Just a word of warning guys! When putting the hook on, put it on the other way so the point of the spinner swivel is facing away from the point of the hook. This ensures there’s no chance of a double hook hold in the fish’s mouth! Causing damage etc… Thought I’d mention this as I’ve seen this happen a couple of times. Love the vids, keep it up!
Yes it works, but ive seen a hilarious video of a duck dipping its head under water and pulling it off the screw lmao made me laugh@creatureswithcalvin3084
My daughter caught her first fish yesterday with this technique! Weirdly enough, I wasn't even using a pop up.. Weird rig set up to be fair, but she caught.. Only a little 4lb mirror, but she was well into it. 💪🏼
I personally use this rig for like every kind of bait presentation. Just a week ago, I caught a mid 40 pounder on a Snowman, attached to the spinner rig. (Hook was a size 4 curve shank) Don't worry of using the spinner rig with bottom baits :) Greetings from Germany😃
Wow just this morning I'd decided to learn how to tie this rig and I was hoping for you guys to have made a video on it as your other tutorials are so easy and boom 41 minutes ago 🎣
Another great video! Would you consider maybe doing a short video explaining when to use different types of hooklength materials with the different patterns of hooks for carp fishing? For example a stiff boom material instead of a coated braid or flurocarbon for x type of rig because...
I use a wafter with this set up Carl and sometimes a pop-up but I use a dumbbell wafter and I literally caught a nice 25lber at the weekend on this rig love it and I love you videos the tutorials and ya main channel keep it up mate
Thank you for these great tips. My son is a big fan of yours and he insisted we watch your tips to catch more fish . He is 11 years and determined to catch big the next time we go out. Thanks again.
I use spinner rig on our biggest river in CZ and its working well with wafters popups and bottom baits, the hook was everytime perfictly in carp mouth.
@@seanbradley3759 use a mini marshmallow and a piece of grass instead of a boilie stop. Casts well, ads no weight and is super sweet. I've caught several commons to 30lb using that. Can't leave it for half a session is the only thing, but if you know where the fish are and they're on the feed, good for a couple of hours.
You can tie a cheaper version using only braid and swivels, use an ssg to pin the pop up down. In fact, I think Terry Hearn made a video about this and used a double granny not between the hook and swivel. Really simple. Plus, you don't need to shell out on the Korda gear.
Hi, great vid, easy to follow and clear. The only thing I'm stuck on (because I'm new) is how do I attach this to the main line? I've seen too many ways for all sorts of rigs and it's all getting a bit much... Thanks
Im relativly new to carp fishing and a little underwhelmed with my progress. The pond I fish is a float only. What rig would you suggest fishing this type of pond. Lead weight is allowed, but no method/ bait alarm setup. So I've been using float regular shots and a hook with minimal catch. I've seen others anglers us paste. Also, pellet with a pop-up above. I'm curious to know how and what's the best float rig for this scenario. Also, there is minimal weed. The video title link to what you suggest would also be helpful. Thanks, D
I've never used the spinner rig yet, I have all the kit to make them. I'm doing a 48 session in Andover on Monday and thinking of trying this on one rod.
If fishing this on a helicopter style and you’re casting to showing fish without leading around causing minimal disturbance, how do you know how far to put the top bead up ? Same with a chod rig please? I’ve never used either rig but feel I should get a few more rigs tied up for any eventuality. I’ve made five spinner rigs and have also tied some chods. I just don’t want to whack it out there and then pondering that my presentation is terrible. Any help would be much appreciated please. Thank you guys 🎣
I have a random question. I have got back into mu fishing and bought my first carp rod recently. Isit necessary for me to have a bite alarm at this stage?..
I know you will most likely not see this comment, but is the boom material and krimps necessary as I don’t own either, could I just tie a fluorocarbon to a swivel attached to both swivels attached to the hook and the lead system?
Brand spanking new to fishing, I was under the impression that the hook length needs to be slimmer than the main line. Can you explain the 25lb breaking strain? I'm guessing you can't use it on a 10lb main line?
Create a loop at the end of your hook links. Use quick change swivel on the other side. Just slide the loop into the quick change swivel and cover it with anti tangle rubber.
i went to a newly joined water and asked a few locals what they were using etc (always good to get local info) i said i liked to use Method feeders. They said, " you will catch, but mostly Bream, use a Ronnie" i had no idea what a Ronnie was but learned it,,, on the next trip i got 3 runs, 2 fish ... not big, but Carp nonetheless.
I'm no expert, but as far as I know, lead size should almost always be determined by hook size. The bigger the hook, the bigger the lead. This aids in a good hookset with bolt rig fishing. A decent place to start is: 1 oz leads for size 7-10 hooks, 2 oz leads for size 4-6 hooks, and 3 oz leads for size 2-3 hooks. The obvious exceptions to this rule are river fishing or fishing in current, or when you are fishing on large drop offs. In these instances you want heavier leads to aid in holding bottom better.
As a rookie, I Almost always go out and buy the components needed to make the rigs you show in your fishing tutorials C+A.. Gonna experiment though, using the inline large Bait Up method feeder. Pressing the hook into my pack/method bait, with a 15mm wafter squid boilie, to slowly present itself nicely once as the ground bait falls from underneath it!
Why would u need crimping stuff instead of just tying an ordinary loop? 🤔 I tried the Ronnie for the first time other day after reading so many stories of never losing fish and the move ability of it all making so much sense. 7 aborted takes. Brilliant
Great video as always lads. I must admit tho I’m sick to death of hearing the words “Ronnie rig”. It’s way overused and people use it just to be in the ‘trend’. You also need about £30 worth of terminal tackle to tie it... fu*k that. I’ll stick to the good old big standard hair rig, cheap and simple and just as effective.

