dollars . But for this let’s just stay in the 50- 75
You could buy a brick backpack for $50.00 dollars or the black panther war on water set for +$53.99 the backpack with tax is $54.19 the black panther set with tax is $58.51 Only other option would be the $54.99 sets if we are staying in the 50- 75 price range.. that will keep us under or near the $60 voucher
$54.99 + the $4.62 tax = $59.60 that’s under and the next price is $59.99 and with taxes at $4.62 that’s going make you go over your $60 dollars voucher
And that $ 4.62 amount is what I would have to pay for tax .yours might be different depending on your state and other variables
Wasn’t the email faked?
Didn’t noticed this much drama over the goat more excitement then anger then the suply line of the original are pretty dried up. I think its the cross of star wars fans too I have a original Rex and didn’t notice he was so valuable until recently the new one is missing a kama but with 3rd party soft goods its q easy fix.
tbf it didnt skyrocket right after it retired between 2014-2019 it was like 7 dollars consistently
