Brilliant bits of kit! Not only great for Ronnies but brilliant for hinge stiff rigs enabling you to go from a short hook section to a long one in seconds! 👌🏻👍🏻🎣🐳
A nice bit of kit that will no doubt find its way into my tackle box. With regards to Ronnie Rigs, I have never understood the need for shrink tubing. At the end of my stiff booms I tie on a size 11 large ring quick release swivel (ronnie swivels?). My hooks are all kitted out with rig rings and stops but I put an inck long section of 1.5mm silicone tubing over the eye and up the shank. This stays on the hook but is slid down over the eye and the hook on the swivel securing it when in use. Whenever I need to change hooks I can just slide the tubing up onto the hook and put another one one and slide the tubing back down again. Silicone tubing holds the hook in position perfectly but is reusable so when you have knackered a hook you can take the components off and put them on another.
With the stiff boom I use a long tapered sleeve that covers the knot so no need for shrink tubing there either. Again that is reusable. The advantange with the hooks is that they are very quick to change and if you use hook boxes you can store them in there all ready rigged.
I am not claiming what I do is right or if this method is but it is nice to have a choice. We all have our own way of doing things and I have gained lots over the years taking on board other anglers ideas so I hope it is of benefit to others.
Great for de-attaching the boom section from the hook end section whilst the carp stays safely in the net aswell 👍🏻 l use a sml chod to either a stiff or supple boom section, a simple but awesome idea from esp
Been using these since they first came out. The speed that you can slip on a new rig and get the rod back on the spot makes these a must
Totally agree!
Superb product!
Thx ESP
One of the best things in carp tackle for me ever great idea , it’s fair to say the qc clip is very strong so don’t be put off I’ve had big fish on them and they’ve never moved. Fish with confidence I do 💥 well done esp 👏
Glad you like them Steve
Caught a couple using these this week with trig hammer Ronnie's. Mega items of tackle from esp 👍
I see a lot of other possibilities with this product guys 👌👌👌
Hinges especially!
@@ESPCarpgear yes and combi rigs
Defo gonna be trying that and stop me taking the kitchen sink on a day session
Game changer.
Good video
Could you use the ronnie clip as a wafter counterbalance
I use these great product.
what not do you use to tie the ronnie clip on please ?
Use little sections of black daiwa hydro elastic, instead of shrink. Faster, neater, cheaper: One length will last a lifetime.
@CastAirLead that’s a fact.
What size m8?
if a crayfish moves the swivel bead then its bye bye rig as it will be easy for the hooklink detach?? 🤔
Never had it happen, but it is certainly possible. If trays are that bad then tying direct to a swivel would be a better idea.
👌🏻👌🏻
Can you use it with out the o ring so it sits lower in the water
Yes that is still possible.
Bonjour où les acheter je trouve pas le liens
What knot do you use to tie the clip to the boom ?
Whatever is your strongest!
I use a lighter for removal and shrinking , takes a matter of seconds
Anyone used these with hinges? Isit worth changing
Yes definitely 👍
@@PoohfacedBadger I used the nash ones before they were just so big and bulky
@@theavidcarper4745 they really are fantastic and the small ones sit lovely
@@PoohfacedBadger thankyou Ive ordered some
The small is ideal for most hinges :)
Hello Sir
Oi kids the only reason all these companies want you to use Ronnie's is cos u gotta buy loads of their gizmos to tie one.
It's obv an OK rig but if everyone including you is using it then you'd b better not doin. Carp ain't as daft as carp men in my humble experience lol and they wise up.
I rarely see a carp vid without it bein a Ronnie or hinge. I've never used either and catch more than most folk.
I guess I must b old skool!
how the hell is this quicker
Because it only has one stage instead of 4-5.
Ronnie Rigs are well over rated.
Non sais juste toi qui ne sais pas pêché avec..