I like replacing the ring swivel and bait floss for a bait screw, a lot easier to change hook bait and less parts needed!
does it work i would love tot know as it sounds great
Yes it works, but ive seen a hilarious video of a duck dipping its head under water and pulling it off the screw lmao made me laugh@creatureswithcalvin3084
not sure id mine was a dodgy pack or something but every cast my screw would come off the rings every cast
Yes same here , dont trust them @Exfill007
@@greedo5120 yh. theres literally no need to use a bait screw. its just laziness
Pretty much everything I know is from you guys you 2 are so great it’s unreal - never stop making video
I love how u guys put so much effort into these videos 👍
Every vid like there insane!
I have learnt all my fishing rigs from this channel, thank you

I’ve just started to do these rigs. Be using them next week for the first time. Keep up the great work lads.
Hey Guys, love your turtorials about rigs!!! Keep on doing!
I do use a Ronnie rig with a bottom bait and had good success, on bolie or meat
Love this rig! Great video again guys
I use spinner rig on our biggest river in CZ and its working well with wafters popups and bottom baits, the hook was everytime perfictly in carp mouth.
Caught plenty using this rig😎💪🏼 with a boillie on as bait and a little sack of pva with crushed up boillie and pellet inside 👍
Struggling to make these with the korda Kickers as the Kicker doesn't easily go over the hook eye just used shrink tubing in the end
Sweetcorn and a mini marshmallow works well with this as well.
Woah woah...mini marshmallow???? Tell me more...

I always try and get my friends on the boom but for some reason nobody wants to use it, too stiff I guess but I love it for my Ronnie's
Beautiful explanation Carl.

Another great informative video thank you👍
Could I use this rig for a inline lead for solid pva bags. On a hard bottom

Always something to learn
can you still use the crimps on the coated braid?
I have a random question.

Good vid guys ... 👌🏻🎣 just a rig I can’t get on with. Had a few fish on it ... Just can’t
Brilliant one lads!
Can you make this rig with any other boom section asking as I want to give it a go I have most of kordas braids??
Aup both of you, could you please do a tutorial on the chod rig please
Well presented video thank-you
Very informative 👏
Never used it but I might give it a go on Monday...
Can I use a beaked piont hook with a Ronnie ? 🎣
Hi guys , if fishing a bait screw you don’t need the micro ring swivel??
Cheers lads!

Awesome videos. 👏🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🔥🔥🔥
I'm fishing a silty lake with the spinner rig using korda boom. The bottom is quite choddy and silty what soft braid would you advice? Thanks
Make a video on how to edit videos in 2021. I'm absolutely rubbish but you guys are amazing 👏
My favourite rig
Just the information I was after thank you. You explained it perfectly 👌. Do people use barbed hooks for carp fishing?
Microbarbed personally but have used barbed when I got a pre tied rig but when the hook goes blunt I change it to my microbarb ones
Ronnie rig is my go to, it hasn't failed me yet, it hooks so well. Also guys do you have any leader videos?
What bait you use with it
Could I use this on any rig for example a running rig or lead clip? Or does it have to be a lead clip? Thanks
Can use it with lead clip or helicopter but not inline
Brand spanking new to fishing, I was under the impression that the hook length needs to be slimmer than the main line. Can you explain the 25lb breaking strain? I'm guessing you can't use it on a 10lb main line?
Use 50lb leader
Great vid boys thanks for the tip
How do you connect to the mainline
I have some pre-tied butatleast i have a video that is easy to follow for when i tie my own.
what size of crimps you use on this rig?

Yes :)
What are your personal favourite rig ?

A negative thing is that to tie this rig you need lot of materials and device
