Interesting to see how you've ranked these! I Love the Novice sweater and have made it 4 times, the fit is so good for me across the yoke. I guess alot depends on body shape. The Novice cardigan is also high on my ranking as it fits well and is easy to do. Petit Knit patterns are so easy to follow.
I love her patterns, and there’s a reason I keep knitting them 😍 I find circular yokes difficult in general, but I need to keep experimenting with them to find the right amount of ease for me.
Interesting, I wonder what part you struggle with as you seem to be a very experienced knitter. I'm hoping to do some of her crew necks but hesitant Re. Short rows!
I find it so interesting to see how people rank things like this, because it truly is so subjective! The Lyon is totally an S tier for me, I love the fit of the shoulder construction and I keep using it for the basis of lots of modifications
I just found your knitting RUclips podcast! I absolutely love your sense of humor, personality, and your knitting is beautiful! Thank you for the extensive petite knit evaluations. I look forward to more of your videos!
Thank you - very interesting! I have a lot of Petit Knit clothes, my favorites are Novice and Sundaysweater, not the same like you ;) thanks to your recommendation, because of them, I think I should knit the No Frills or the Stockholm Sweater - thank you ☺
i'm glad you made this. i love PK too, but i'm not her size, so it's great to hear another perspective and reviews on her patterns. thanks to your reviews, i'm planning on making the novice sweater next 😄 but with short row modifications
I’m definitely not her size either, and I wish she would include a wider range of models in her sample photos. I’ve never done short rows on the novice! I’m not good at thinking and doing my own knitting math, but I should probably start experimenting more with adding short rows and such. Seems like such a nice skill to have!
Just found you channel as I was looking for petiteknit Junior knits. I am so excited to see your top knits. I feel like petiteknit gets a lot of hate as everyone knits the patterns but I love the designs. I think most of my knits are 90% PK and I love them all. I definitely need to make the Stockholm, you talked to nicely about it!!! I cannot wait for your baby/junior videos, my little one is almost 2 and I made her so many PK jumpers, I love them all. Curious to see what your favourites are. Looking forward to seeing more of your videos 🤍🤍
So happy to have you here 😍 I love petiteknit patterns as well. They’re so well made, and I find the finished pieces to be really good. Love her kids patterns as well, and really need to find the time to make the next ranking video 🥰
Hei - takk for utrolig fin episode!
I JUST finished knitting the sophie scarf, I was literally watching the beginning of your videos as I was finishing it up hahaha, it was my first ever (other than a scrunchie) project and boyyy was it tedious, it got really really boring, I am hoping my next project will convince me knitting is for me
The best way to fall in love with knitting is to find a garment you really like, and make it. I find sweaters to be much better first projects than accessories because accessories can be quite fiddly! And wearing something you made is just such aka amazing feeling. The novice sweater from petite knit is a great beginner pattern. I only have beef with it because I don’t pay attention to the pattern while knitting it and end up making all kinds of mistakes 😂 and there’s videos on her website for every new technique 🙌🏽 I hope you’ll enjoy knitting. Because it’s truly a great hobby ❤️
My fav pattern among all is the April cardigan with double knitting button band❤ one thing that I realised is her sweater patterns’ neckline are always too small, even for kids.. So I always have to modify the neckline which is quite annoying sometimes
I really want to try the April cardigan at some point! A lot of people seem to be very happy with it. I also really like the Copenhagen. Yeah I’ve noticed the thing with the neckline as well. Especially if there’s double knitting to make the fold line. I’m a big fan of knitting twice the length, folding over and casting off. I’ll usually knit one down, cast off, knit one, cast off and then knit one down. I’ve noticed this gives me more elasticity than knitting down every stitch.
Since you’ve knitted so many of her patterns, do you find that some may be too similar? I’ve only knit her Oslo hat and haven’t made any of her other garment patterns yet. Thank you for sharing your work with us. 😊
I do find some patterns to be similar, but the fit is often different. For instance: raglan sweaters are quite similar, but will have different positive ease. Sometimes I’ll just modify a pattern (like the caramel), and sometimes I’ll buy a new pattern. If a pattern is written with a specific yarn I’d like to knit with in mind, I’ll often pick that one - just because I know I’ll like the end result. Or if a pattern includes stripes I’ll buy it, because I don’t want to do the math myself. Hoped that helped!
Great video you are very talented. It would have been nice to see pictures/video clips of you in the sweaters.
I agree! The time got the better of me (as it usually does), but I’ll keep it in mind for future videos ❤️

I agree! It’s so subjective. I’m tempted to re-knit the Lyon, just because I think it has more potential for me. Maybe I’ll do the chunky version 🥰
@@stinefriishalsThe lyon chunky is one of my most worn hand knits!!!
Thank you I’m just ordering yarn today for the Lyon

It’s really interesting hearing what other people’s favourites are. And it’s so personal as well!
Wow! That’s a lot of Petite Knit. Nothing wrong with that, though ;) I can’t wait to see this video in the baby/toddler version! ♥️👶🏻
It is … a lot 😂

wooow so many patterns you have knit! amazing video 😊
I was astonished when I started counting 😅

Helt enig!

Great summary. I agree completely with you about garter stitch being totally boring and brioche being a pain to knit. 😂
Garter is the worst!!
Great video, very informative :)
Thank you 😍
For DK weight sock yarn I really liked Jarbo Raggi or lang yarns touring which in my opinion feels softer. Or just double regular sock yarn :)
Ooh thank you! I’ll be on the lookout for it 😍
@@stinefriishals If you can get knit picks they also have a really nice dk weight sock yarn
Great list. I’m with you on the Sophie scarf….i Hate garter stitch. 😊
Finally someone else who’s not a big fan 😂 it’s pretty and all, but so tedious to knit 🥲
😂😂 you are not alone. I also hate brioche stitches. Bought a few patterns with brioche, never made any of them. 😅😅😅
It’s horrible! And too dense for my liking 🥲 So I’m staying as far away from it as humanly possible.
